This hotel was a pleasant stop after a long day of traveling. Check in was easy. The hotel lobby…read moreand hallways are well lit and clean. The room was clean and it had a nice sized bathroom and shower. Good water pressure from the shower. Oddly enough there wasn't any bar soaps in the room. There was lotion, body wash, and shampoo in the mounted pumps on the wall. The bed was comfortable and there wasn't any noises or weird issues throughout the night. A nice stay with a decent hot breakfast to get us going the next day. I would stay at this location again if I was in the area.

He was kind, professional, and provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, he was the only positive part of our experience. The room itself was unacceptable. It smelled like a wet dog from the moment we walked in. There was random hair throughout the room, stains all over the chair, a spider in the room, and the mini fridge didn't even work. It felt dirty and poorly maintained. One of the biggest frustrations was that the hotel never disclosed that the air conditioning is controlled by motion sensors. Every night around 4:00 a.m., the AC would shut off while we were sleeping, leaving us waking up hot and sweating. If you're going to use a system like that, guests should at least be informed. The bathroom experience wasn't any better. There was no shower gel our first day. It was finally replaced, but when we went to use it the second night, the pump didn't work--so once again, no soap. The complimentary makeup wipes were completely dried out and wouldn't remove makeup at all. Then, to top it all off, after checkout we were charged $50 for a "damaged" towel because we had to use shampoo on a washcloth to remove our makeup after the hotel's makeup wipes failed. Charging guests for something that resulted from your own lack of working amenities is unbelievable. I contacted the general manager Carry, hoping to resolve the issue professionally. Instead, she was dismissive, unprofessional, and actually hung up on me. Her response was essentially that they didn't care because the hotel would be undergoing renovations soon. That level of customer service is unacceptable. Between the dirty room, broken amenities, misleading AC system, constant noise from what sounded like a stampede of rhinos running around in the room above us, and the complete lack of professionalism from management, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. If you're considering staying here, be prepared to significantly lower your expectations. This hotel not only failed to provide a clean, comfortable stay, but also chose to nickel-and-dime guests instead of taking responsibility for its own shortcomings. I would not recommend staying here.

It was a nice three day trip with my friends in Castle Rock. I checked in on a late evening July…read more4th. I was greeted immediately by the front desk, who didn't worry about my third party reservation, and have me a room at the requested 4th floor. The room was nothing fancy or upscale, but still clean and comfortable. It has two queen beds that were comfortable enough for sleeping. The TV was large and also a smart TV. There were ample amount of cable channels, and I also was able to enjoy YouTube too. The AC was wall mounted, but cooled the room quite well when needed. The desk area was fine, and I enjoyed the Keurig coffee in the room. The bathroom was clean and organized. The shower pressure was a bit light, but still did the job. The towels could have been thicker, but the bathroom amenities were good. For a 2.5 star hotel, the room was very good. The lobby was casual, but still inviting with enough chairs to relax. The breakfast was complimentary and had good amount of hot foods like omelette, sausage, bacon, and potatoes. Cereals, muffins, and waffles were also available. Juice and coffee were from a dispenser, and were ok. The fitness center and pool were small, but useful. Please note that the entrance doors open manually, but you can press a button to have them open automatically if needed. The service was well caring. The receptionist was very helpful in finding places nearby, and helping me with luggage after I got injured. Checkout was also very easy. I am very happy that I got this mystery hotel at Priceline for a great price. With the clean and comfortable rooms, free breakfast, and great service, it's a great hotel in the Castle Rock area. Drury Plaza Hotel Denver Westminster - Queen beds

Drury Plaza is a fairly high-end 7-story hotel just off the Boulder Turnpike at Church Ranch…read more Normally they're a bit over my budget. During slow times, however, they can be quite affordable. Here are a few specific notes. Lighting: My room had lights in the right places, and the bulbs were bright enough to read by. Shower: The "rain" style shower head was mounted fairly high and worked well. The manufacturer of the "Nourish" brand shampoo trumpets high-end, luxury products, but goes to great lengths to hide the ingredients; it turns out that the shampoo contains SLS, which many people find drying and rash-inducing. Security: Like most hotels, Drury Plaza is situated in a "transitional space" which invites ne'er-do-wells. The outside is ringed with good lighting and cameras. Inside, the staff is very alert. While I was at the buffet, a non-guest wandered in; it took less than 30 seconds for a manager to redirect the interloper to the door, and numerous staff members materialized and cheerfully greeted everyone in the area (presumably to make sure that everyone belonged). Food: The "Evening Kick-Back" is a full meal. They rotate between three buffet-style menus, but there are enough extras to mix-and-match a wide variety of meals. At the height of a flu outbreak, I saw a lady cough into her hand then handle half a dozen serving utensils...everyone following her picked up a nice dose of virus. No hand sanitizer was provided (which meets the local health code--I checked--but many other states require sanitizer stations at buffets).

I will never be booking the Drury again. Stay away!!
