As a self-employed person, I got my dental insurance via state's ACA website, which admittedly may not be gold standards. But..since dental insurance is sort of optional these days, I figured having one isn't going to harm me, especially if I still want to upkeep my teeth care and cleaning. What I loved most about it is that the place is central and close enough to my place, that it won't stress me out trying to get there. Also, I found that they are open late until 7:30pm, which was all a plus to me! Now, I have been getting my teeth checkups twice at this point. My experiences had been quite acceptable. The staff at the frontdesks had always been nice. The dentists and assistants were ok (hit or miss I guess). But..they got their jobs done and didn't push for me to do any unnecessary procedures...yet (I mentioned this because I believe at some point...it may turn into this over time..but so far..just x-ray, cleaning and check up..and it was fine!). But so far..no cavities for me..and so..I guess I didn't have to pay anything OOP yet (just using my insurance). Overall, a decent place. They did clean sort of quickly (compared to another place I had been to) though..so I wasn't sure if it was just less attention on the work..or it was they were so efficient. For the prices (of my cheap insurance that only approves Comfort Dental as a nearby place for me, it is decent enough! read more

I had a tooth that was bugging be as it felt like I had something stuck but nothing there. I called and they got me right in for the next morning. Turns out part of a filling came out from a root canal I had 4 months ago. Dentist(Elizabeth) also the boss at this practice. She said I need a crown which is about $1500 out of pocket which I don't have at the moment. I asked for it to be filled so she filled it and wanted to send me on my way. I told another lady(Daniela), that was nice enough to polish the filling as to not hit the bottom teeth. Elizabeth I guess a "matter of fact) type which may be mistaken for not being very nice to folks. It's a bit off putting especially considering the rest of the staff is very nice. End of the day, Holly(office staff) was great and got me the paperwork & will let me know when the estimate comes back from the insurance company. read more

One day, in June 2026, after a procedure, I was told I have two cavities that need to be fixed. Cost; $300. Two weeks later, told the cost is $600. Why? "Because the price on one of the two teeth went up." Really? Which one, I asked! "Number 19." Really, I said. How did you all decide that? Do you just take a number out of a bag and say, "ok, it's number 19! Raise the price!" I feel like I went to the jiffy lube if dental work. My crown doesn't fit properly either! read more

They are always so welcoming and supportive. Amazing people work here! They are so good to my daughter every time we go in.

Mariela provided great quality professional care. Was really helpful and experienced would definitely recommend to anyone.

