Disappointed doesn't even cover it. Brought a WHITE evening gown to be cleaned. Was told it was ready two days after. Go to pick up to find that it is still dirty. Makeup stains still there. The entire hemline of the dress is still dirty. I asked them if they could redo it. They said that it would be not an issue to redo. While I was there, I picked up my husband's suit that I also had dry cleaned at the exact same time of this dress and it was not even $20. Second time around I went to pick up the dress and it is still dirty. The hemline still looks the same. At this point I would like to just take my garment to another cleaner that I know would probably take better care of it. She tells me it's $150 because it's a wedding dress and because it has excessive fabric. I never said that this was a wedding dress, it is a white evening gown. It is nowhere near large with tool or excessive fabric. It's not even double lined. They assumed because it was floor length and white that it was a wedding dress so they charged me an additional wedding dress charge. Not once was I told of this additional charge or that it would be added, nor was I told at the pick up of my husband suit that the price points were drastically different. I've now paid $150 for a dirty dress. Do not go here. Do not waste your money. go local where they care about the work that they do and they care about the product and the service that they provide. read more

BEWARE with your silk. I brought 4 items to them and they're all destroyed. My favorite silk top is discolored from the chemicals and they shrunk it. The texture is destroyed as well and it's terribly faded. Another dress (pink silk) has stains ALL OVER it. Another piece has white powder splotches all over it. I am truly in shock. And sure they can give me my money back but it will not replace items I cannot purchase ever again. read more

Received a shirt with a hole and their response is that the shirt is old and they haven't got anything that do holes (no hangers, no other pointed or sharp items? I can think of many...). After a lot of discussion, they took care and just patched it. My baby would have sewn the hole better... Now they say I can't receive any compensation because they fixed it! First, my daughter and I walked into your establishment with two bags of laundry. We were looked at as if we were crazy for coming into your cleaner/laundromat with dirty clothes!? Then when I mentioned I had a $10.00 coupon if you check in on YELP, your manager said "No. we don't use Yelp". She asked my daughter where she was moving. Asked her how old she is. And which church she went to!? We could fit our laundry into two bags; however, she made us use three bags. She exclaimed "the owner doesn't have a good heart but I do". Twice. Then the "found" a coupon and applied it to show she "had a good heart".... me and my daughter feel verbally assaulted and will never return. Awful. read more

Clothes were cleaned and ready on time. That's about it. Attention to details such as pleats or other notes not acknowledged. I did have a feeling that was going to happen considering the young lady didn't write anything down, said "ok," and threw the clothes in the pile. What a dishonest company, on Monday saw that my normal cleaners was closed due to their employees having Covid and that it would take 2/3 weeks to get my shirts back, so went to this Comet Cleaners location around the corner because I needed my shirts cleaned pressed before I leave Saturday and was told it would cost me $3.47 per shirt to laundry/press. Then today I go pick them up and a majority of my shirts I was charged $5.97 instead of the $3.47! Questioned them and was told any shirts not 100% COTTON THERE IS AN EXTRA SERVICE CHARGE OF $2.50 TO PRESS, which I was not told that on Monday otherwise I would have not left them there. What a RIPOFF business and will never go there again, so people "BEWARE" of COMET CLEANERS new scam of extra charging with out informing clients! Will never go to this dishonest business again!! This is probably the worse laundry and dry cleaning experience I have ever encountered. I was first given a handwritten ticket because the computers were down. The cashier strangely struggled on how to spell " Ingram " Ingum, England, Ingrum. I showed her my license and she still spelled it wrong two more times before I wrote the ticket myself. They don't wash and fold by the pound it's a flat $50 plus you must buy their branded and bag for the laundry services. I had clothing missing, clothing that was improperly laundered, and cashiers that were incompetent with a rude manager Pat that was aggressive and threatening. They also don't honor the YELP coupon here. And stated that a manager could only apply the coupon. I then asked to call the manager. Her manager said " I work 60-70 hour weeks and don't have time to be applying coupons " then asked if I was traveling or would be a continued customer (as if that should matter. The cashier hung up on the manager, Pat rolled her eyes then called on Jesus and started talking about religion and kindness. I would never come back. Over the last year they have broken lots of buttons, misplaced clothing items, and often not had clothing done in a timely manner. Unfortunately I gave them one more chance and they ruined a brand-new suit. As previous reviews have stated the manager is very unprofessional and insist it's not their fault. If you care about your clothes I can't recommend taking them here. read more

This is a great cleaners to bring your clothes. They care about your clothes and will always let u know their opinion on particular garments. Pretty disappointed in this business. Decent attention to detail on my 2 suits & tux, but nothing too special. They also decided to throw away the original wood hangers that originally came with the suit, which threw me off since most dry cleaners either give them back to you when dropping clothing off. I was very disappointed when I took a sweater to Comet Cleaners in Nov/Dec 2017 and specifically mentioned that I was looking forward to getting back a clean sweater with no pilling on it. Gave New owner too many chances, first he started charging me more for certain shirts, threatened to stop going and corrected pricing but never gave me a credit for the over charges then now the last two times I have had shirts missing and again with no remorse nothing but I am sorry!! He made the comment he is cheapest in Lafayette but if overcharging customers and then loosing their clothes with nothing but a sorry and no corretive action like a reimbursement that is SAD, to say the least I suggest find a better cleaners with good customer service!! read more
