I will start by saying we made do for the 2 nights. We won't come back again. Upon entering it looks decent, there a Very strong perfume deodorizer in the lobby. The breakfast area is nice size, furniture throughout is aging. Carpets in halls and stairs need replacing. The room has had some updates with carpet and counters. Very musty smell. Large size sitting area double beds. 2 tvs, one in sitting area one in bedroom area. Coffee maker was odd. Shower was clean but curtain needs a good bleaching or replacing. Breakfast bar was average, my eggs were cold, no knives replaced after I got the last one yesterday. No fresh pastry items Saturday. I will say the lady in charge was working hard, and very calm in confronting a customer who made a very inappropriate remark towards a worker. Ice machine didn't work for the 3 days we were there along with nothing in the vending machine. No ice in the place. read more

We reserved our room over a month ago because we were driving to a football tournament and didn't want to push an 11-hour drive in one stretch. We checked in around 1 a.m., and the room was nothing like what we were told. It couldn't fit six people, and it was filthy. The couch had white and brown stains with trash stuffed in the cushions. The bed skirt had stains, the walls had splashes of who-knows-what, and the floor hadn't been swept or vacuumed. Even under the sink looked like it hadn't been touched in ages. The front desk staff member was kind and let us view another room, 320. It was just as bad plus stink bugs scattered around. There were also suspicious people hanging around the hallway, and at that point we knew we weren't staying. We left and drove two hours to Nashville in the middle of the night just to get a clean, safe hotel. Later, when I realized my key fob was missing, I was told someone would call after checking the room. No one ever did. I called over seven times with no answer. When I finally reached someone, he told me to call back the next day because "other customers come first," even after I explained I was literally driving through the town on my way home. This was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. This entire experience fell far below what guests should expect. Cleanliness, safety, and basic customer service were all lacking. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the cleanliness protocols, room inspections, and communication practices so future travelers don't experience the same issues. read more

YUCK...white bedspread was yellow/dirty/gross. One bed was up against nasty, old, noisy air conditioner (knob broken). Furniture was worn & ugly. Everything felt dirty, making it hard to sleep. Stayed about 6 hours and left. read more

The room service is non existent and the guy at the front desk is a dick. I stayed here for months due to work and every time we had an issue,he had an attitude. The WiFi not working or needing the new towels. The young lady there was sweet and considerate but the guy doesn't belong in customer service what so ever. Zero people skills. read more

The carpet was sticky, and the room smelled of mold. There were ants crawling all over the AC unit and throughout the room. One of the beds had dirt in it. After driving almost eight hours straight, my son developed a severe headache, so we had to stop for the night. I typically choose Choice Hotels because they are usually clean, but that was not the case here. One bed was unusable, and the bathroom was disgusting--we wouldn't even consider taking a shower. If my son hadn't been unwell, I would have left the hotel, but I couldn't risk worsening his condition. Additionally, the guy at the front desk wouldn't honor the discount from my organization, which has never happened to me before. I am very disappointed with this overnight stay. They absolutely do not care Response to review on the app; June 2025 Dear Guest, Thank you for writing the review. Carpets filthy and worn. Couch had baby spit up on it and I running down the front. Continental Breakfast horrible and 30 min late. Person putting out food, not friendly. Kids running and yelling down hall at 6:15 a.m. and loud, unsupervised kids in eatting area, messing up waffle machine they don't know how to use. Staff ignored this unsupervised behavior. We did not feel it was safe to keep traveling Christmas Eve night so we decided to get a room. We found a Comfort Inn in Paducah, Ky. (We are Choice diamond members) Wasn't for sure if there would be breakfast Christmas day at the hotel. We knew that most of the restaurants were closed. I went to get a luggage cart. Wow when I opened the door it smelled wonderful. The smell of blueberry waffles filled the hallways. GREAT THEY HAVE BREAKFAST ON CHRISTMAS DAY!!!! Jamie the breakfast host made a very special breakfast. She had a hot breakfast. Big bowls of oranges and apples. Homemade chex mix, candy, and haystacks in Christmas containers. She gave the ladies a cute Christmas spatula. Everything was clean and tidy. She went above and beyond. Made our Christmas breakfast on the road very special. Thank you Jamie. read more

Great place. Exceeded our expectations. Huge room for the price. We had a King. The room also had a sofa, love seat and coffee table as well. The bed was ultra comfy. Pool was fantastic. I wish I had brought my suit. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Definitely will stay here again. read more

