I have never had such a negative experience at a Comfort Dental. Having recently moved to Evergreen, I was looking for a new dentist. I had a conversation about my history with him, which he completely ignored. During my exam, he just kept giving me the hard sell for the Gold Plan. Afterwards, he indicated the need for me to have a filling replaced (which was not necessary after I got a second opinion). Due to his condescending attitude, aggressive behavior and misinformation, I will never go back there. P.S. I am very pleased with the CD in Conifer, btw. I have used them on a few occasions...(meaning at least 3) and all of those times I was relaxed while there, nothing awful happened, I was taken care of well and no bad effects from procedures done and the billing was no surprise to me and I had no pain when the procedure was over.. That is what I care about..not magazines in waiting room, warmed seats, music in the background, windows to relax by, wide screen views of lakes in other countries. I have never written a review until today but this business was a bad experience. I have never been talked down to by a health care provider until I came here. The doctor talked down to me as if I didn't understand anything, then I had to explain to her my heart condition and remind her three times what it is and what it means. And the tech seemed as though she does not like her job and I was an inconvenience to her day. Furthermore she was not gentle with the x-rays, shoving them in my mouth and almost ripping them out. Comfort dental has one aim and that is to take your money. Its all about the upsell. When the first thing a doctor asks is whether you are happy with the cosmetics of your teeth flags go off. Then when we call to ask for a copy of xrays - which means no new revenue they are rude as they can possibly be. Well - it just makes it oh so clear what thier agenda is. They do not have digital xrays? Well, welcome to the 21st century. Time to upgrade - like maybe 5 years ago? I have been seeing Dr.O and his knowledgeable staff for over 5 years now. If I could give them a ten star rating, I would!! When I came to Dr.O there was a lot of dental work that I needed fixed that a previous dentist had done wrong. Dr. O restored my faith in dentistry and I will use him until the day I die. His staff has also been so wonderful! Josie, in particular, is so smart and talented!! She has so much experience and always has answers and solutions to all of my questions and concerns. She is a real perfectionist which is so hard to find these days!! While DR.O and his associates make my teeth beautiful, they also provide a relaxing and fun environment. Unnecessary dental work was suggested. I felt uneasy about the suggested work and so I got a second opinion where after X-rays and exam the dentist found no work needed to be done at all. This may be a great place to go if you need a tooth pulled, but I would avoid this place. As you can see by other reviews, I'm not the only one who was told they needed work when a second opinion turned up nothing. And it's not even the money that bothers me! I mean sure, it's horrible to pay for something you don't need, but the horrible part is that any time work is done on your teeth, It's irreversible! The integrity of your tooth or teeth is compromised for no reason! Honestly I can't even think of a reason to do something like this other than to increase sales revenue. Sad. read more

I was a customer who took advantage of their in-house dental insurance program (not having any dental insurance offered through my company) and what a mistake! I paid them every month until it was paid in full. Then 2 months after its paid off, I receive a notice from a collection agency stating that I am owe the original amount in its entirety! Absolutely fabulous experience. I take care of my teeth but getting older. Started with cleaning and first time anyone used pumice to get stain off. Very knowledgeable & detailed hygienist & dentist. Fixed 3 chipped teeth from another office & look fabulous. Better than ever. They know teeth & are very courteous & sympathetic not to mention amazing job. Avoid this place! Not only does it smell like a musty old basement, but they told both myself and a friend (two separate locations) that we had 4 cavities. Obviously I got a second opinion by a more legitimate dentist (as did he) and neither of us had a single cavity. Seems their corporate policy is to lie to people so they can drill into them and make money. They're only slightly cheaper than other dentists. It's not worth saving a little, because in the long run you'll end up paying for dental work you don't need. read more

Had a tooth extracted. It was traumatic. I apparently had 3 roots (as opposed to the normal 2), holding my tooth down. After having developed a dry socket, I have been back 4 times to try to get the pain under control. I get the same treatment every time - rinse, shove clove medicine in the cavity and told to wait for it to heal. I have been in severe, mind-blowing pain for 10 days straight now. Called yesterday morning with no return call. Called back at around 6:30PM and received a snotty "if you left a message already, someone will call you back". I said, "Well, maybe the message was missed somehow, could you please remind the doctor to call me back"? I got - "Like I said, someone will call you back". Did she ask for my name or number? No. I could tell that this was Shannon's week off because this employee was RUDE! Shannon is so nice and should be commended for her patience and kindness... While on vacation in Evergreen, CO, I had an issue with one of my teeth. I ended up at Comfort Dental with a last minute appointment (they very kindly squeezed me in), and was seen by Dr. Rotolo. Turned out I had 3 fillings that needed to be done. First, I never felt the shot to numb my teeth/gums, I mean I felt nothing. He did the work on my teeth, painlessly, and thoroughly. I wish I lived here as Dr. Rotolo would be my regular dentist, he did a great job! Very happy. Left the office and enjoyed the rest of my vacation! read more

I had six cavities done at Evergreen Comfort dental. Dr. Gina Marie Searle did my bite wrong. It broke my root canal. When I called her and told her she would not give me any meds and referred me to another dentist 40 miles from my house. It kept getting worse so I went to another local dentist for a free evaluation. They said I needed an extraction which they did not do. So I went back to Comfort dental to get the extraction. Dr. gina yelled at me over the phone and when I went in to get the extraction I really got yelled at by Dr. Rotolo for going to the other local dentist. I was crying in pain and had sepsis. These people are cruel and unprofessional. They should not be in business, the customer is always right. I could have died because of them. read more

