Comal is a solid option if you're staying at the Chileno Bay property and don't feel like venturing out. We stopped in most mornings for something quick, but dinner stood out much more than breakfast. If you're choosing just one meal, I'd go for the nighttime views and make a reservation to avoid getting stuck waiting. We've tried their Enchiladas, Ribeye, country potatoes side, Kampachi, Shrimp & Lobster Tostada, Smoked Tuna Tostada, "Callo de Hacha," Kumiai Oyster, "Costeño Style" Red Snapper, Mixed Tomato Salad, Short Rib "Doraditas," Green Rice with Chile Poblano, Wild Mushroom side, and Mexican Street Corn side. I'd happily order the Kampachi on repeat and the wild mushrooms were so, so good.

Dining at Comal was an unforgettable experience. Located atop a cliff at Chileno Bay Resort, the setting is absolutely stunning and picturesque! The hospitality was top tier from the moment we arrived. Our server, Yobani, was amazing. He not only provided excellent service but also took the time to get to know us a little, which added such a thoughtful personal touch. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and it really felt special. The food and drinks were phenomenal. We started with the rib eye quesadilla, which was flavorful and delicious. For my main course, I had the grilled blue shrimp with black garlic. Chef's kiss!!! To end the night, the chocolate tart with salted caramel ice cream was perfect. Everything from the ambiance, to the service and courses were exceptional.

AMAZING food, AMAZING ambiance! We ordered a ton of small plates to share and everything was so delicious. We actually liked the small plates more than the mains! All of our drinks were delicious as well. We sat outside and the weather and view were perfect. Very friendly staff and beautiful property!

Best culinary experience of my life. This is a top 5 restaurant I've been to EVER. If you're in Cabo and have the budget, you MUST try it. First of all, the ambience is amazing. This resort is designed so well and the views are great. The service is also great here. Most importantly, the food is AMAZING. I got the Lomo Saltado, which is originally a Peruvian dish. I've tried plenty of Lomo Saltados before, including in Peru itself, but this was the best take on Lomo Saltado I've ever seen. The meat was so tender and the sauce was so flavorful. Would definitely recommend trying this! The churros for dessert was awesome. The presentation is super cool and was super fun to share with the table. Don't get me wrong, this place is NOT cheap at all but the dining experience is amazing. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Cabo.

Chilaquiles!! What I had every morning.

The first night of our stay we had dinner at Comal. Delicious!! Everything was amazing. In the evening the restaurant vibe is really sexy and during the day it's pretty casual. The bar was able to make me a lychee martini. I don't know how they made it but it was great. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had my breakfast here every morning. I ordered the same thing... Chilaquiles with salsa verde. You can't stay here and not have a meal at Comal. The service is top notch no matter what time of day you go.

Astounding views with excellent service. You can sit table side by the ocean and have such a memorable dining experience. To start I had an aperol spritz paired with the tuna tartare appetizer. Both were fresh and phenomenal. For my main course I had the chicken mole dish. The mole was fruity and unique in the best ways. To finish we split the churros. They really hit the spot and I highly recommend them with the caramel sauce. The views, service, and quality of each dish is well worth the price point. This is a must while you are in Cabo.

What a wonderful restaurant. Expensive- yes. But best service, food, vibes and experience I've had in the area. Instead of bread and butter, they serve you homemade tortillas with avocado spread. Then we got an appetizer that was served with plantain tortillas. Entrees were the Comal grill and the grilled fish- high quality food, best fish I've ever had. They also had a band playing that were extremely talented. Highly recommend.

We took a trip over from our hotel (Esperanza) to Chileno Bay and decided to eat breakfast at Comal. The views and decor are absolutely stunning. The hostess and wait staff are incredibly friendly. The place was busy, and it took us about 20 minutes or so to be seated. Once we were seated it did take some time for them to bring menus, bring water, refill water, take orders, bring out the orders, etc. Really, the dining experience was 3 stars, but the views and decor make up for it. My food was okay; definitely not as flavorful as the food we were eating at Esperanza every day, but the presentation was nice. If you have plans post-meal, then give yourself enough time just in case they are super busy.

Service: Great! Views and Live music: Magical! Food: Delicious! Price: half of the typical fine dining in the resorts! Everybody I met here recommend this restaurant and it is worth it! Best in Los Cabos!

Wagyu barbacoa

By far one of our favorite restaurants in Cabo! The food, service, and views were spectacular. The wagyu barbacoa & snapper were both fantastic. If you like spicy ask for their hot sauce, it's definitely got a kick! After dinner you can enjoy a drink by the fire pit. Can't wait to go back!