"Elizabeth Wilson" who currently operates out of Comfort Dental on Lomas is dangerously incompetent and must be avoided. Let me explain. During the one week since being assigned to Elizabeth Wilson, I experienced: Monday 2/3/2025: Elizabeth Wilson never showed up to my first appointment with her. After waiting one hour and 35 minutes, I saw another provider. This provider, Mark, promised to send my prescription (needed for upcoming procedure) to the pharmacy "today" and to coordinate with Elizabeth Wilson. He did not do so. Tuesday 2/4/2025: Elizabeth Wilson sent the wrong prescription (the wrong medication - oops) to my pharmacy. My cardiologist and my primary care doctor both confirmed this was a dangerous mistake. She promises to send the correct Rx "immediately" and the receptionist assured me the correct Rx would be sent by close-of-business today. Spent 55 minutes waiting at the pharmacy in-person to discover her error. Wednesday 2/5/2025: Another day passed, and eventually Elizabeth Wilson sent ... the wrong Rx again. I spent 40 minutes waiting at the pharmacy to discover her next embarrassing mistake. Thursday 2/6/2025: I spend two hours total on the phone or on hold with comfort dental. I am repeatedly lied to about my Rx being "about to be sent to the pharmacy". Elizabeth Wilson once again misrepresents her previous mistakes while pretending to immediately send the correct Rx. Today, I spent 1 hour and 5 minutes at the pharmacy, all of that time wasted because of Elizabeth Wilson's endless series of mistakes. Friday 2/7/2025: Elizabeth Wilson sent the wrong Rx to my pharmacy AGAIN! At this point, I'm speechless. Never encountered a dental or medical "provider" like her before in my entire life. I only wasted 30 minutes at the pharmacy in-person today. After witnessing 5 days of her dangerous mistakes in a row, the pharmacist (who knows me well) made the remark "Are you sure she [Elizabeth Wilson] is actually a dentist, and allowed to prescribe medications? Kinda seems like it could be a scam, you know?" Monday 2/10/2025: Because Elizabeth Wilson was over an hour late to my initial appointment last week, I called Comfort Dental before heading to my 6pm procedure. Good thing I did this, because I learned that Elizabeth Wilson had arbitrarily cancelled/rescheduled my appointment *without telling me*. That's correct: she cancelled my appointment without notifying me. On the same day of the appointment. I understand that sometimes providers have to cancel or reschedule appointments...however, I cannot understand how Elizabeth Wilson was OK with cancelling my appointment on the same-day, and choosing to not notify me. If I hadn't called before heading over, I would have showed up to the appointment at Comfort Dental, after taking all my pre-procedure medications, only to discover that it had been cancelled without anyone telling me. No big deal, right? It's not like I had to coordinate for a friend to take me to and from the procedure.... At this point, I fired Elizabeth Wilson and I am in the process of finding a real dentist. To say that Elizabeth Wilson is incompetent is an understatement; she is dangerous if you care about your health and she is especially unsuitable for any patients who require one or more prescription medications be taken for dental procedures. So for those of you with prosthetic heart valves, anxiety disorders, and other common conditions that require prophylactic Rx medications for procedures, you will absolutely suffer if you rely on Elizabeth Wilson...for anything. She will also waste tremendous amounts of your time, while bringing you no closer to your dental treatment goals. For example, I had to travel to my pharmacy four days in a row...because Elizabeth Wilson repeatedly sent the wrong medication and/or the wrong dosage to the pharmacy. During the past decade, I've had about 30 dental procedures and none of the many dentists who treated me in the past struggled with submitting my required Rx to the pharmacy before a procedure. read more

Every time I go to this place they have to extract a tooth, I was seen on 6/20/22by Dr Preito and of course I had to have a tooth extracted. I am scared to death of the dentist. He literally stood in front of me syringe in hand telling me that he had to inject the roof of my mouth and it is going to hurt! I asked him why he wasn't numbing it with gel first! He said the gel is only a Placebo !! WTHell !! Then proceeded to use a gel and instantly inject medication it hurt like all hell I will never go back there again I was given pain meds after the procedure! The roof of my mouth was bruised and cut and I'm now dealing with an infection. I called to get antibiotics prescribed on Friday and was told that I would have to wait till Wednesday to speak with the dentist! I'm in so much pain! This is the worst place ever!!!! read more

They charge people who live locally 10.00 to come on Saturdays. I choose to come Saturdays because my son can't miss school nor can I miss work... They reserve Saturday for "out of town" people. I think it's a lie because those people can be seen anytime during the week too. I think it's just so the dentists can pocket extra money. You shouldn't charge people for convenience. Sounds like a scam to me. read more

My wife came in for a simple extraction. Came in at 8 a.m. It is now 2 hours later and they've done nothing but give her numbing meds twice!! The dentist came in at 845 and gave her the first shots then walked next to us and spent 40 min. On someone else then he's confused why she's not numb anymore. The first shots didn't work well to begin with, so he gives her more then walks off and works on someone else for another 30 min. This is a ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN. read more

10/10 would absolutely NOT recommend comfort dental. I scheduled a root canal appointment approximately a month in advance. I ended up waiting a solid hour and a half in their waiting room to be called upon. Once I was finally back in the chair, all their staff was extremely rude, and unprofessional. As well as the building is extremely filthy. Please don't waste your time/money here. read more