Michelle the dental assistant was cold and extremely and rude. I have seen both doctors and they are EXCELLENT. It's shocking that they would have someone with such poor bedside manners working with them. I think when I patient is in extreme dental pain, that is a time to especially use bedside manners. I have been a comfort dental patient for 15 year plus. Not because they were highly recommended but I could afford them. I am in need of two new crowns put in 10 years ago. I understand that they may not last for life ,but I was told when I got the two crowns to rub my gums and the recession would go away. It never did , That was on 44th and ward . I then had 4 more crowns put in 2 on 44th and ward and the other two in evergreen. I had insurance in some form or another for all but the last two. I went back to Evergreen to have a crown put in on the bottom moller , ok I now have a new insurance DELTA ,,The only one making any money is comfort dental . 500$ is what they still charged me for my crown with or with out insurance. They said it is because DELTA pays 750 and so they must charge that.And then a build up charge is automatically included. So now Im paying 500$ with insurance .It should be 350$. Plus this dentist in Evergreen that had put a crown on one of my teeth 1 1/2 yrs later said that that tooth plus the one next to it were mobile. He gave me a root canal on the other one not crowned and crowned the other . I dont think he remembered he was the one who had performed the work in the first place. I Sent my boyfriend to see him, My boyfriend has a half million dollar house and very well off . My boyfriend gets cleaning reminders in the mail . I never have!! To have my teeth scaled is 32$ per section ...ok... No .they want a 100$ deductible to do that plus the 32$ Very unhappy .. I thought I could trust a local dentist, turns out that alot of not so well off are getting the same run around, He excepts medicaid and he charges the same regardless to the lower income with or w/o insurance . The worse experience ever! They did a root canal & missed the canal completly & perforated the bone & left a big hole in it. This wasn't done this year, but I have to for-warn you to not take any chances of going there. Dr. Rotolo is the one who destroyed my tooth which resulted in me loosing two front teeth from his work or lack of work. This is a fact, not just what I think. After he did this,he said I had to go to a root canal specialist & he didn't want to finish it. But he didn't tell me what he had done. It was during holidays & I couldn't get in anywhere for almost two months, because all were either out of town, backed up when they got back or I couldn't find anyone who wanted to finish someone else work. who left a root canal 1/2 finished. I was in extreme daily pain for that long & during the holidays with family I hadn't seen for years. What a nightmare, because I was in too much pain to be around anyone. It showed the perforation on an X-ray by another dentist of how he missed the canal. The new dentist, who I finally found to finish the root canal is the one who found the perforated bone. He almost missed it, even with his high power microscope, until he checked further, because he couldn't understand why it was bleeding so much. The uncompleted root canal got infected & spread to the tooth next to it, since I had to wait that long to get in somewhere else. Dr. Rotolo wouldn't give anything for pain & only said he doesn't understand why I would be hurting so much. Really, he left a root canal incomplete & put a big hole in my bone. The infection spread to the tooth next to it, so I had to have anohter root canal on that one too, but two months later while I still stayed in so much extreme pain, where I couldn't function, I end up loosing both front teeth over this!. Neither of the root canal took, because the infection turned the teeth to mushy decay. To loose two front teeth has been devastating, along with now having to wear uncomfortable partials that bother the teeth they're supported on. It's been years of pain all due to what he did to me. If I wanted to sue him, which he deserved, when you loose parts of your body & smile, I would have to come up with over $900.00 up front, to pay another dentist to get an expert witness of the damage he did & how he knew that day, because it showed on the X-ray, I didn't have this extra money because it went into two root canals, so maybe they are cheaper, but not experienced enough to do root canals or have the high power microscopes they need. Don't ever get a root canal by a regular dentist, because they don't have the right equipment to do them. I'm not sue happy, but when you loose two front teeth from negligence, that justifies to suing them He had an obligation to tell me he perforated the bone, which was proven he knew, since we could see it in the X-ray he took after he stopped but didn't finish. Now I'm sure that's why he stopped & said he can't finish it. Loosing two front teeth is loosing body parts & my smile, which was one of my best features. I've been so depressed since. I would have won if I sued him, but I needed that expert witness to verify this. I called over 6 attorneys & they all say how hard it is to sue a dentist, but I had a great case if I could get the expert dentist to put it in writing, even though I had proof by other dentist. These attorneys, even the large firms, don't put the money out for the expert witness themselves, even if the case is on contingency, so he got away with it! I had to write this finally, to prevent it from happening to someone else. After the fact, I looked up his record & he's been reported to the BBB & written up for negligence. My advice is always check on any dentist or doctor before you get the work done, Because to top it off, the dentist who finally was willing to finish the root canal also had two records of loosing his license from two DUI's & was working under the other dentist's license in his office. I hadn't checked on either back then, but now I always do. It still doesn't mean they will be good, because I have yet found an honest good dentist & I've been to over 15 of them with bad experience with each. Mostly their dishonesty. I taped my appointments & all calls, & by CO laws, you don't have to tell them they are being taped, I double checked with an attorney. So, I had the proof of what they've told me & how they've lied to me & say one thing & don't back it up. They denied they say what they said, but I have it on tape, so they can keep lying, but once I tell them they've been taped & all the proof of what they've told me, even including the price they gave you, I was able to get refunded. But, it doesn't prevent all the stress , time & headache to deal with dishonest dentist or taking a chance of loosing teeth.
