bed bugs and blood after the bug was killed

THEY HAD BUG BITES AND WOULDNT GIVE US A REFUND AFTER NOT STAYING ANY OF THE DAYS. we stayed at the hotel for almost an hour until my daughter had been bitten by a bed bug. payed 700 dollars for them to not give us a single dollar back and when we brought the issue to the management they ghosted us.

Smoke detector

Stayed at a Choice Hotels property in Wixom MI. We were forced to leave 3 hours into our stay due to health and safety issues (disabled smoke alarm, all electrical outlets missing wall plates, outlets inoperable, and bed bugs). The manager Tony Bhooi not only will not respond, but double charged us for the stay. Choice hotels will only refund 1-night per policy, even though we were charged twice and could not stay there. We will never stay at another Choice property. Their franchise owners and corporate representatives are scam artists and thieves.

DON'T STAY HERE!!!! Hands down, the NASTIEST hotel we've ever stayed in, with the RUDEST staff. My family and I were tired and trying to find a hotel near Kensington before our road trip around 11pm. The hotel looked decent on the outside, but it was a nightmare on the inside. The pull-out couch had what looked like mouse droppings (poop) all on it; the phone didn't work, and the cord literally came out and couldn't be put back in; the carpet had big red stains; the whole hallway smelled like mildew. I took pictures of all of it! The front desk guy, a foreigner, refused to refund our money and NEVER APOLOGIZED for the filth in our room, even after we politely stated our disgust and showed him the pictures. He offered us another room, and that room had mouse droppings and a broken phone too! Then our replacement room had a bright light that kept turning on and off by itself. When I called the front desk again, the rude front desk guy told me there wasn't anything he could do. Still no refund!

I recently booked a week stay at this hotel traveling for work. I often travel for my job, and have never been treated so poorly or seen such filthy rooms. I have never asked to switch hotel rooms before, but my first room was very dirty, the bathroom smelled like urine and had hair and grime on the floor. The sheets were stained and the drawers dirty. It was midnight and I had been traveling all day, but I couldn't imagine stepping bare feet on the bathroom floor and requested another room. Kevin at the front desk was very nice and gave me a room on another floor. This room was also filthy. Toothpaste on the bathroom counter, disgusting floors, crumbs on the couch, so un-inviting and even concerning. It was now 6 hours until I had to be up for work, so I spent the night and got to my job, coming back on my lunch break the following day to check out. I explained the situation to the person at the front desk who told me the reservation was not refundable and I would be charged for the entire week, even though I was only there for 12 hours. I went to gather my things when the same person came uninvited into the room with another employee and asked for me to show them what was wrong with the room. After pointing out very basic things, like dirty bathroom counters, dirty floors, crumby couch cushions, I was told I was being nit-picky and unreasonable. He continued to berate me and said I would be paying for seven nights anyway. He said I was trying to avoid paying my bill, but I still had to find another hotel in the area and my employer had to pay for both. Reaching out to the manager, customer service, corporate, has still received no response and it's been five days now since I left. The pictures show how bad the rooms were, but having a man in the room yelling at me and telling me I was ridiculous as I packed my bags, the embarrassment of having my poor employer having to pay this bill and for an additional hotel, now not even a response to multiple calls and emails to the local manager and company, this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Steer clear, book one of the hotels across the street. The manager there said they get fleeing guests from this hotel on a regular basis.

Used q-tips

My newborn son and I woke up to ROACHES in our bed!!!! Took my shoes and socks off and in about 10 minutes my feet were black covered in filth. There were 2 used q-tips on the floor. Not to mention this is ALL DURING COVID! It's like they didn't even clean the room at all and only made the beds. I am absolutely DISGUSTED. I will not be coming back to this roach infested absolute dump of a hotel ever again.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here just to get out of the house. It was fine at first and we were enjoying our stay , we got take out and was Eating. I went to go take a bath and my bf pulled the cover back and almost threw up because there was a yellow stain all over the cover. He was disgusted and I was also.

Cigarette butts everywhere and walking through cloud of smoke to get in and out of hotel was not pleasant.

Parking is a bit scarce, not sure of you can park at hotel next door or not, but it is in front so seems logical. Also, every business hotel these days has a safe in the room. Every one but this place. I didn't expect to have to carry my laptop everywhere, and for these reasons I do not recommend staying here. WiFi also did not work well. I had a lot of trouble working while I was there and had to use my phone's personal hotspot. When I got to my next location, I didn't have any of that trouble. It is the most expensive Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at, and they jack up rates during a conference at the nearby Suburban Collection Showplace (the reason we were there). It's well located with plenty of good restaurants nearby and near the Expo center, but so are half a dozen other places. Normal room rate is about $120. They jack it up to $260 something during a conference, with the special conference block being $219. Taking advantage? Providing proper service for those rates? Nope.

I had an awful experience at this hotel, and I strongly advise against staying here. Initially, I was given a room where several things weren't working--the phone, TV, AC, and fridge were all non-functional. I complained, and as a gesture of goodwill, they moved me to another room. However, when I left the hotel and wrote an honest review about my stay, including criticism of the food and overall experience, they retaliated. They began harassing me with negative responses and an unprofessional attitude. To make matters worse, they charged my credit card an extra $212.22 falsely claiming I occupied two rooms on the first night--when in reality, the first room was unlivable, and I was moved to the second room. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. If you choose to stay here, be warned: they seem to retaliate against negative reviews by charging additional fees or harassing customers. Save yourself the trouble, time, and money--find a better place to stay.

Did not try the pool, but I was there for a comic convention and I didn't really have a lot of time to go swimming. The staff was really nice and genuine and it was close to the convention center. Very close to the mall so I found myself later in the evening going there and then going to Ford's garage to get something to eat which is right next-door. It was a really decent place and I've stayed in a lot of hotels that looks decent, but then the rooms were very terrible. They were also extremely accommodating when I explained that I get over sensory issues and that I did not want to be near an elevator. They found anyway they could to keep me away from that. Even though they had to juggle some things around.

I'm happy to start this review by saying -- finally -- this location gets it right. The channel guide is straightforward, and the remote has numbered buttons for easy navigation. A small detail, but much appreciated. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortably sized, with thoughtful amenities like a mini fridge and microwave. I especially appreciated the extra charging box on the nightstand, which offered multiple outlet options -- a small touch that made a big difference. Two downsides: my room had a window with a failed seal, which obscured the view. Hopefully, that's a one-off issue. Also, the pillows appear to be fluffy, however when you lay on them they flatten like paper. The hotel features a small but adequate gym for its size and an indoor pool, which is a nice bonus. The location is excellent -- close to plenty of dining and shopping options, but tucked away enough to stay quiet and peaceful. Easy access to the highway makes it a convenient stop for travelers. Overall, a solid stay that hits the right notes in comfort and convenience.

The big complain that I have is the television. It is a good size, go resolution however there is no channel guide. This means I must spend a lot of extra time scrolling the large amount of channels to try to get an idea what's on. This is very annoying.

It's not the rite temp and the jets were not jetting. They also need an adult time in for the pool. I mean it's OK for everyone to be in the pool at certain times I would just like to enjoy the pool without hearing all the screaming and getting splashed with kids jumping in the pool . A lot of of Hiltons that I stay implement a timeframe for adults only .This hotel also have a 10 o'clock noise policy meaning that the hotel would like everyone to be quiet at 10 o'clock normally that will be OK if we didn't have children we bring our kids to the hotels to enjoy themselves but also we respect to others so it wasn't a big deal but if you have intentions on having Small ones in the room , you may want to rethink this hotel.