Save yourself the trouble. I came here today for an emergency dental appointment due to a tooth that was broken by accident. The dentist was extremely rude and told me "I don't know what you want me to do for this." And I literally had to explain that I needed the tooth glued together until I could see my normal dentist. From there the dentist literally started speaking down to me about other cavities I have and the fact that I need a few root canals, stating I must drink a lot of soda. I explained to her and on all my paperwork that I have a thyroid related autoimmune disease that causes me to go through periods of rapid tooth and gum decay despite the fact that my diet and oral hygiene are actually good. When it was time to glue the tooth she was rough and forceful asking is I was in pain but offering to be more gentle or numb my mouth in any way. I left feeling like I was shamed for a disease I have no control over that I already feel self conscious of and like I had been physically handled poorly. I am not at all happy. read more

Horrible place. Didn't even try putting in a Prior Auth for my root canal after they explicitly told me they could on the phone the 2 times I called to confirm the information. Just called my insurance to check for the 3rd time and they said Comfort Dental was wrong and she filed a grievance against them for me. Avoid this sketchy place. I guess they save money by not having individual rooms. I'm actually glad they were unwilling to do the root canal evaluation. read more

Do not come here unless you're desperate. I called and specifically said I needed an appointment for a cleaning for me and my husband, the receptionist said okay and said there was many open appointments for the next day. She made the appointments and we go in the next day for cleanings and wait 30 minutes to be seen. The poor people before us was a mother with a very young kid who had been waiting an hour. The receptionist said the wait was because there was only one dentist in that day. Then why were there so many open appointments? I get seen and the hygienist takes my x-rays, she was very nice, then the dentist comes in and takes a quick look at my teeth and says I need a root canal. Then they send me out to get an estimate for a root canal. I didn't even get my teeth cleaned! I am given a very pricey estimate for a root canal and my husband comes out, they didn't clean his teeth either. We leave with pricey estimates for dental work and our teeth were not cleaned, the reason I made an appointment. They charge $25 each to get your X-rays sent to another dentist that will actually do a cleaning. If they don't do cleanings, they should have told me that when I specifically said we need cleanings. The place was packed full and had an open back area full of chairs and no privacy. I would not recommend going here if you're looking for a new, regular dentist. Update: We paid $50 for X rays to be sent to our new dentist, they said it would take 24 hours. The next day we went to our new dentist, over 24 hours later and they hadn't sent them. The office lady at our new dentist had to call them herself to get them to send them and was shocked that they charged us for our own X-rays. read more

PLEASE READ DENTAL OFFICE FROM HELL: This story is crazy and it was HORRIBLE. Please save yourself and your teeth and run as far away from this place as you can. I am 24 and I use medicaid, needed a routine cleaning and some x rays. Got the cleaning and it was pretty terrible. Didn't spend much time actually getting teeth clean at all and it showed. Then X-rays showed I had a couple small cavities, they had time so we did them that day. They did the fillings and the doctor actually stabbed me in the face accidentally with a drill while it was on and made a hole under my lip. They felt unprofessional then, and my mistake was not just getting up and walking out because!!! Here's where it gets horrible 2 weeks later my teeth weren't sitting right and my bite was messed up because the doctor didn't take the time to file them correctly, I started getting really bad tooth pain. I went in, there was a guy who was clearly strung out on drugs in the lobby with me pacing and then falling asleep, talking to himself. I overheard the conversation he had with the dentist and the dentist actually just prescribed him pain killers without even actually looking at his mouth! NICE PLACE RIGHT? This guy came in after me and was seen before me by the way. I finally get seen I'm in so much pain and pretty delirious at this point. The dental assistant actually has the nerve to ask me "does that sound good to you" after he tells me what he's gonna do for me. Like YOU are supposed to be the professional I don't know if that's good or not. A different dentist from the last one sees me, files my teeth, prescribes me pain killers (of course this place is just a legal drug dealer) and some anti biotics. I feel better after getting my teeth filed and go home The next day I start to get horrible pain in my cheek and teeth again and I can feel an abscess forming in my gum. I am taking the anti biotics but still getting an infection and was not warned that this might happen. So I go back in AGAIN. The dentist is so RUDE this time I actually said to him "I feel like I'm in a horror movie right now this is so fucked up". I received not even so much as an apology. He actually denied that any of this was in any way his fault or related to his shotty dental work. I had to actually ask him to x Ray where the abscess was forming because he claimed "there is no infection in your mouth". When he finally found the abscess on the X-ray he told me "looks like I need to extract this tooth". 2 minutes ago he said there was no infection, now he needs to pull my back molar. This guy needs his license REVOKED. He's insane and a total asshole who clearly doesn't care about people in pain or performing good business. I got up and left, still in tons of pain, feeling completely violated, treated terribly and with no resolve. Looking for a new dental office to accept Medicaid . All I could do is write this review and hope I save someone else from the dentist from hell. read more

