    Comfort Air was assigned by my home warranty company, Home Warranty of America, May 16, 2025. They have horrible customer service, they missed appointment, told multiple lies about part being delayed and finally they removed the condenser to be repaired offsite. When told by home warranty to return it to my home, it was destroyed beyond repair. My family has gone through a very hot summer with no air. To this day we are still without a working unit because of their failure. I would definitely NOT recommend anyone allowing Comfort Air of Hammond, La to do anything.     First let me say I waited to post this after giving Comfort Air & Mechanical the day to respond to me. If I could give them zero stars I would!! Here is the review, Comfort Air &Mechanical was contracted through my home warranty to repair my geothermal air and heating unit. The technician was first dispatched in April of 2024. He first came out and added Freon to the unit, it was not working the next day at which time they dispatched him again and he said we needed a new AC unit. The unit was ordered and installed. I paid them in full for my portion. It leaked water right after the install. We contacted Comfort Air about the leak, they sent out the same technician. He attempted to repair the leak, it leaked again, we contacted Comfort Air and they sent out same technician and it leaked again, this repetitively occurred. He came out last on Friday July 12, and once again said he repaired the leak, it had a leak the next day. The technician was contacted and said he would put us on the schedule. Monday July 15 we received a text that a technician would be out Wednesday July 17. On Tuesday July 16 we woke up to the back of our home flooded from the pipe that was now pouring out water. Two rooms of carpet and the hallway flooring in addition to some furniture and electronics that also got saturated by water. I immediately contacted Comfort Air at 7:30 am, after getting no response I called. Jamie said she would reach out to management. I sent photos and videos of the leaking and water in my home. At about 12:30 after I persisted in calling and texting I was told that management was contacted and they couldn't send someone out until tomorrow. So apparently someone's home flooding due to their technicians inability to appropriately pipe the unit was not important enough to send someone out immediately. I also asked for management or the owner to call me. I was told by Jamie that she would relay the message. I received no phone call. It is beyond poor business to not take responsibility for your inability to fix someone's AC and to further cause damage that will no doubt be costly to repair. As you are reading through the positive reviews, take note that reviews similar to mine do not receive replies from the company, so they pick and choose who to respond to.

They come out promptly, are good at diagnosing problems and getting your unit up and cooling again quickly and without unnecessary drama. Michael, one of the A/C techs, has taken care of us for years. I knew his wife and she called him at the first sign of a problem. He is friendly and excellent at what he does. He helped us choose a larger, 2-stages unit with dehumidifier when we saw or unit was underserved. We have Bern very happy with it, ad MYB budge loves it cold, but the dehumidifier keeps it from feeling damp and uncomfortable. We consider Michael like one off the family! He still works there, but at Expert. Other techs have also come out and done a great job, as well. In New Orleans, we had a number of adequate and terrible companies, but on the Northshore, we only ever needed one. I can't say enough about this company!

The crew showed up on time with adequate help to do the job, They adapted to changes due to differences from my old to the new unit. The owner and several supervisors came over to insure all of the work was done properly and they have followed up on the job during this past year to insure all was well. They were neat, polite and professional. They may not be the least expensive in town but they are certainly amongst the best. I highly recommend this company.

I Will Never use their services again unless I get a refund. Horrible people when I told them I just lost a brother and I have to fly to California. It's never fun getting a phone call call stating '' you ceiling is holding water. This could of caused mold . I called a different company and they stated '' they didn't do a Danm thing and you should take legal action'' Not only did I have to pay $700 for the same services but another $3,600 to replace the Sheetrock, insulation, etc. its messed up and as caused hell for me these past two months. While the units are cooling the house as advertised, the workmanship was horrible, they failed to install the splash guards, and one of the units is building up so much condensation it's leaking into our ceiling which now requires a sheetrock/painter to repair the damage. But...it's been three weeks now and they have yet to send anyone to address the condensation issue/water leaking, and we can't repair the sheetrock until that problem is corrected. On a side note, they agreed to pay for the damage by hiring the sheetrock/painter, but I keep having to reschedule that person because the water issue is still ongoing and can't get them out here to fix it. For three weeks it's been one excuse after another as to why they can't get back out here and fix this mess.
