We were here for Helicopters for Hero's, look it up, 14th year, reserved 30 rooms, and there were 12 of us hanging out in the Lobby, celebrating one of our volunteers 50th bdays, very simple, not loud, and the guy at the front desk, called the Cops on us, because he said no one was allowed in the lobby after midnight, are you fing kidding me?? 4 Officers showed up, we explained why we were in the LOBBY, and why we were in Ennis, Tx, and were told we had to go to our rooms. WE will NEVER stay here again!!! The Cops even took a pic with our bday girl. We were hanging out with the bday girl, and Veterans, not causing any disturbance, just toasting out friends 50th bday and Vets, and had to go to one of our rooms. Are you kidding me??? The Cops were very nice and were familiar with H4H, and nothing they could do, because the guy up front called them. F off Comfort Suites, NEVER will I stay in another Comfart Suite EVER again. read more

Worst pillows I have ever slept on in my life. I think they got confused and ordered couch pillows and not bed pillows. Honestly it's terrible my neck hurt every morning. Also the door to my hotel room look like The police have kicked it in. You could have pulled the deadbolt off with two fingers. Carpets were sticky room wasn't that clean. The manager was also extremely rude to me over the phone. read more

Book a different hotel! The guy checking us in could not explain the charges on the bill, then started making things up. The first room had a terrible bed. The toilet ran all night long. They moved us into another room the second day. The bed was still terrible, but slightly better than the first. The security U bolt on our door was missing a screw and was lined up incorrectly making the door stick. The only washing machine in the facility did not work, but they still sold us laundry detergent. They would not refund the money for the detergent. The breakfast was the same the entire week we stayed. It consisted of watery eggs, dried out tortillas and sausage links for the hot portion of breakfast. The juice machine only had two out of four running, and the coffee was terrible. The pool had missing tile and the water was very murky and cloudy. They closed the pool the day after we used it, with no explanation. The old lady working the front desk had no customer service skills. During a power outage she sat in the lobby and stared at an elderly couple trying to get into the hotel lobby as the front doors did not open due to the power being out. We manually opened the doors to get into the facility and then the worker finally stood up and talked to everyone, rudely. The hotel was storing some sort of material in the parking lot, in the prime front spots next to the hotel. Overall, the hotel looks tired and it seems like no money is being put into it for upkeep. read more

So. Here's the deal. It's a comfort suites. I usually don't entertain this brand ever but this was the only hotel with a big enough room for us and sufficient parking. First off. Getting to it is not as easy as getting off freeway but it isn't a deal breaker. The hotel is clean and the room we had was huge. The bathroom was clean but the tile looked awful. The A/C wasn't adequate and didn't keep the room ice cold like I want. It kept going off and would not allow you to keep the fan blowing. The wifi was free and fast. The beds were ok. Nothing to complain or praise. The breakfast was typical but did offer something besides bread. Check in was simple but I just love a place that requires a deposit for those who pay with cash, plus they check the room to make sure you didn't steal anything. Don't get me started on this! I can't think of one damn thing I would want from a hotel, and those who might steal aren't going to pay $100 for towels or bedding. Oh well. Next time I'll pay the same and go to the holiday inn. read more

Birthday weekend! WHOOP! ~~ Came out with my mommy for the third year in a row to attend the Scarborough Renaissance Festival. Check in happening quickly and we loaded all of our bags to take inside. Bathroom is the first thing on your list after a four hour drive, but our toilet leaked and water was all over the floor! Mother went and got back in line at the check-in desk only to overhear the three parties in front of her ALSO complaining about their rooms! One was dirty, one had no shower curtain, and the another patron claimed her room smelt terribly of cigarette smoke. It was very unimpressive to hear of so many dirty rooms as we checked in so late in the evening, and the switching of the rooms was not handled with a smile. Our second night, on the third floor, there was a high school basket ball team that partied-hardy. Getting back from the renaissance festival around 7:30 we discovered the remains of a wet toilet paper fight all down our hall way. The staff finally showed up to start cleaning at ten p.m. to vacuum. Too late at night for vacuums, my good sirs. Nice sized rooms, comfy beds, clean bathroom, but I will try another hotel in the area due to lack-luster customer service. read more

First time at a Comfort Suites for me. My husband and I were amazed at the spaciousness of the room. Not only a sitting area with a couch but a sitting chair as well as desk and fridge. The decor was modern and fresh. Carpet seemed new and well kept. The only visible signs that might date the room - tub peeling in places and a small spot on ceiling that was poorly repaired. Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was modest but free. If I were back in town, I would stay here again. Thanks Comfort Suites. Very fair rates. Good accommodations. read more

Pros: -Quite affordable. -Close to many dining options and downtown Ennis. -Easy to access. Cons: -Not the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. The cleaning of my room seemed to be a bit sloppy as stray hairs on the comforter and dried coffee rings on the desk were present. -Very noisy. The proximity to IH-45, the constant traffic, and orientation of the hotel towards the freeway can make for some (or many) sleepless nights. This hotel is probably more deserving of a three star rating, but it's just so darn noisy that it was hard for me to get any sleep--even with earplugs and the fan on the whole night. Blame it on poor planning, but if you are planning to stay here yourself, make sure your room is as far from the freeway as possible. read more

Check in clerk leaved alot to be desired. not rude or anything, but no personality or pleasantries at all. seemed very unhappy and only mumbled when spoken too. Room was nice and clean and big and comfortable. Decorated fairly nice and modern. Had a frig and microwave. Only thing I didn't like is the shower curtain was very dirty on the inside. Rest of room was fine. Hall and side entrance was very dirty with leaves and mud. Breakfast was just ok. Only white bread. Who has ONLY white read these days? Egg was cold. And outside needed a mowing. Grass was knee high. All things considered, the bed was comfortable, the room was pretty clean and it was spacious. I'd probably stay here agin although I might try somewhere else the next time just to see what else was out there read more

Rarely do I give 5 stars but this was the best hotel experience we're had on a while, especially given the price. The check in was fast, they associate was polite and efficient. Our room was immaculate and had a quaint little sitting area. The bed had plentiful, full pillows and a soft comforter. The TV remote worked. The AC got cranking fast. Breakfast was delicious, hot, fresh. Breakfast tables were clean and trash was cleared promptly. I'm making the comfort suites my go to hotel. read more

My husband and his co-workers stayed here often, he and his co-workers trucks were broken into and had things stolen during the night. The front desk attendant did not even call police for them the next morning when the break-ins were discovered. Also, the video cameras were conveniently "not working properly" during the time frame when the break-ins occurred. The hotel staff was not helpful or sympathetic at all with the situation. read more

I gave this place one star because I bought some tea to drink on checking out . The person didn't give me a receipt . Next day I saw that I was charged twice for the purchase . Called and was told that the manager would call back the next day. I know it wasn't much but it's the point of the matter how do they balance the books and/or is that person embezzling ? A lot of small increments could add up. I hate writing this review but it's not right when they don't try to correct the issue no matter how small it is. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay In Waxahachie instead of this location! The staff is rude, and inept. I have stayed here on several occasions, and each time I have been overcharged and it took months to get it straightened out. During the drag races they raise their rates from $89.00 per night to over $300.00! I will NEVER stay at this location again-even if it means driving an extra 50 miles!!!!! read more
