They installed a whole new unit in my house $5000.00. The system stopped cooling exactly 1 year and…read moreunder warranty. I called them 8/18/19 and left VM which they received. I called the office this morning and now they say no labor warranty which is 100% wrong! They want me to call someone else to repair it! I wanted Affordable to come check it out but no they wouldn't. Very poor service I called another AC company to come out and check my system which are here already. There is a leak in my brand new system one year old system. What's wrong with Affordable Heat and AC, they don't want to take care of your customers who support them!!

I called Affordable Heat and Air to get a quote to install a new AC unit. As he got out of his…read moretruck, he asked if my unit was in the attic. I said yes, and he said he remembered working on my house when the previous owner owned it. I work in HVAC design (his coworker even made a comment about how it was nice to talk to an owner that knew what they were talking about), so I was telling him what I was looking at installing. He proceeded to lecture me for an hour on why I should spray foam my attic. I kept telling him that I agreed, but I could not afford that and was not planning on being in this house long enough to make that level investment. He didn't listen. He kept pushing and pushing the insulation issue. After an hour, he proceeded to tell me that he was getting too old to be climbing in hot attics to replace units. He wasted AN HOUR of my time when he knew from the moment he got out of my truck that he was not going to give me a quote!!! I give two stars because I did not disagree with spray foaming being a good idea, so I am not saying he is not somewhat knowledgeable, nor am I saying he does good install work. However, he will not listen to your requests and is very arrogant in pushing his own agenda. I am very fortunate to be knowledgeable in HVAC and recognize a poor HVAC businessman, but let this be a warning to those not in the HVAC field. PS. At work the next day (an HVAC office btw), I was complaining about the level of disrespect by wasting my time and blowing off my request, and my coworker proceeded to tell me that he had a very unpleasant experience with this company too (he requested Howard to do one thing, and he did another on his own accord).

We started with him, he answered very promtly and professional. We continued to call all the others as well, looking for pricing(more than reasonable), timing etc., none answered, none responded. Brad came the next day, gave pricing and started immediately. The fact that he comes in and starts his work, does not stand around talking or out smoking, etc was the first indication we had our man. The first project was to correct another persons errors, then much more. My husband and I both work, different shifts and can not be on site at all times, he is trustworthy, dependable, friendly and helpful. Trust worthy, so much so we gave him the keys to work ad lib, that is an amazing feeling to know we have no worries and if there are issues we don't see he catches them and gives recomendations/advice. If you are looking for a handyman, he is your man. The list goes on with what he can do; we thought some work would need to be contracted out???? Nope he does it all.
