Son had bumps on forehead and arm from the bed not sure if it was bed bugs.

From the reviews I thought this was a okay hotel to stay in. WRONG!!!! As soon as we got into our room, I went to the bathroom to find out the toilet didn't flush. I Reported it to the front desk, She offered another room right next door to the first one we had just to find out the lights or the tv doesn't work in that room. We ended up Switching back to the first room we had. A couple hours later we seen a roach crawling from the back of the tv (Pictures are available). Also, my son woke up the next day with bumps all over him. I'm not sure if they had bed bugs, but I won't ever be returning. Please don't be fooled by the reviews!!!

    The sun basically.

Comfort suites in Florence, SC has a lot of things to improve- but even if they did, I will never stay there again. I picked the hotel for the pool, and hot breakfast. Upon check-in, it took about 25 min to get my keys. The computer was messing up and the staff was kind, but obviously frustrated. Once I got up to the room with my 9 month old and set him on the floor, he crawled around, like babies do. His feet and knees were black within a matter of minutes and he attempted to eat some chip crumbs that were on the floor. We don't eat chips... and had JUST entered the room. I don't expect the carpet to be shampooed between each guest stay, but a vacuum I do expect. Especially at $211 a night. My 6 year old was excited to use the pool, so went down to do so and my key wouldn't work. When I asked if it was closed the staff member didn't know. She mentioned she would call my room to let me know once she found out. That felt like something she should have been aware of right then. 30 min later, I called down and she still didn't have an answer. Eventually, she called to let me know it was closed bc the chemicals weren't right. Alright. Cool cool. Fast forward to bed time and I closed the curtains to make it dark for the baby... but it didn't work. I thought thats odd it's still so bright. I looked out the window and there were basically two spot lights shining through our window from the parking lot behind the hotel. Even with the curtains all closed, the room appeared daylight all night. At midnight I was awoken by the intense smell of marijuana in our room. I'm sure the hotel has a no smoking policy as this is clearly a fire hazard- but it wasn't stopping whoever was beside, under or above us. The next morning at 5:50a we are up bc hell it was "daylight" in our room so why not. Went down to breakfast at 6:30 and dun dun dunnnnn.... no hot breakfast. Due to Covid restrictions, it was a mediocre continental breakfast which was not advertised when I made the reservation. Lots of disgruntled guests were upset about the waffle maker not being available to which the staff said they couldn't have everyone touching the waffle maker. However, everyone was touching the coffee machine, juice machine, mini fridge , microwave, toaster, etc. I'm not sure covid germs are that picky to only live on the waffle maker, but I've been wrong before. Probably not this time, though. We were attempting to high tail it out of there at this point, so I went to find a luggage cart. There weren't any. Not shocking. Rode the elevator back up with a sanitary napkin wrapper stuck to the floor. By this point, it felt like it was supposed to be there because this hotel was just that bad. It's unfortunate bc it's a seemingly newer property, but, it felt really flat. I paid less money to stay in an entire apartment via Airbnb on the trip down. Opted for the hotel for the pool this time, but I won't make that mistake again. I'm sure they will offer me some points or something equally as disappointing as their hotel after reading this review. No thanks.

Great stay. Tried to make it to Columbia but due to bad traffic, I ended up here for a brief overnight stay. Checking in was a breeze and the room was very nice. I was given a room with two separate queen beds with a sofa. The bathroom was stocked with nice amenities (soap, shampoo, lotion, etc). The room itself featured a microwave, mini fridge and a more modern flat screen TV with decent channels. I pulled the sheets back as I always do at any hotel/motel I stay in. The sheets appeared clean and the room overall was clean with no lingering "strange" odors. Unfortunately I didn't make it down for their breakfast, which is from 6 or 6:30 AM To 9:30 AM. Nearby there are plenty of food options and gas stations, so this is a pretty good place to stay if you are transiting to another destination. Overall, I am left very satisfied with my stay and will consider the comfort suite brand in the future thanks to my experience here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a room for around 90 with military discount. The rooms are beautiful and supper clean. There's a pool and a gym. It's not your typical treadmill kind a gym that you usually would find at a hotel. It has a nice variety of equipment. If I had to say anything negative at all about this place it would just be that the tv is a little small for my liking. Would stay again and definitely recommend this place.

    Sitting and breakfast area combo.

Inside the lobby area is a small snack area for purchasing items and free coffee + tea area with sugar station and hot water. The check in process was extremely fast and friendly. The elevator is very much a ride at Universal Studios with a rocky screech landing. But safe overall is kinda funny tho but not. The hallways were clean and well kept. The room was very spacious and I liked that they had a shelf to put your key cards and luggage. They had spacious desks, lots of lighting throughout and a dual shade option to blackout the room for sleep. The coffee/tea bar has a Keurig maker, but leaked mini water bottles to make the coffee. The beds were comfy and the shower was good. The bathroom lighting is quite harsh but there is a motion censored nightlight. By the TV is a cool curved touch light with European outlets. There are plenty of outlets with both standard and USB outlets. The only tiny thing i would add is a charging pad on the counters in case ppl forget their chargers. TIP: Turn the knob all the way to the left to get to the hot water. Now let's talk breakfast - skip it if you like cool lackluster potatoes and eggs. The only saving grace is the coffee, instant oatmeal, oikos yogurt, and dry cereals. There are also a few places to eat up the road if bfast is important. TIP: If you go behind the breakfast area in the main lobby area, you can sit in a less crowded area near the business center. Check out was just as fast and easy. I've would definitely go here again!

Hampton Inn Florence Room 428 | Monday, February 16…read more I'll let the other reviews handle the standard checklist items. I'm here to talk about the subjective stuff -- the comfort factors that can make or break a night on the road. The king bed? MASSIVE. Basically a campground for two adults. Plenty of space, very comfortable. Now the nuanced bits. The room had more ambient light than I prefer -- tough to get it fully dark. The pillows were small and slightly lumpy, and the sheets felt thin. Shower water pressure was mid, and the hot water didn't quite reach my personal "steam therapy" setting. Towels were a 6-7 out of 10: softer than DoubleTree, but not as oversized. I do travel prepared, though. I've got an Amazon sleep mask that is straight-up lights-out defense. Once I put that on? Out cold. And just when I thought the sleep mask had secured the victory, two trains decided to blast their horns at 1:40 a.m. and 4:41 a.m. ‍ Bottom line: solid for a one-night stop. But if you're sensitive to light, pillows, or shower pressure like I am, those details matter.

Second, for breakfast, they should offer either bacon or traditional breakfast sausage. The last two times we were here, they served some kind of unusual sausage. I have no idea what it was, it definitely didn't look like breakfast sausage and looked more like sliced hot dogs. I used to think all dog lovers were kind and considerate, but some people still forget to pick up after their dogs. I just wish anyone who has a dog would be more mindful of that responsibility.