Wait time for a teeth cleaning was one hour and ten minutes -- that's after arriving 20 minutes early and filling out the five minute obligatory paperwork! My wife picked this place instead of my normal dentist and I didn't like it from the get go. It's a bit "ghetto" for starters, basically a cattle ranch of dentistry. I'm typing this as we just got situated and the dentistry assistant asked what we'd like, well . . . considering my wife scheduled a teeth cleaning, maybe let's start with that. I said, "basically we need to get x-Rays for her wisdom teeth which most likely still need to be removed, a general check-up, and her teeth cleaning." "So you'd like to get your teeth cleaned today?", she said. This is the worst. If you can get into a normal dentist then please do so, and run from this place! read more

Worst experience ever. They are trying to overcharge me, and the technician was drunk during my procedure. Wouldn't recommend.

Dr. Jeremy is great at extractions! He's quick and I couldn't feel a thing even after the numbing shots wore off.

This place should have 1 star. They are horrible and Dr. Elizabeth Wilson is the worst. Will extract a tooth and just leave you for a month without doing anything. Never again will I step foot in this place! read more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! A couple of weeks prior to my visit, I had called to set up an appt. & gave them my insurance coverage for them to check that it's acceptable (which I was told it was) for services to be rendered upon my arrival. The date of my appt. (1st visit) I was asked again for my insurance coverage (which again I produced), after a couple of minutes, I was told that it was my responsibility to make sure my insurance was able to cover the services that needed to be done (I was like, "Hello! Do I look like a dentist?"). That being it was a weekend they weren't able to verify coverage. I was furious, I told them "I gave the information weeks ago to the receptionist that set up the appt. and to verify it." It was a wasted trip in which I drove 2.5 hours and I just walked out on them. "I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION for services." read more

The typical run of the mill generic dentist office. I like that it is a chain, that is initially why I chose this establishment for dental work, however, each office is independent from the other, even though it is a national chain, the dental records are not shared between offices. Seems a bit silly to me. We like our dentist and she has provided decent service but come on people, if you are a national chain, get with the program and link your records! read more

This Comfort dental doesn't specialize in cleaning or stain removing, the buffer they got doesn't clean the teeth as much or remove stains. Do this place do proper cleanings as well?. They offer additional teeth whitening packages for over 100$ as consider people to purchase teeth whitening strips they sponsor. Fluoride treatment for our bi yearly visit is a must and I'm sure evryone else who gets usually. Theres some places where they can actually get the satins out if this place can't and that place must make money by now with what it can do. read more

I went in for my first visit recently. After X-raying my teeth, the hygienist (?) polished my teeth without cleaning or flossing them. Then, the dentist came in, looked in my mouth and instantly determined that I had a dozen or so cavities. She tried to point them out to me through a series of mirrors, like I know what I'm looking at. (In my experience, when a dentist finds a cavity, she pushes on it a bit and you know by the feeling that something is wrong.) FINALLY, the dentist cleaned my teeth, for, maybe, a couple of minutes. Seriously, she cleaned some soft plaque from between my teeth and gums and called it a day. I'm 38, and I have had three or four cavities my whole life, in part because I've gone to a family dentist who gave my teeth his attention. I'm not saying that it's impossible that I had some new cavities, but I am saying that I don't trust a dentistry that spends so little time actually cleaning or looking at my teeth. Plus, the lobby floor is dirty, the padding is popping through the fabric on some of the chairs, and the walls are all marked up. (Should have been a sign about the level of attention they give things.) read more

