SOC Driving School instructed both of my kids (one by Travis who is no longer with them, and the other by Adam) and they both passed on their first driving test. They are VERY fairly priced, always punctual, easy to communicate, super friendly, and I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a driving school. While certain other school(s) may flaunt fancy cars and former law enforcement instructors, SOC is highly competent in their own right. Beyond driving school, I'd recommend looking into B.R.A.K.E.S. Teen Driver's Training (putonthebrakes.org) to put them through some great evasive and defensive practices. read more

GO WITH THIS SCHOOL AND ASK FOR MAHSHID. You won't regret it. Worth it and at good price. I passed my driving test on the first try after training with Mahshid. She is an absolute boss and awesome coach. I started out not knowing anything, nervous to get on a road, to confidently driving on big roads in less than 30 minutes. I gained a lot of confidence in driving after training with her. I signed up for three sessions and was able to go on the highway by the third one. And she has a lot of experience and knows what will show up on the test, more than you'd find online. Very happy and grateful I came to this school and met Mahshid. 100% recommend. I would highly recommend SOC to any parent out there looking for a safe, strong instructors and a seamless process. I'm not sure who owns this service but they are doing an unbelievable job. The entire journey from google search to website to onboarding and appointment to certification was very organized, clear and intuitive. I will be using SOC for my middle son as well. read more

I completed three behind-the-wheel lessons and the driving test package with Reza (714) 244-9912. During the first lesson, he patiently instructed me on stop signs and making right turns on red lights. In the second lesson, he focused on teaching me how to maintain proper car distances for timely stops, and he also guided me through my first experience on the freeway to alleviate any fears I had. During the final lesson, he took the time to review all the buttons in the car, refresh my understanding of hand signals, and trained me to maintain a consistent speed with the posted limits. On the day of the driving test, Reza picked me up an hour early to assist with paperwork at the DMV and to ensure I was comfortable with the vehicle. The next thing I knew, I had passed the driving test on my first attempt. Many thanks to Reza for his excellent instruction and support throughout the process! read more

Our experience with SOC Driving School and Driving Instructor, Adam, was wonderful. Adam was alway extremely punctual, super friendly and encouraging with our teen daughter. He made her feel confident and gave her so much helpful information. Hemade scheduling very easy as he is very receptive and quick to respond. After our daughter had her permit, she was required by law to have 3, 2-hour lessons with a driving instructor. She was not allowed to drive with parent/guardian until after the 1st lesson. Then she was allowed to drive with parent/guardian. We split the lessons up so that she had one lesson at beginning, another about 1/2 way through required hours of practice and the last just before her driver's test. Payment was not due until the last lesson too. :) I called other schools in area and found SOC to be the most reasonable price. Our daughter passed her exam today...THANKS ADAM & SOC!! read more

Adam is amazing! My daughter just passed her behind the wheel test after finishing her lessons with Adam. We can't say enough good things about him! He is calm and encouraging and made my daughter feel relaxed and confident. He really prepares his students for the actual test at their specific DMV too. You will not regret working with Adam! Travis was my instructor for all 6 hours of my driver's training. For every appointment we scheduled he was on time and ready to go. He was incredible to drive around with, making me feel comfortable while also being a great teacher. He would point things out to me and also gave a reason as to why I would want to correct those things. His car was always in great condition and felt great to drive. Overall, everything was amazing. Travis was understanding, knowledgeable, fun, and great to work with. I believe I passed my driver's exam today because of Travis' incredible effort to make a new driver better. read more

SOC Driving School was the absolute BEST choice for us! Adam instructed both of my children prior to their driving test & they both passed on their first attempt. They each took three 2 hour sessions with Adam and he was always on time, communicative, patient, and knowledgeable. My daughter & son really enjoyed his outgoing personality! I love that he took the time after each session to meet with me to praise them on what they did well & guide them on what they needed to work on. I admire the fact that they do not charge for the lessons until after they are completed...it helped me trust them even more because I've read about other schools charging upfront & not delivering as promised. SOC is super affordable, trustworthy, dedicated, professional, and I highly recommend their services! Don't forget to tip your instructor too...they work really hard & deserve it :) read more

