Office staff was caring and very detailed in discussing the procedure. My only complaint is how harsh billing practices are handled from the initial contact. I do understand that these practices need their money and probably deal with a few deadbeats. Kindness can go a long ways when you are already dealing with procedures that are nerve wracking. When I reached out for clarification, Christy Loudermill, who I was told was the "billing manager" (which already confused me, considering her title is practice administrator), handled the situation in a way that was honestly shocking to me. Her response came off cold, dismissive, and completely uninterested in the fact that their mistake had real consequences for me. Instead of taking ownership or offering real help, the explanation was basically a quick brush-off labeled as "human error," as if that magically excused everything. What made it worse was the tone -- like I was the inconvenience for asking why I was suddenly expected to pay far more than what Christy herself had confirmed. There was no sense of accountability, no recognition of the office's own miscommunication, and absolutely zero acknowledgment of the impact this caused. The entire situation left me feeling like accuracy and transparency simply weren't priorities for her. And the fact that someone in the office even referred to her as the "billing manager" just added to the mess. When the people working there can't even get titles straight, it says a lot about how disorganized things are behind the scenes. My opinion? If this is how the practice administrator handles problems -- with confusion, deflection, and an attitude that the patient should just swallow the difference -- then the rest of the office is likely following the same example. Very rude tone of voice as if HMO is not welcomed. I said that I found your office on Aetna web site and that it shows you guys are taking new patients. In fact Aetna referred me ti your office. When I phoned this office, they booked my appointment with no issue. But upon arrival, the front desk receptionist is very rude. The receptionist said that I will need to call Aetna to verify if my insurance PPO or HMO. It was such a frustrating experience. After 15 minutes, I decided to leave. It is not worth my headache. As a new patient, I did not feel welcomed but judged. I was treated and talked to with disrespect and treated like a minority and outsider. The demeanor along was filled with discrimination and discomfort. So I told them that if you do not want my business, its Ok. im happy to leave. So I left.

I wanted the gas or yank the tooth so I could be done with it. Dr. Motaref explained in detail each of the procedures with consequences and outcomes. Fearful (grown man), chose the root canal, no gas. I felt nothing, not even the shot. My next visit was a cleaning. The last time (5 days ago) a tooth extraction, and again felt nothing. Each visit I was kept informed of what to expect while they were working on my teeth, sometimes in stereo :). After each visit I was informed of care, what to expect, and what to avoid. I have at least four more visits to correct issues, but not as extreme. Then it will be routine visits after that! I think their receptionist does all of the insurance footwork and has it on paper for you. Check in and phone calls, she is a warm receptionist. The hygienists are energetic, talkative, and some times sing with the background music. Dr. Motaref is not only professional but displays a bedside manner we would hope for from our own primary care physicians. They all make the visit stress free, almost enjoyable... come on now, we are talking about the dentist. LOL

He didn't want to oversee my care because of the possibility that there would be complications and, basically, he didn't want to deal with those complications down the line. Also, they billed me under the Delta Dental code 9310 so they could charge the full rate, rather than D0140, under which I could have gotten the discounted DD rate. I'm sure he's a skilled surgeon, but he prioritizes $$ over patient's well-being.

After the consultation, I learned I didn't need a root canal--despite having seen two other dentists who said I did based on X-rays and scans. Their equipment is hands down better than most dentists', or at least far more thorough. I didn't think a root canal was necessary because my tooth rarely hurt, only after eating when something got caught in the cracked tooth. I asked for a consultation, and we came to the conclusion that I didn't need one. The staff is very friendly, and I do recommend them. The only downside is that you have to pay upfront, and insurance reimburses you afterward. You need to have the funds available at the time of service.

I had two root canals done here within a couple months. For the record, these were my first two…read moreever so I wasn't sure what to expect, except that I wouldn't have any feeling in those teeth. After I had gotten the first one done, I called them to let them know I was having issues and they said to just take ibuprofen. At my second root canal appointment, I brought up to them again that I was still having issues with the first one and all they did was take me back, do the hot cold test on me but I didn't feel that so they sent me on my way even though I told them I wasn't having issues with hot or cold, it was more so pressure sensitivity, like when I chew or floss. But they didn't take the time to hear me out which is really frustrating, especially because I was trying to get it fixed before I had my permanent tooth put on which they say to do within two weeks of getting the root canal done. Because they dismissed me so many times, I was too scared to call them and complain again with the fear of being written off and honestly charged again without the issue being fixed. Now it's eight months later and I am still having problems chewing and flossing in now both teeth.

I arrived at 1:18pm & they didn't reschedule me, thank GOD! I believe someone had canceled. The lobby was nicely furnished & clean, they have a small refrigerator filled with water. Liz was GREAT she did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth I would rate her at a 10/10 she took her time with me, was very nice, polite, professional, helpful, & knowledgeable about dentistry!!! My female dentist who came in at the very end to inspect everything was great as well besides the fact she rushed applying the enamel protection on my teeth.