I am a little shaky when it comes to the dentist. They made it so comfortable for me! From the second I walked in I felt accepted and paid attention to. I also decided to get braces through comfort and all of my concerns have been straightened out. My dental - phobia is coming to a hault!! read more

Found Dr Polito by accident. Best accident ever. I love this man and he does great work. Yes, one of the receptionists doesn't listen well and comes off rude, but I've not yet seen anyone dissatisfied with the dentists. This is a very compassionate place. I came in with a massive infection in two teeth and I was immediately cared for. Full x-rays, antibiotics, pain meds and at my request, Dr. Polito gave me Novocaine. Within a day of the antibiotics, the pain was GONE. We've since pulled those teeth and replaced it with a bridge and I couldn't be happier with the work. I've gone back, without an appointment, several times for bridge adjustments and have been greeted and treated like an old friend. Planning more work this year, which is huge because I've avoided dentists for years because of my past experiences. Dr Polito is my dentist for life, if he'll put up with me! I find it interesting that all the negative reviews have the same issue: they never address a dentist by name, the person posting seems to know everything about dentistry (and how in the heck do you "know" an abscess is forming on the first day? You don't.) In all my visits there, I've NEVER waited more than 10 minutes - with or without an appointment. Everyone in the waiting room loves their dentist. Take the negatives with a grain of salt - this place is great. read more

Horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible................ Wouldn't recommend to anyone nor to any of my family members horrible service teeth cleaning is only two to five minutes and including only floss! Back tooth was damaged, went back to get fixed ANSWER WAS "it looks fine to me" but yet it hurts when I ate cold foods or ate hard foods. Staff are rude and don't let you know what's going on. Just not cool when you go to a place that you should trust and end up with this! read more

Never get braces here!!! Worst customer service EVER!!! The receptionists are rude and make it very difficult to book an appointment because whether or not you are seen a payment is due every month. They will drag treatment on so that they can make more money. If you are already stuck with these people DO NOT EVER pay cash. They will claim that you never made a cash payment. Oh and if you decide to leave this horrid place and be treated like a person somewhere else you will have to pay a $500 transfer fee for the privilege of leaving their sucky service. read more

The dentist here I met was the worst dentist Ive ever met. Poor skills and not respectful. They schedule many patients at the same spot and you may easily wait two hours just to get done one filling. She also did spend very short time for the patients becaus she is in a hurry for many patient waiting after me. I can tell they only care about money from their patients and she recommended some procedures that were not necessary at all for my teeth. Fillings on my front teeth flr example were unnecessary at all and it bothers me alot due to the poor filling and gabs between the teeth and material and although Ive been there several times to fix this issue, it happens again and again. I finally decided to change to another dental clinic and will have to solve this issue again. read more

I have been to about four different dentists in my life and this on par for one of the lower quality places. By the looks of the place quantity means more than quality. I saw the female dentist who mumbled her name and spoke really fast. Her examination was finished in a few minutes and I had to point out some concerns and only then did she start noticing more things. Definitely not attentive. A top tier dentist should aim to make your smile look better and clearly that was not her top priority. I don't recommend her. I'm a little surprised that there were no bars on the window with the type of environment that is fostered there. If you want top quality dentistry definitely look further. read more

I needed to see a dentist when I was in Albuquerque for work and I am so happy I chose Comfort Dental. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable as soon as I entered. The waiting room was clean and comfortable but I only had to wait a minute or two before going back to meet a very nice hygienist named Kimball who took my x-rays and started my cleaning. Dr. Sean Morgan saw me and I couldn't be happier with my experience. He made me feel at ease right away by joking a bit and getting to know me before starting to work in my mouth and he was VERY GENTLE! I'm always a bit nervous when I see the dentist but not this time!! Dr. Sean was funny and personable and did an excellent job going over the dental work I needed done and recommending options to fix my old fillings that had been causing some pain. My teeth feel great now and I will definitely be going back to see Dr. Sean for my next cleaning and check-up. read more