I am a very anxious driver and I had very little driving experience prior to my lessons with SOC driving school, but my instructor, Ghada, was such an amazing teacher that I was able to alleviate a lot of my anxieties with driving. Ghada is a very calm and patient passenger, and delivers instructions and reminders in such a way that makes sure you don't get stressed. If you don't have your own car, there's no need to worry, since they'll come to you and even let you rent their car for the behind-the-wheel test if needed. Personally, I like to know what the general goals are for each lesson, so if you're curious, here's the layout: lesson 1 has you familiarize yourself with the car/road and has you switch lanes at least once. Your instructor has their own brake and knows how to operate the wheel from the passenger seat, so you don't have to stress too much about messing up if your first lesson is your first time driving. The second lesson takes you through the Laguna Hills DMV driving test route, and your instructor will help your work out any bad habits you may have. The last lesson, which should be after a few weeks of personal driving practice, has you go on the freeway. I didn't see many reviews talking about the specifics of the lessons, so I personally asked Ghada about our goals for each lesson. She is a quick responder over text if you have any questions, which is something I appreciated! If you're nervous about driving, but are hyperaware of the need to drive in California, I would 100% recommend Ghada and SOC Driving school to help you out. read more

S O C was a lifesaver for me. I needed someone to teach my son the basics and I don't have the nerves or patience to do it myself so I researched a few driving schools in the area. S O C offered the most flexibility and best price. They let you break up the payments and the ease of booking your behind the wheel time was fantastic. My son really liked his instructor and made him feel at ease behind the wheel. After his second day of training I decided to let my son drive me to my destination and he did an awesome job....still had a ball of nerves and doubt that will change for a while, but he did great. The school also offers the vehicle for the DMV test at an additional and affordable price. I plan on paying this so that my son can use it for his test day. I would recommend their services for anyone no matter age that needs behind the wheel training. read more

This was our first experience with SOC Driving School, so we weren't sure what kind of approach the instructors would have. I remember my sister telling me that she was anxious to start driving and didn't feel very confident. Thankfully, her instructor Ghada was very patient and helped to ease a lot of her worries. I have no doubt that she will do well under Ghada's supervision. read more

I had a two hour training session and a behind the wheel dmv appointment with Khalid. It was an amazing experience and I passed the test :) He was friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything exceptionally well. He was patient and answered all my questions. Everything was pitch perfect about SOC. Getting started was easy, setting appointments was easy, and there were zero surprises. Travis was a fantastic instructor, and my daughter learned a lot at each lesson. She was extremely well-prepared for the test, and passed easily. Most importantly for me, Travis was a great communicator. He replied to texts right away, which was critical because our schedule was always a bit in flux. He was super flexible on pickup points. Travis also went out of his way to give comprehensive feedback on my daughter's progress. Bottom line is that both the teenager and her dad were 100% happy. read more

Travis was my son's instructor. He was on time, professional, friendly, and taught well. My son passes the driving test on a rainy day.

I highly recommend SOC Driving School. My experience with this company was excellent. The owner Ken accommodated me at last minute notice and worked with me thoroughly to ensure that I was prepared for the driving test. Travis Cox is a personable and professional driving instructor. I don't have enough good things to say about the day of the test. He walked me through every step of the way. I felt calm and comfortable from start to finish. Thanks! read more

SOC Driving School and Travis are absolutely amazing. Travis got my wife test ready in less than 4 weeks which is absolutely amazing. Not only did he get her ready for the test, he got her ready for real world driving as well. She was able to pass the test with flying colors in 5 weeks from the first time I took her out and put her behind the wheel in a parking lot by our house a week before Travis took over, and now she is driving all around by herself on the highway, mountain roads, city roads, and downtown LA roads. She couldn't have done it without Travis. Travis deserves a raise and bonus he's amazing. I highly recommend anyone send their student driver to SOC and ask for Travis! Thanks Travis!!!! read more

