Trusting him, I paid in full on March 3rd before any services were rendered. What followed was a frustrating pattern of cancellations, extreme tardiness, scheduling blunders, and outright disrespect for our time. Appointment #1 (March 14): I texted Luis an hour before our scheduled 10:00 AM session to confirm who was coming. He cancelled on the spot, claiming the instructor was ill. Cancelling an hour before the first lesson after taking full payment upfront raised immediate red flags. Appointment #2 (Rescheduled to March 21 - 1 Hour Completed): Confirmed at 8:41 AM for 10:00 AM. By 10:03 AM no one was here. Jordan texted saying he was an hour behind schedule, delaying our entire family's day. Appointment #3 (March 29 - 2 Hours Completed): The instructor showed up on time. Appointment #4 (August 22): Scheduled for 8:00 AM, ahead of my child's DMV exam on August 28th. I texted Luis at 7:31 AM to confirm, only for him to admit he mistakenly put us down for August 29th--a day after her test. Appointment #5 (Rescheduled to Wednesday, August 26 - ~1.7 Hours Completed): Forced to take a 6:00 PM slot on a school night. At 6:00 PM, Jordan texted saying his ETA was 6:40 PM. He pulled over twice during the lesson to take personal phone calls outside the car and brought her home at 8:25 PM, shorting her course time. To cap off the total lack of integrity, I realized we were shorted on hours. Adding up the actual logged sessions (March 21: 1 hr, March 29: 2 hrs, August 26: ~1.7 hrs), we only received ~4.7 hours of the 6 hours paid for. I have no record of any 1-hour May session ever being scheduled or completed. When I texted Luis asking for the dates of service on his records to cross-check, he shut me down completely, stating: "We signed you off for the 6 hours the program is completed." I have screenshots documenting this entire paper trail. I will admit that by the final session my tone was snappier than usual, but after endless delays, shorted hours, and zero accountability, any parent's patience would be exhausted. How this company has managed to stay in business this long is shocking. If they cannot reliably service the Downey area, they shouldn't take on new customers just to collect payment upfront. Save yourself the immense headache and take your business elsewhere.

guess where i spent the better part of my saturday today? from 7:45 in the morning to 4 o'clock in…read morethe afternoon? the seventh layer of HELL! a.k.a traffic school. joy, uh? it was bad, i'd forgotten how bad it can be. sitting on a chair idly for so long, with all sorts of people that just make you want to roll your eyes so far back you bend time and space. HOWEVER, as traffic schools go, this one was cheap and as much as i dislike sitting idly for so long, the professor was great, the movies were funny, and overall the urge to commit mass murder did not arise at all. plus, did i mention it's cheap? 27 buckaroos. there is plenty of parking and plenty of places to eat during lunch(aside from my house that is only three blocks away from the school!) like quiznos, panda express, IHOP, and KFC. all within walking distance. the place is very clean, the chairs are ok, but the comfort level of the chairs can be attributed more to the time spent sitting on them than anything else. the instructor sticks to his guns time wise. no one was inside the building after 4:01pm. he promised this to be the case and coordinated class so it was made possible. nothing beats a promise delivered to on a silver platter folks.

'you are a hazard to the road, whether you are aware of this fact or not...DAMN YOU TO HELL BAD ASIAN DRIVER!!".. ok. maybe i slightly exaggerate the last part. as i finally drag my procrastinating ass to sign up for traffic school, i slowly peruse the many..MANY schools available for in-person-required-12 hour traffic school. that's right kiddies. TWELVE hours. lucky for me. Ben G. drives a fast car, and fast cars get tickets. and good friends with fast cars, who get tickets, are nice of enough to spend 8 hours of traffic school with yours truly. YES. i obviously chose this because it's called CHEAP traffic school. 8am- 4 pm baby. they changed locations on us last minute, but the classes were not cancelled. (if they were, i would've raised hell). there were about 18-20ish people in the class. everyone looking dreary, with automatic coffee cups glued to hand. 8 hours- 30 bucks, 12 hours (in two sessions)- 35 bucks. CASH only folks- san gabriel style. so how was it? well. it was painful to some extent ... ie sitting on my butt for so long, while trying to salvage what was left of my neck. but i enjoyed the slightly agitated half cat-sounding groans coming out of Ben G. every 20 or so minutes. but i must honestly say, this being my first time in actual physical traffic school. (vs online), it was alright. actually. seriously! i found myself in a situation akin to being in a southern baptist church on a sunday afternoon. our instructor, still very much passionate for his work, after 19 years, would at times be bouncing off the walls, screaming "and you NEED to change my people, you NEEEEEDDDD SALVATION, to SAVE YOURSEEEEEEEEEEEEEELFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF... from bad driving". wtf. then there were moments where he shared the death of his brother, his mother, and how we were all going to DIE. so you better find a driver who can drive sober to your funeral.... after this, he would talk in an Steve Erkel-esque voice. it was really. really. entertaining. and did you KNOW if you rinsed your mouth with mouthwash, your breathalyzer test would be 0.01 already. (which is illegal under 18). and i LOVED his big yellow plastic sign he posted on the wall. i stared at it so many times, it's burned into my brain . CHEAP TRAFFIC SCHOOL why settle for less, when you can get the best. ROD SAVANT. #18000691 rod savant rocks. dudes. and since your ass gonna be there anyways... why not get one that screams and hollars like a southern baptist pastor? bring your meals. he's strict about you coming back to the appropriate times. bring a jackets, ben g. was a popsicle by the end of one session. you get three breaks. 10-10:10, 12-12:45pm, 2:00-2:10. you have to arrive at 7:45am. like i said. it's as good as it gets. the next best thing is to drag a malcontent friend with you so you can exchange notes and smirks in class. yep. just like high school... all over again. (minus one star? BECAUSE IT'S TRAFFIC SCHOOL PEOPLE!!!) side note: you have to call them and make the appt over the phone, and they will set you up with a location appropriate/close to you. when you get the certificate, you should hand it back to the court in person to avoid unnecessary bullshiz.

Getting popped for a moving violation and then having to attend traffic violator school is about as…read moremuch fun as being bludgeoned with a frozen beaver or getting poked in your last good eye with a souvlaki skewer. At least now you can do it online in the privacy of your own home at your own pace rather than spend eight hours in some comedy traffic school where every class clown in attendance is (or at least thinks he is) funnier than the instructor. So choosing an online traffic school over the in-person variety is sort of like getting a sigmoidoscopy instead of a colonscopy. It's all nasty, painful business, but getting to choose the least intrusive and agonizing option is a plus. And to continue this metaphor (which is rapidly transforming into a simile), picking your online traffic school is like being able to pick the most gentle doctor for the procedure. Let's be honest. There's no such thing as a "Fun Time" when you do traffic violator school, but I have to say that Fun Time made what is at best an annoying and boring experience into what was, dare I say, nearly enjoyable... The price was great, the site was easy to use, and when I had a question about how my completion certificate was going to be delivered to the court, I actually got a REAL, LIVE, FRIENDLY person on the phone who could answer my question.