PRICE GOUGING! I had a confirmed room with a copy confirmation email in hand and the desk would not honor the reservation. The room I booked was available and I could have it, but at a rate 4 times what I originally was quoted. As a Comfort INN choice hotels member, we're done. DON'T STAY HERE. read more

I was pretty happy with my family's stay at Comfort Inn. The king suite was nice and clean. The price was great. I can't wait to see what it's like after the remodel is complete!! Only complaint is that the room is listed with capacity for six people. It has a large king and a fold out full. The 1-800 lady tried to tell me that the king was oversized and could fit four.....uh, yeah, whatever. I took the room knowing this couldn't be true and that my youngest kids would sleep on cots on the floor. Sure enough, I was right, EXCEPT the lady at the counter saved the day by providing extra bedding so that the one kid who slept on couch cushions on the floor was very comfortable. We'll definitely stop here on future trips!! read more

I am giving the Comfort Inn in Paducah Kentucky on Cairo Road a five-star rating based on customer service the front desk clerk, Rafial was very kind genuine considerate and sweet. I asked him where to get some good Chinese food and he told me the best as far as he's concerned was New Asia so I went the food was awesome Priced Right and very well portioned too much actually. the room was comfortable and quiet the bed was nice and firm it's not luxury accommodations but it was great for the price and the need for sleep. I wish every hotel across America had or has a front desk Clark as knowledgeable and kind as Rafial.... very genuine young man. thank you for making my stay Pleasant. The Better Half's father stays here whenever he has business in the area. I honestly didn't see what the big deal was until the next morning for breakfast. The traditional "Continental breakfast" would just be your average Bagel and Coffee, but Comfort Inn takes that, whips it into shape and provides you with a MEGA Breakfast. Waffle Makers, Eggs, Biscuits and Gravy, Cereal, Bananas, Pastries, Donuts, Juice, Milk, Coffee.. If its breakfast, they probably have it in some form or fashion. I can see why this place would be a must for business travelers. On top of that, they throw in free Wifi! The rooms may not be much to look at, but they are a good size. Of course, you still can't escape the stupid "Bed Covered in Tiny Pillows" thing that Hotels are so fond of, but I would most certainly stay here again if I was in the area. read more

Pleasantly surprised I didn't have very high expectations but was pleased with our room Very big Two TV's and a living room Clean Just ok breakfast but typical for these chain hotels The only complaint I have is how hard the bed was which is kind of a big deal since that is why you stay in a hotel is somewhere comfortable to sleep and for that I have to reduce it to 3 stars We didn't use the pool or fitness area but I did look at them and they left a lot to be desired so if a nice pool is what you are looking for this is not the place for you read more

I have stayed with this establishment for 20 years...this experience was highly disappointing with absolutely zero resolve on checkout. No toilet paper. Filthy couch and desk chair. No hot water at the sink. 1 bed had dirty sheets. I cannot believe the man at the front desk asked if I had reported this earlier in my stay (you mean the 5 total hours I was at your hotel?) instead of doing the right thing by refunding my minimal charge for the staff. Word of mouth means everything in the business industry. Please look for my LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook posts about this hotel not taking care of me properly. I'm so disappointed that they failed a longtime customer today so they will likely fail you on your first or only stay. read more

Dirty and run-down. Not kept up. Rented two rooms. Had to change one room due to ants and dirty sheets. Both rooms smell of mold. A/C units are old and smelly. Furniture is badly worn. Hodge-podge repair work. Outside dive is dirty and full of litter. Hallway is dirty, stained, nicked and worn. Way over-priced for the condition. read more

My corporate office usually has us frequently stay here for work, but this stay has by far been the worst experience. In room phone doesn't work, room keys deactivated after 1st night with multi night stay, I received (possible) clean towels, but they may have even rolled up the ones I used already, because they are not nice and neat and even feel a little damp, and the bed was not touched at all, and did not receive shampoo conditioner replacements or new roll of tissue paper either. Called the front desk to ask for a roll of tissue paper and was told I could come get it, because he was supposedly checking in 3 new guest, which I had just walked past the desk 2 mins prior and he was not up front and neither was any new guest. The elevator and the 3rd floor reeked of marijuana and even smelled it in the lobby a few times. read more

Valerie was so professional and helpful. The rooms are really nice. 5 stars! Will stay again for sure.

