Don't. Stay. Here. Nightmare hotel This hotel was booked and a jacuzzi room was paid for. We got to the hotel and were immediately hit with the smell of mildew in the lobby. We moved past it because we had stayed here prior and knew about the prior renovations due to the lighting strike. We got to our room and noticed the tub was broken but the hotel was fully booked. So we just accepted our loss and told hotel staff. Then we were awoken to water coming through the ceiling at 3 am and continued to leak all night long. Come this morning, we told hotel staff of all the issues and requested a credit or some sort of relief for this sleepless night. We were met with offering 1000 pts which won't even get a room. No refund. No caring. No anything. Please don't stay here if you want a good weekend. read more

When we arrived to the Inn, we knew we were a little early we were just checking to see if we could get checked in. The guy at the desk was leaning back in his chair and said "Room we be ready at 3:00" before we could say anything. We finally got into our room and we checked for bed bugs and that is when my husband noticed a lot of hair on the "clean sheets". We called the front desk and let them know and the house keeper came in and changed them. We booked a King but got 2 queens. Then when were we unpacking we noticed that the floor was damp. We didn't say anything, we just assumed it was from the humidity from the ac and outside. The hot water in the bathroom had a funky smell like black jeans (sulfur smell). Do not stay here. Read the reviews...they are 100% accurate. The hotel should be condemned...from the broken elevator to the a/c set on 34 degrees with no way to change it. Someone attempted to enter our room at 2am (yup...but the safety lock prevented the door from opening all the way). The refrigerator was leaking water all over and they told us they "fixed it" only to come back to more water on the ground. Hell hole! read more

Where do I start? First they gave us an ADA room. Ok as long as no ADA needs it. The toilet is loose and every time you sit down you have to balance yourself. The shower barely distributes water and they should be ashamed to provide this for any person let alone someone ADA. Ventilation in bathroom does not work. Second, the microwave doesn't work. Couldn't even pop a bag of popcorn. Closet door was off track and we could not get it back on because piece is missing. They have a Keurig but it doesn't warm the water. Coffee came out cold. The thermostat does not work. Could not adjust the temperature and it was freezing in this room. Went to ask for extra towels and was told by the cleaning staff that they did not have any extra and only gave us what they had clean. I've never heard of a hotel running out of clean towels. No ice or vending machines at the posted signs. Had to go all the was to the first floor for ice. Very inconvenient late at night. One of the beds in the double bed room was broken. Squeaks and feels weird when getting in and out. As you can see it also has items from previous stays under the bed including an old baby bottle. Pillows are paper thin. During my recent stay at the hotel, I found the staff to be welcoming and polite; however, I was disappointed with the overall condition of the room and breakfast area. Upon entering my room, I noticed it was not as clean as I expected, and to my dismay, the TV was not functioning. I promptly informed the front desk about these issues, and they sent a maintenance person to address the TV problem. Unfortunately, the maintenance staff member was unable to resolve the issue, resulting in no TV service for the entire night The breakfast was cereal, coffee, frozen eggs, sausage, fatty, undercooked bacon, and waffles that tasted like cardboard, and the juice machine was broken. Once I sat to eat, I noticed a roach in the dining room at the table, and they had boxes piled up in the corner of the dining room. The following day, I encountered a more serious problem when the bathroom in my room unexpectedly flooded, causing water to pour from the ceiling. As a result, I had to be relocated to another room. When I asked the front desk staff if the new room was thoroughly cleaned, I was assured that it had been, but upon inspection, I found lingering stains on the carpet, curtain, and unclean desktop surfaces. Furthermore, I couldn't help but notice that the entire hotel premises needed extensive cleaning and renovation. The elevators were noticeably squeaky and in dire need of maintenance. Disabled asked for a handicapped room online. Got to the hotel. The handicap rooms are upstairs, however, the elevator has been broken for months so they they finally found us a room down on the main floor non-handicap. The beds was literally 4 ft off the ground. I just spent race weekend staying here, the hot tub doesn't heat up. Also watch out they will try to double charge you and not want to return it. There grass and outside needs a lot of attention. Looks very depressing. This place is not worth the money. they responsed that they were going to investigate, which they have not. You can not get anyone to answer the phone there. We stayed in room 322 that weekend and my mother-in-law was double charged, we found out this right before arriving. Which is funny cause she wasn't supposed to be charged til arrival. When we told the girls at the front counter,they treated us like we were stupid and we didn't know what we were talking about. Needless to say they gave us the run around all weekend saying the manager would call us, which of course we are still waiting. Every time we used our key card to get in our room the door wouldn't open and we had to go to front desk to get a reprogrammed key - 12 times. We booked