I found SOC when looking for options for my daughter, a first time driver. Their online program was awesome...very informative and not (too) boring. My daughter finished this and got her permit with no problems. Then the scary part...the behind the wheel instruction! I was so nervous for her but then Adam showed up and made me (as well as my daughter) feel very relaxed and at ease. I felt so safe knowing she was in good hands! She loved him and everything went great! She said he was very chill and always gave positive feedback. He was also super flexible with scheduling and always on time. I just can't say enough! And today...she passed her driving test! Thank you Adam and SOC Driving School! **Someone asked for the cost: Online driving school is free - Behind the wheel was $289 for 6 hours, broken into 3 sessions. My daughter just finished her final 2 hour driving session with Travis. Travis was the best. He is very thorough and professional. I've used SOC driving school for both my daughters and couldn't recommend a better company! They are kind, knowledgeable and beyond responsive! Adam is AMAZZING! This is the only driving school anyone could ever need!! read more

My 91 year old father failed his driving test. I contacted SOC, and asked them for someone specializing in senior citizens. Ken assigned himself, because that is his specialty. We agreed on a two hours package. Ken came to our house, and drove with my father to the DMV, and took my father on the same route that DMV instructors do. When they came back, I asked my father how it was, and my very hard to please father said that it was excellent. Because my father did not use the entire two hours, Ken volunteered to meet us the next day, and half hour before the test to do one more rehearsal run. I observed that Ken was knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging, polite and assertive. My father passed his test! Thank you Ken and SOC! read more

SOC Driving School - Yummy treat from my instructor, Ken, for passing my driving test. - Driving Schools Near Me - Laguna Hills, California

Both of my kids, son & daughter, took their driving lessons with Adam. He is extremely patient and makes them comfortable while driving. I chose SOC because of the reviews they have here on Yelp. Got my driver's card today and I want to add my own review. Initially, I was very intimated about driving but my instructor Adam was very patient with me. He's amazing! He helped me build my confidence and would always encourage me with positive feedback. I had a very pleasant experience with this school. Rate is reasonable and they're all very Professional. I highly recommend them. My daughter passed her BTW driving test, Travis did an awesome job and showed her all tricks. I highly recommend SOC driving school

I took the 6 hour driving lesson from the school. I have never driven a car before and Mr. Khaled training me for the first class while Adam training me for the next two classes turned the tables around. They were so understanding of my fears and lack of confidence. They were very patient and excellent trainers. Adam is the best and the sweetest person to learn from. If you are new to driving and need to gain confidence as well as learn to drive safe and good, SOC training school is the place. Do remember to practice just like they ask you to. It does help a lot. I am so so glad I learnt from you guys. read more

Highly recommend this driving school, Adam was my instructor, passed the test with his help!

My son passed his behind-the-wheel today on the third try, and we attribute it in large part to instructor Ken of SOC Driving, whom we hired after the second failed test. My son was very insecure about his driving after that second test. A few years earlier, I had hired a school with many retired cop teachers for my daughter, and I didn't feel her instructor's gruff style was going to help my son. Ken of SOC, on the other hand, was very kind and supportive and helped my son build confidence in his driving back up. Ken took him on repeated trial runs of the test in Laguna Hills so that he could prepare for any possible surprise or fluke like the two that occurred on his previous tests. I could see real improvement in his lane change and scanning skills after his first two sessions. Ken deemed my son's driving "perfect" after his third training session -- which gave him that boost he needed going into the very nerve-wracking third test. Ken happened to be at the DMV with another student while my son took the test. When my son got out of the car with a pass, I think Ken was as happy for him as we were! read more

***** 10 Stars ***** (if I can) I highly recommend SOC Driving School to anyone who needs to pass DMV test! My niece who is 18.5 went with another school at first and failed due to the school unprofessional management who sounded younger, never met the owner. Late arrival (30 mins late) on test day due to wrong address excuse etc. SOC is very professional, helpful and accommodating for short notice. The owner, Ken, is mature, experienced and skillful. He met us at his office on short notice, waited for us at the DMV. What a different experience! Thanks for being a professional driving school! read more

I can not say enough good things about this group. When I made the initial call, the guy I got was super friendly and helpful. My son's instructor was Travis and he did an outstanding job. We did four 2-hour lessons and after the first three, I started driving with my son pretty regularly and the difference was amazing.