It looks great when you walk in but it's disgusting me and my family were here for a day because we aren't from here and we rented a room and we came in and it looked good but on the bed was poop stains food stains and what looks to be blood so it shows they don't wash the sheets and I ended up going swimming and it was FREEZING I mean like my co-ck was freezing it was cold and the pool was so dirty there was algae growing in it pubes and hair and dirt and so much things I don't even know what it was but it was gross I don't recommend coming here at all but if you do and get a clean room you are lucky read more

This hotel was filthy. when we arrived a child was screaming in the lobby, and we were told it was the manager's child. This hotel looks better from the front and lobby. After that, It all goes downhill. Been on a road trip for 18 days and this is by far the WORST hotel we have stayed in throughout our trip across the country. It's old, they are going to update it, and they need to! Hotel staff is friendly But beds are tiny, sofa sleeper is terribly hard- the paint is chipping, the closet door is missing, the bathroom door touches the toilet when you open and close it and you can barely get through. The toilet seat is disgusting and even my three year old didn't want to use it. So gross- never ever recommend it. read more

The staff was very nice which is why I gave 2 stars. The hotel in general was very dirty. My son dropped his pacifier and when I went to get it I saw under the night stand. There was so much dirt and crumbs it was gross. The carpets smelled bad in rooms and out in the hall that smelled like cat pee. We didn't stay for the breakfast because we were worried it would be more of the same. Would not recommend staying here. read more

I usually have to stay in fleabag motels for work but I was immediately pleased with my experience at this Comfort Inn. The service was friendly and thorough, and made sure I was well taken care of. The room was clean and comfortable and I liked the spacious layout of the single king bed. The rest of the hotel was clean as well, and I didn't notice any strange odors or residues that some of the other unlucky reviewers complained about. The fitness center was clean and unlike most other hotels, their equipment was actually clean and in working order. I didn't bring swim trunks on this trip, but the pool looked big and well maintained. Breakfast was pretty standard continental hotel fare but it was actually hot and fresh, rather than the stale lukewarm breakfast I usually see at other places. All in all great stay. I slept like a rock and felt comfortable the whole time. I'll likely book with them again next time I'm working in Western Kentucky. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that some little details could be updated to more modernize this place but nothing major. Oh yeah, and the free wifi is pretty decent! read more

This was one of the fairer priced hotels in Paducah. There were other hotels with similar price but the quality was not nearly that of the Comfort Inn. We spent nearly a week here due to us finding a new house to live in. It was already a fair price but we found a Room Saver coupon at a rest area for $66 and made it worth the stop. The hotel staff were very helpful with most all of our needs, in addtion to being friendly. Not that big of a deal to most people, but indeed helpful. There were a couple issues that was not ideal. The room was fairly clean, but there were some places on the wall that had been repaired and primed but not painted the same color as the rest of the wall. Who knows, they couldve just repaired it the day we moved into the room, but a little tacky nontheless. The other item worth noting, was that the bathroom was oddly configured compared to 90% of all the other hotels i have stayed in. The door swung inwards instead of outwards limiting your space in the bathroom with the door open. With the door closed you have plenty of space to do whatever but its the littlest thing like a swung in door that affects your smallest of tasks. It wouldn't be a reason to not stay there. There were a few nice items of note. The indoor pool stays open later than most, 11pm, which was a nice feature. Especially if you have had a long day and just want to relax. Most rooms also feature a sofa, which may not seem as a big plus, but watching the 32" flat screen tv isn't always ideal on the bed, especially if you did as us and ordered pizza to watch Monday Night Football and we sat on the couch and the pizza on the table. And lastly the fridge/microwave. The fridge/freezer was an actual fridge, not like a dorm fridge that basically uses a fan. We left our water in there for 4 days untouched and it froze!!!! that's an awesome fridge. Overall very good value for the money. read more

Tile floor was covered in greasy-something, AC smelled like sweaty gym shoes. I woke at 4am with a massive headache from the odor. When I reported that I accidentally left a special razor and some accessories in the shower, they reportedly never found it-impossible! Will not stay here again! read more

This is a clean, functional hotel. The man in the evening and the woman when I checked out were both friendly. Breakfast was best in class for mid-range motels ... the best I've had the last dozen times in Comfort, Holiday Inn + Express. Overall, a great experience at a reasonable price read more