this hotel because of pool and complimentary breakfast: pool was out of order and all there was for breakfast was 2 pieces of undercooked bacon and hard unappealing eggs from frozen. Could not sleep due to very loud squeaking coming from heater/ac unit. We were courteous but staff was unfriendly and very uncaring, and put out they had to keep remaking out key cards. Worst hotel experience I have had in all my years of traveling. Was given a room 109 on first floor, tv controls were unplugged and wires hanging over the TV. Went to the front desk and asked for someone to come repair the issue. I was offered another room 212. The room was filthy, not maintained and in bad repair. (See pics below) mold in the bathtub, only one light working in the bathroom, over mirror light out, vent inoperable, tile in the entry way and bath had issues and was not repaired properly. 21 inch TV with outdated cable box draped of from of TV. Tables were not wiped clean. Booked 4 nights. Due to late check in, a holiday and nothing else available in the area, I stayed one night and checked out. This hotel is DISGUSTING, no one could pay me to stay here. The employees are no where to be found after 5pm and the phones to call them do not work. You can hear everything in the other rooms through the air vents. Dogs will be barking all night long. Everything including the walls had stains and had not been cleaned properly. The people who work here are incredible nice, however it doesn't make up for the lack of matinance. Their is so much wrong with this place I will only quickly list the worst. Huge black cricket everywhere! I stepped on one in the middle of the night in our room. Big roach chased me off of the hide-away bed/couch. Dirty lamp shades Stained carpets Dirty fridge Dirty tables Scuffed and broken furniture The beds are ridiculous high. I'm 5'5" and the top of the bed is ubove my waistline. My sister-in-law is staying in another room 2 doors down, she had to go to Walmart and buy cleaning supplies to clean her tub/shower due to extensive mold. I asked again today to have my room cleaned and I got 1 washcloth with the 2 bath towels, beds weren't made, floors not vacuumed and no toilet paper or kleenex. Breakfast is gone by 9am. RUN!!! This place looks nothing like the photos. Super NASTY!!! Entering to check in and the place looks dirty. The host walks us to our room and punches the code on a machine which was strange. She opens the door and the room is a wreck and has not been cleaned at all. She then gives us keys to a room upstairs and the keys were not working very well. We finally get the cards to work and enter the room which has old nasty carpet and Indian style bedding. Looks absolutely nothing like the photos. We reserved a King bed and she placed in a room with 2 smaller beds. The AC did not work as we tried to turn it on immediately and then when walking into the bathroom, a roach was walking on the tub. This place is a dump and poorly ran. We left and checked out immediately and they would not refund our money even though we did not stay. Host stated she did not know how to process a refund and we needed to call Mohammad the next day at 10:00. Called 4 times and we were told he was not there. Emailed on hotels.com and no response. Emailed an email address the host gave me and received a generic email stating we will get back to me response and nothing. Emailed several times and was told to be patient and they had many to respond to and still no response. Other people were leaving when we did and had waited 2 hours and no AC. Horribly ran and managed. Better places across the interstate or drive to Denton. We drove home and it was worth the drive to not stay in that nasty hotel. read more

DO NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. The only good thing about this place is its location (as we drove and played at Winstar Casino). We had been to Comfort Suites last year, and it was very good, but HUGE mistake going this year - it was terrible, would not recommend at all. We were in room 422 last night. Check in was after 3:00 pm, we checked in around 3:30 pm, when we tried to get into the room, it had the safely lock on it from inside, and there were 2 members of staff in there (a young man & a young woman) they were not the staff that clean the room, as there was not a cart anywhere that had cleaning supplies or towels, they quickly did something, we couldn't see, as they did not let us in the room, but they were laughing as they left and told us to have a good evening and to enjoy our stay (that in its self should have been a red flag). We unpacked, not checking the room (I know, I know, we should have) and left for the Casino. Upon returning that night, we found out that the two lights between the beds did not work, the toilet base was wobbly every time you sat on it, no washcloths in bathroom, the shower had extremely low pressure that water just trickled down, then there was a beeping sound from the air conditioning that that went on and off all night, the windows were filthy, and the table between the bed had sticky stuff all along one side. We should have asked for a different room, but it was late and no one was at the front desk. The next morning came the supposedly hot breakfast which was to begin at 6:30 am which it did not. The doors were closed so everyone was lining up and waiting. At 6:50 am they finally starting bringing out some sausages and eggs and opened the doors....meanwhile some guests that were in line at 6:30 am gave up waiting after 10 mins and left the hotel. (we could see them get in their cars and actually leave). Anyway, being hungry I grabbed a plate and got some sausages, eggs and toast- ugh everything was cold, except the bread which I had toasted. It