I was prepared to spend almost $800 on 4 bras ($179x4 + GST). She brought me one bra to try on and said it was the only one she had in my size. I had trouble doing it up and she didn't even offer to help. So the next day I went to Melmira and had absolutely fabulous service. I tried at least six or seven bras out of the 10 or 12 she brought me. Needless to say I spent a great deal of money there and I would highly recommend them.

They were proven completely invalid seeing as I was able to go in store without an appointment and buy what I needed (I had bought a gift card before realizing they completely gutted their customer service experience) but the sales associate was pushing me to pay an "appointment fee" to try on the items that I already know fit because I've spent thousands of dollars at SFYS on the same brand. I will now be forced to just shop bordelle on their website and just pay the shipping because there is no longer any incentive to get my shopping done at SFYS because they gatekeep TRYING ITEMS ON which is a basic integral purpose of in person retail shopping. Good job making yourselves obsolete and excluding your customers from an experience that has always been simple to provide. Asking someone to pay $85 upfront just to try on an item they're clearly about to purchase who has already spent over $2000 in your store is not a business practice I would suggest if you want customer loyalty or basic comfort in your store. It seems like being exclusive and pricing your customers who can actually afford to shop there out of the enjoyable experience of shopping there. Get new management or change your policies. A great store has become completely useless to Toronto locals.

Let me start by saying that Ruhee and Leigh are absolutely lovely people. I enjoyed them very much…read more The reasons for my one star review are: 1. I clearly explained my boob situation prior to engaging in a fitting and was told, in writing, that what I was asking for was absolutely doable. 2. At the first fitting, prior to payment, I again described exactly what I needed and was assured again that it was possible. 3. While the bra is custom sewn for each client, you must select from their existing styles. That was not made clear. A bespoke bra should be just that. Not a modified version of one of a few available styles. 4. As we continued to discuss my particular boob challenges, their solution was to stitch in a bunch of small pads (they only carried one size and type of pad that would only be effective for women with smaller breasts). This made for a very lumpy bra and those lumps were noticeable through my clothes. My husband asked me what was wrong with my boobs. Yikes. 5. After multiple unsuccessful attempts, I asked if we could just do what I originally asked for (and was told was absolutely possible) but this time, post-non-refundable-payment, was told, "We don't own that kind of machine." Had I been told that the two times I asked about it before shelling out $800, I wouldn't have purchased the service. 6. Because they only use one kind of pad, which was too small for my breast size, I had to purchase a variety of pads for trial and error. That added even more cost to the bra. My assumption was that a bespoke bra company would have all the sizes and shapes necessary to accommodate their clients. That was not the case. 7. Ultimately, I have an $850 bra that I will never wear. It's uncomfortable. My boobs fall out the bottom of it. I'm constantly having to shift them around. I have ended up using my leftover pads and a $14.99 bra from Walmart to create my own bespoke bra that is more comfortable than any bra I've ever owned. I made it very clear in all of my written and verbal discussions exactly what I wanted and was told it was possible. Apparently, it was not. And now I'm out almost a thousand dollars.
