we've used this hotel to house one of our employees for a couple of nights in town. Whoever was at the front desk at 11 am today knocked on his door this morning and made him leave his room to check out. Even though we paid for 2 nights. Which is outrageous. We paid for 2 nights you don't ask them to leave and to take their stuff. Definitely reporting this hotel to the BBB. read more

not even worthy of a ratting star. we checked in Friday evening on Feb. 7th 2025 the room was not whst was reserved with a king bed. apparently there was a stopped up toilet . we where given rm 107 instead with two queen beds. ok that was not really a big deal. BUT 107 didn't have any lamps. only the main light at the door and bathroom and far end of the room. when trying to wash hands in the bathroom, the faucet handle came off in my hand! when i put it back on, I went to turn it on, nothin, no water. we had to use the bath tub for any water. On leaving the next morning, we told the guy at front desk. He said, I'm sorry, we will try to have it fixed. when we returned that evening, we still had no use of the sink. The bed we used was very wobbly, scratchy! Really feel like or payment should be refunded at least partially. read more

A literal flea trap. The fleas were in my room and bed. Literally attacked me all night. I have never been so glad to leave a motel before. Not that it mattered but the remote was missing from the room. And the TV was on when I walked in...maybe because the remote was gone. Anyway, I got very little sleep and I doubt I will stay in any Motel 6 again. It was literally the worst motel experience I've ever had and that includes multiple military deployments. read more

I reserved a room via Travelocity for $60 for 1 night. The hotel charged me $95.60! Travelocity confirmed it was the discount approved by the hotel. The hotel clerk said they don't deal with Travelocity. Travelocity is investigating. I will never use any Motel6 again. And I will warn my friends and family. Word of mouth is the best advertising - DON'T USE THIS HOTEL. Buyer beware!! Sometimes you get less than what you pay for!!! read more

When I decided to stay at this location, I figured a mainstay like Motel 6 would deliver a solid, no-frills experience. They are well established. Just getting to the parking lot was a little frustrating, though. I had to turn off the main road and go down back-streets to circle back around to a main road. No biggie I guess. I walked into the reception area, and everything looked clean. I asked for a room, and they gave me #123. As soon as I opened the door to the room, I was hit by the powerful smell of wet dog. It was horrible, but I figured that I'd get used to it. Trying to get settled in, the room looked neglected. It had drywall repair that hasn't even been painted. I tried turning on the TV, but it wouldn't come on. Remote broken? TV unplugged? Nope -- it just didn't work. Another strike. Fine, I'll just hop on the wifi and watch some Netflix. After I called the front desk to get the password, I tried logging on. No dice. I called up the office again, and she said that the internet was not working. Why didn't you just tell me that in the first place!? By this point, my frustration is growing, and the dog smell is lingering. I call the front desk a third time and ask for a different room. She tells me that the only other room was a smoking room. I figure that would be a good trade-off. She wasn't kidding. This next room smelled like a heavily used chain-smoker's lounge. The weather was nice, so I kept the door open for about an hour. While I still didn't have use of wifi, at least I got to watch some TV. Poor overall experience. read more

The ONLY good thing about the visit was the front desk girl, Brittany! Booked a King size bed room online. When checking in, I was told there were no more king rooms available. I had booked the room 2 days before arriving, noting there was wifi, fridge, microwave & pool. We arrived at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. Not happy, but I could live with it since I sleep in a Queen bed at home (just thought it would be nice to stretch out). Got into the room, 1st item thru the door was a dining table with no chairs. Found 1 "rolling desk chair "near the bathroom sink, should have been in the dumpster- I placed a towel on it to sit. Started to put away my snacks I had just purchased in town & realized NO FRIDGE or MICROWAVE! Called front desk & asked about fridge & microwave. She replied CORPORATE had them removed!! She suggested a refund & name of a nearby motel that provided those items. Thought about it but was already settled in & had an appointment to get to. Proceeded to get ice, thank goodness they provided that to keep my food & beverages cold. Started to get ready to get to my appointment & found the toilet would not flush!!! Fortunately, I know that if you dump water in the bowl, it will eventually flush!! After my appointment and a few stops, went back to hotel -still in a dilemma as to how to heat up my dinner. Brittany at front desk advised there was a microwave that could be used that she uses. Went to office & heated up my dinner and brought back to my room. It's a shame that a young girl trying to make a living in a small town is faced with such problems to deal with caused by CORPORATE. I will be travelling thru Ennis at least 2-3 times a month and you can be sure I WON'T be staying at the Motel 6. FYI: Update your website to remove the amenities! By the way, the wifi did not work either! read more

Great place!!!! Rooms are not expensive, they are very clean, staff goes above and beyond for there guests, the only downside is that they dont have microwaves or fidges in the rooms. read more

I only gave this motel one star because that is the only way I could give a review. If this was the only place to stay in Ennis TX I would keep on driving I did not feel safe the door latch screws were stripped out. The whole room just sucked. Reserve a non smoking room gave me a smoking room. Smelled like urine by door when you walked in. The whole room was just a horrible disaster. I would be embarrassed if I owned this property. read more

This place is horrible! Night manager told us they have customers living there as a place of residence, therefore, their rooms are limited to customers. Beds were nasty and stained. Glad we took our own blanket and slept on top of the comforter. Our room had a phone in it but had no phone plug connected. WTH! Had to use personal cell phone to call customer service. This place should be SHUT DOWN! read more