appeared they were made early for the 6:30 am opening but sat around at the back of the kitchen for 15 mins before being brought out to be served to the guests - the supposedly minute maid orange juice came out so watery that it didn't even taste like any type of orange juice.....what a way to start a morning. We decided after all of this, to go to our room, pack, leave and go somewhere for breakfast (even though we could check out at 11:00 am). Upon arrival, huge water leak at the front entrance. Reserved double queen room. Front desk staff was extremely rude and appeared frustrated. Signage reported elevator maintenance. We requested a first floor room due to her being 28 weeks pregnant & uncertain of elevator maintenance status or start time. Wanted to upcharge us for their inconvenience. Being extremely frustrated and tired, we took the initial room assignment. Upon arrival to room 312, door was noticed ajar. Suspicions arose! I peeked inside and all clear. Also difficult to open as I had to return to our vehicle to get some personal items. Also alarm clock had been discovered to be destroyed. Showers the next AM only to discover there were only hand towels in the bathroom. No regular bath towels to be found. Notified front desk staff of issues and concerns. Said they would notify maintenance and housekeeping. Little good that does us. Room was not worth the price paid. Our advice, check your room first before accepting it. My husband called in advance to make sure hot tub was working. We arrived and girl at front desk was kind of snotty to us. She had an attitude towards us for some reason. Maybe because we were using points, not sure. Went upstairs to change. When we got to the hot tub it was ice cold! We went back to front desk to check out and get our points back. The man at desk was nice about it, But the next day the points were not put back. My husband had to call corporate to get points back. The hotel failed to put them back on our account. Recently stayed at this hotel to find it in very bad condition. I've visited this location for over 10 years now and this is the worse that I have ever seen it. Hotel now have new owner. The maintenance of the building and rooms have is not being maintained. The Ice machine on each floor is out of order except for the one on the first floor which is on its way out. Repairs are needed in the rooms. Juice machine in dinning area have been out of order for a while ( has a sign on it that states the machine is on vacation). Lady running the kitchen & running the front desk has her 4 kids at work with her,running around throughout the dinning area picking over the food and enjoying themselves. Also she was placing half cooked bacon out on the breakfast line for the customers to eat. Will never come here again. Rooms are mediocre the ice machines and vending machines on our floor were gone the workers weren't very nice and were not dressed professionally. We went through another site like booking or something similar when we booked this hoping for a nice room and we didn't get a fridge, the temperature only went down to 69 and the room overall wasn't very nice. Second room we had was like completely different, nice room an easy door to actually open and the temperature actually worked. There also was a door for the closet. Yet a stain on the bed sheets in the new room they covered it with something lol. And we didn't even get a paper roll holder in the bathrooms. Though there was a weird stain on the floor as well. I honestly don't know where to start. So we were in town to go to Winstar Labor day weekend and because Winstar was booked we came here. The reservations were made and when we checked in Jose was super nice and accommodating. From there everything kind of went downhill. We made it to our room and checked everything out. The dresser had some scratches and the table between the beds had some trash in it but otherwise the room was clean. It was after about 30min that we decided to go to the store to get something so we could stream movies from since they're box wasn't calibrated and wouldn't even connect. We came back and the room was much warmer than before. I noticed the thermostat temperature kept rising even though we would set it lower. We gave it some time and ended up calling the front desk about the problem. Along with that the fridge was disconnected or broken. While we waited for them to send someone up to the 3rd floor we tried connecting the Roku that we just purchased to the wifi and it would not connect so I had to use my mobile hotspot to connect and set it up. Once it was finally connected we noticed that someone had messed with all of the T.V.'s settings so the coloring was all off, black and white and the contrast was even messed with. It took a good 20min to re-calibrate the T.V.'s settings. By then the maintenance guy comes in and fiddles with the thermostat, he proceeds to tell us that if he can't fix the problem that we might have to change rooms, he then walked out of the room without another word and doesn't close the door fully so we assumed he was coming back. An hour later we decide to call the front desk again because the maintenance guy never came back only to hear that the front desk assumed we knew that we were supposed to come down for a new room...ok... We pack up and go back to the lobby where they give us a room a couple of doors down from our previous room. When we go back up and attempt to open the door it wouldn't open. After multiple attempts, lifting the handle up, pulling it down, pushing with more force, we ended up going back down to the lobby because we couldn't even get into the room. It was then they gave us a room on the fourth floor. When the elevator doors opened onto the fourth