As of recently I've had a bad experience in this location in which I had previously complained…read moreabout with the manager from this branch today my experience was not the best as she made an excuse as in why I could not cash my check which made no sense I me r had their so called amount needed on my account in order to cash my checks. Today I'm not sure why she made me feel very uncomfortable as if I'm bringing a check that has never been cleared from my work I've cashed my checks here for a year now and this is the first time I get a negative feedback/response from this lady. When I asked her if the change of policy was recent she said no so I was confused why for an entire year she cashed my checks with no hesitation then why would she mention it was a recent change and then take her words back and say it's been a policy they had this entire time ?? and on top of that today she was acting very strange I even saw her dismiss the other teller so she would not help me and addressed me by my first name thing she never did before in the times I've came here. Honestly I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life like I did today. I think I might have to switch banks since this is becoming and issue I'd say be very mindful in opening an account there these ladies will be nice one minute and the next act like you are committing a crime with your own money which is not ok!!

First I was told I needed to keep $1000 in my savings account so I immediately transferred $1000 into my savings account and continued getting the "fee deduction" - $15 monthly fee from my checking account in June-October. I've messaged Bay Fed via email FIVE times through the app, and returned to the branch TWICE in person to find out how to avoid the fee. In June I was told "oops it needs to be $1000 in your checking account not savings". What?! So I immediately transferred to $1K over to checking in June 2022. Monthly fees continued. I'm now owed $45. My last message sent to them on Saturday has not received a response yet. Frustrating. Also, hold firm on your loan quote from them.

I had to wait in line almost forty minutes just to cash my paycheck. The one teller finishes with a customer and just disappears to the back room, not caring if there's fifteen or twenty people in line, which is normally how it is. It seems like they don't give a hoot about people's time, and it feels like they want to make your day miserable. I'm pretty sure they can afford to hire one or two more tellers, it's a big bank!

Very slow process, even when they tell you that "they are working on it" which is not true. I sent them a document, which they needed to request access to, and it wasn't until we called them almost 3 weeks later that they even attempted to open it. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere. Update: Thank you Mary Anne for your response. I do take responsibility for not asking how long it would take. Although I do not agree that 3+ months should be considered an appropriate amount of time, if that's your policy, then it was my mistake for choosing this institution. I just know that once we asked to speak to the supervisor (which we were never sent the information for as they had promised) did they start working on our file. Maybe letting prospective clients what to expect should be something that should be taught to your representatives to let your clients know up front. Most of the time we are new to this and don't know the specifics other than we are trying to get an sba loan.

5-Star Review: Made the Impossible Possible for My Family…read more There's just sooooo much to say!!! I'm beyond grateful for the outstanding service we received from Watsonville branch Santa Cruz Community credit union throughout many years. At a time when we felt stuck and unsure of how to move forward, they stepped in and made what seemed impossible, possible. We first worked with them to secure a car loan, and the process was smooth, straightforward, and handled with care. They took the time to explain everything, answer our questions, and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way with a very low interest rate! Later on, when our financial situation changed, the bank didn't turn its back on us--they stepped up again. They worked with us on refinancing and created a solution that helped us stay afloat. Thanks to their flexibility, compassion, and true commitment to helping families, we were able to keep our vehicle and get back on stable ground. They also offered a skip a payment which came in handy during the holidays!!!! This is what a real community bank looks like--one that cares about people, not just numbers. Thank you, SCCCU!!!for being a true partner to my family when we needed it most. I want to sincerely thank Jessica Gonzalez at SCCCU for going above and beyond to help clear up a major error on my credit report. A past loan was mistakenly reported as a charge-off, even though it had been paid as agreed. This error was hurting my credit and causing unnecessary stress--but thanks to Jessica, it was corrected quickly and professionally. They didn't just brush it off or pass me around. Instead, Jessica took ownership of the issue, investigated thoroughly, consistently, and treated me with respect and empathy. This kind of care and accountability is rare these days, and it reminded me why banking locally--with people who genuinely care--makes all the difference. Thank you again, Jessica, for your integrity and outstanding service. You made a lasting impact on me and my credit future. ALSO!!!!!! I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the amazing team at SCCCU for their outstanding service and support with my car loan. From start to finish, every staff member I worked with was kind, professional, and truly dedicated to helping me succeed. They really are there to help community members and my family and I are soooo grateful for their efforts, support & caring service towards us throughout the years. Even through our financial challenging times they were there for us and gave us hope and assurance. Working with us through our struggles they made it happen!!!!!! We can NOT thank you guys enough!!!! WE CANT!!! God bless all you and we pray for more families get the help they need through your powerful act of kindness you provide!! What really stood out was how well the entire team worked together--communicating clearly, answering all my questions, and guiding me through each step of the process with patience and care. They made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and even empowering. Thanks to their teamwork from Watsonville staff to Santa Cruz branches staff also!!!!working together and commitment, I was able to get the loans!!!! Purchased one car then got another, then a personal loan then refinanced both loans into one and everything was just so amazing with peace of mind!!!!.... I'm so grateful to be part of a bank that not only offers great service but also genuinely cares about its community and customers. Looking forward to a home loan in the near future!!!!! Thank you all for making this possible--you're the reason local banking still matters! From our family to yours Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