The staff was friendly. The rooms are clean. I heard very little hall noise. At other hotels by 9 a.m. we often hear from the halls the maids knocking loudly with their keys and announcing "room service". It was quiet and very refreshing. The breakfast was hot scrambled eggs and sausage, french toast and the normal cold items. It also had fresh made donuts. Overall, I'd say it was exactly what I needed read more

Very nice. Clean newer rooms. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a more discounted rate that what I'd anticipated. The breakfast was very good. The usual complimentary fare but near, clean, and fresh. There was an attendant who was super sweet. She spoke with everyone, helped elderly customers, and cleared behind everyone quickly. This inn also offered some locally made fresh donuts that were out of this world! I ate two myself! Definitely recommending this stop if ever needing a quick overnight near Paducah. read more

Since reviews of this hotel led us to booking a room for a night, I figured I should give my own personal opinion about the accommodations, staff and overall experience. The building was under "soft" renovation during our stay. None of the construction disturbed us, nor was it unsightly or inconvenient. The whole building is getting a surface makeover inside and out. They are updating an older hotel construction with modern decor and finishes. Retro-modern is the theme and it looks to be well planned and attractive. Of course there is some missing moulding here and there and the carpets in the hallways are outdated (but likely to be replaced soon). The room was very clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the suite layout was enjoyable. The indoor pool was enjoyed by our 9 year olds, but it is by no means a great asset to the property. We paid around $85 for the night and I gauge this price to be accurate for the quality of the stay... but not a penny more. I overheard a dispute over room costs at the reception desk and the patrons were right to protest a $150 room rate. This property does not warrant any price over $85. read more

*My reservation was for June 28, 2019, so this is a recent review* Horrible experience - where to start... When we arrived, we walked into the lobby, no one was there to help us. We waited about 5 minutes and a lady finally walked in from outside. She was on her cell phone, she walked behind the desk and continued to talk on the phone WHILE we were standing there. It was clearly a personal call because as she hung up about 3 minutes later, she said "love you". No hello, thanks for waiting, sorry about that, nothing. She just looked at us, and I said we were trying to check in. She didn't seem to care or really even look up from the computer screen. Very unprofessional. She gave us the keys and we went to get our bags. We were staying on the 2nd floor. Once we got upstairs, the smell was horrendous in the hallway. It smelled by body odor, raw onions, smoke, and so musty that it made me nauseous. Once we got into the room, the room did not smell, which was nice. The beds were hard and the sheets appeared to have been slept in (the way they look after sleeping in them as few times at home with the folds in the material). The shower/Bathroom was fine, however the door wouldn't shut all the way. The only decent thing about this place was the complementary breakfast. The food was pretty good, nice and hot, but I was down there shortly after the food was ready. The orange juice tasted off so I didn't drink the remainder of the cup I had. But the bad smells in the hallway lingered overnight and it was horrible walking from the room to the food area. We ate, went back to our room, grabbed our stuff and checked out. Horrible experience. read more

Great experience. The rooms were large and clean! Has a separate area to watch t.v away from the bed area so it doesn't bother those who have gone to bed. The breakfast was nice eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy! Of course also donuts, yogurts and stuff like that. Very friendly staff. Next time we go thru the area we plan on staying here again. read more

Ick!! I wish I would have taken pictures to show everyone. We stopped here and checked in. Got to our room and a big spider on the wall greeted us. The chemical smell was horrendous. Bathroom fixtures were all rusty and the room was dark dark even with all the lights on. We settled in but I was actually having a hard time breathing because of the smell. I thought I'd check the bed out before climbing into it. I pulled back the bottom sheet to find it didn't even have a mattress pad on and there was a big pee stain right where I was going to lay down. It was GROSS. I told my husband I didn't want to stay here. I took the key up to the front desk and the staff was very nice and gave us our money back. Seriously.....this was a bad place. Don't stay there. read more

This is our second time staying here. Our first stay in Oct 2018 was perfection. We had a moving truck - it was me and my best friend. The rooms are clean, and comfy. Fast forward to June 2019 we are here again with 2 under 2. The staff is friendly - they let us check in early - they had a crib in our room before we got here. Again the rooms are comfy and clean (and huge) - the pool is clean. Breakfast is amazing. This will forever be our favorite "half way" spot read more