flour all I could smell was what I would relate to livestock. It was like walking around the Fort Worth Stockyards but on the fourth floor of this Comfort Suites. Optimistically I thought it would only be the hallway but when we opened the room door the smell was in there too. After putting our stuff down I had to go down and ask for an air freshener or SOMETHING. They gave me a unmarked spray bottle to spray the room with and then return to the lobby. I sprayed the area around the elevator leading to our room and then most of our room. It was only then that I could breathe. Thankfully after all of that we had a room with functioning A/C, a smaller but better screen quality T.V. AND actual WIFI signal on the fourth floor. I don't know what to say other than come here at your own risk. It seems like the owners or managers don't care much about the upkeep. read more

Destiny, the "manager" refused to give me the room I booked and paid for. She was very rude and basically said i was lying when I explained i had booked and paid for a room with the whirlpool in it. The room she put me in was less expensive and I never received a refund. She literally stole from me and there's nothing i can do about it except avoid the Choice brands from now on. its clear that they will allow criminals to take advantage of paying customers without any consequence. You need customers more than customers need you I promise. We have choices. You need to get rid of her or retrain her on common courtesy and basic math. read more

Upon returning the first night of stay we could not get into our room. We had to go downstairs to get the key rekeyed. The guy at the front desk asked us if we were sure we were at the correct hotel, which was an insult to me. After proving we were at the correct hotel( giving him our name and key cards with the room number)he rekeyed our cards. We returned upstairs opened the room door and was shocked when a gentleman appeared standing in the room!!!We went back downstairs and were given another room. The following day I spoke with the manager who stated she'd give us a discount for the first night for the inconvenience. That did not happen. I stayed here for 2 days in August, 2023. The pictures on line made it seem attractive for the price. Pool, Jacuzzi, breakfast in the morning. The Comfort Inn in Gainesville Tx. Is in need of renovations. The room has old, not very clean carpet. It was not supplied very well. Looked like all that was done was make the bed before our arrival. 2 towels, an almost exhausted roll of toilet paper with no spare. Bathroom was not very clean. As for the pool and Jacuzzi, it is indoor and well clorinated. The pump for the Jacuzzi made a very loud, annoying squeel as it ran. I thought it was the fire alarm. I informed the front desk and they investigated and said that was normal for the Jacuzzi. The swimming pool handrail at the steps was connected at the surface but discounted in the pool, so it was very shaky getting in. At this time of year, there is a large amount of black crickets and locusts. Not the hotels fault but leaving the crickets floating in the pool means it isn't maintained. I pulled 20 from the Jacuzzi. I do want to compliment the staff. They were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was good and properly maintained. read more

I'll tell you what, I wish I'd have read all the reviews before booking a room for 2 nights online. We've always enjoyed Comfort Inn & Suites but this one was operated by a separate company (don't know if that's common or not). The lobby was being painted (I give them credit for that) on a busy Friday afternoon and I had to dodge the pole wielding painters as I checked in. Couldn't that be accomplished in the off hours? Anyway our room: Pros- comfortable bed, a/c worked fine and the fridge was the best working of all hotel fridges I've used. Cons- there was a big hole in the closet wall, the TV was an abomination to control (needed the desk staff to get it going), wall paint was splattered over the door frames and the side of the "kitchen" area, door frames were scratched to pieces, there was a big screw sticking out of the shower rod and dirt on the bathroom door. Oh, can't forget the pile of dead insects in every overhead light. It was obvious the room just gets a lick and a promise from the housekeeping staff. I left my Kindle under my pillow and didn't realize it until I got home. It was an old one that was given to me so I didn't really care but I called about it anyway and was told no Kindle had been turned in. I said one of the maids probably took it and the desk clerk said he'd ask them. Yeah, sure you will, bud. I regret I cussed him out but I did. The room was spacious and the beds were clean but the lampshades and curtains were stained with what looked like blood. The Tv didn't work. I called the fronT desk. I get there later in the night and the 2 lady's acted like they were oblivious to everything going on. The wife and I stayed there last Saturday because we drove in for the Amy Schumer show at the Winstar. The FD person was super nice and she even gave us a shuttle number to get us back and forth. Check in did take a tad longer than normal, but I am pretty sure that it was because it was sold out that night. The room was what I expected. Clean, huge flat screen TV, sink with mini fridge, and a little sitting area with a couch by the window. The hotel was right off the highway so it was super easy to get around. The elevators are super slow, but that would be the only negative I would have. The breakfast the next morning, had regular stuff and then waffle maker, sausage and eggs. If we come back for Jim Gaffigan in September then we will probably stay here again if it is available. read more