Cinnamon iced coffee

Came here for breakfast. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I tried the cinnamon iced coffee and I think I know why people drink coffee. It was so good, with a nice think foam and kind of tasted like horchata. They start with a lemon English muffin and fresh butter which was amazing. My husband got the chorizo omelet which comes with a side of bacon, potatoes, whole black beans and a salad. I got the baja burrito which was really good and came with refried black beans, my absolute favorite. Great way to start the day and then head down to Chileno afterwards for a day in the sun with your stomach fully placated.

An absolutely stunning restaurant at Chileno Bay Resort. The food was delicious and the ambience was incredible. Live music, waves crashing in the distance, beautiful views - it doesn't get better than this. We had the following dishes and loved every single one. Listed in order of my preference: - bluefin tuna crudo - chocolata clams - mix of seafood in 2 clam shells. - kanpachi and bupati - totoaba ceviche - shrimp and lobster tostada - homemade churros with hot chocolate - this is huge! Portions for 4 people. - totoaba collar - lomo saltado - bone marrow

This area has a cozy fire pit area for lounging and hanging out with friends and is surrounded by small tables for romantic dinners or larger tables for groups. Either way it is romantic and the backdrop is a spectacular fountain with 3 whale tails as sculptures! The music is clubby and fun! Tonight our sever was Thomas and he was so good! He greeted us shortly after we sat down and got our drink orders. . He also told us at this point all the specials for the night. He gave us time to think over our choices and came back with the cocktails to get our orders. Then he coursed out everything perfectly. We started with tonights special of Toro and added Hamachi off the menu. Those were spectacular not only in presentation but taste! and the fish extremely fresh! Three of the four of us had a shrimp and crab enchiladas, all the other had the grilled chicken. All the portions were perfect and very flavorful! Overall, everything about this restaurant was spectacular including the two cats that wander through the restaurant. They only come over if you invite them, and they are adorable. I'm not sure if they're there all the time but they were there tonight.

The only sit-down restaurant at the Hyatt Vacation Club at Sirena del Mar, Estrella serves all…read morethree meals of the day, each with a slightly different menu. Prices are comparable to other hotel restaurants, and the service and food quality was OK. We had spent the afternoon at the nearby beach until sunset, so ended up eating dinner a bit later than we got used to during our trip. Estrella has a large dining space, both inside and out. It was a bit humid to enjoy the outside, so chose to sit inside. There weren't many customers, so got identified quickly and seated. It was night, so the only views were of the lighted courtyard. Service was prompt throughout. The mango frozen margarita (MX$360) looked interesting so got one of those, along with a 1 L bottle of Fiji water (MX$170). I know I need to get used to paying for water for dine-in in Mexico, but only having Fiji available in the restaurant seems manipulative. The margarita was excellent. Our server recommended to us to get the special of the night: a three course meal with main entree of a trio of chicken, shrimp, and bacon-wrapped filet medallion (MX$741). I wanted to try seafood, so got the Tuna tower (MX$380). The first course (a really good spinach salad) and the tuna tower came out first. The tower was tasty...the chef had done a really good job of chopping all the ingredients into equal diced pieces; the fresh and delicious avocado put it over the top. The tuna quality was what it is...not great but didn't really mind. The main entree came a bit later, and my wife enjoyed it (we were both really hungry)... I got to sample some pieces. The shrimp was the best part, small size but perfectly grilled with just the right amount of salt to bring out the great shrimp flavor. The chicken was overcooked, resulting it being dry and a bit chewy. The beef was not great: it wasn't filet mignon, but another part of the loin. The bacon was an afterthought and didn't really impart any flavor, with the wooden toothpicks (to hold the bacon in place) still imbedded in the steak, which is just a mistake...a really good steak knife will cut right through it, and then you are eating wooden toothpick pieces imbedded in random steak bites. But the portions were good to be a filling meal, with a good mashed potato as base. We also got a thick chocolate mousse for dessert, which we enjoyed. Guests of the resort get a 'discount' card...ours was 10% off of food (not including alcohol) at resort restaurants. When I let our waiter know before our dessert came, our waiter strongly told me that 'specials' are not part of that, like I should have known that already. When the bill came, he pointedly showed me that he had correctly applied the discount to only tuna tower and water. He was right, but his attitude was wrong. We charged it to our room, gave a minimal tip, and left.

For a nice meal, you can't go wrong here! I went with the daily special because the server said it was very good and he was so right! She said it was like bbq but better. I preferred my garlicy chili beef while she preferred her enchiladas so both of us couldn't have left more satisfied. A jicama rosemary juice was also on special that day and also was very good! The seating area is outside under a white canopy to allow for enjoying the gorgeous weather you came to Cabo for. Every detail is pulled together well here with the blues, whites and splash of color using fresh flowers on the tables. The server was also very attentive but not hovering.
