I visited the Mitchell Hall at the Columbus State Community College for Ohio X AI Summit. The…read moreMitchell Hall is the home of School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts that was just built in 2019. Hoping that the event would be held at polished and corporate location, I was pleasantly surprised that this location lived up to my expectations. Ambiance: The Mitchell Hall is the state-of-the-art facility with modern architecture and plenty of natural light. The first floor features multiple kitchens, culinary labs, bakery, culinary theater, Degrees restaurant, Blend Café, and a boardroom. I walked around during the conference break curious about the interior. It's modern, contemporary, and clean. Most of my time was spent at the event center on the second floor. The campus is right in the heart of Columbus. The event center provides a panoramic view of downtown Columbus, and there's a nice balcony. The space conveniently welcomed us (hundreds of attendees), had a stage, and many networking nooks. I found it very convenient to have seating separate from the conference room to unwind. Parking: Multiple parking lots are available onsite. Each parking lot is clearly marked for intended users - students, faculty, or specific groups. QR codes can be conveniently scanned for parking, number of hours selected. It has to be the most modern parking system I have seen on college campuses. It was quite complex to find the parking lots closest to the events due to small font numeration system. I'd recommend this facility to anyone looking to host events. It provides enough seclusion from the downtown chaos and modern ambiance. It's a presentable location with versatile space options.

It's one of my hobbies, I been doing it for 6 years now. Maybe if they listened to both sides of the story, they would get a better understanding of the situation. Keep trying guys, keep trying.

Its hard ti believe this park was once the horrible parking lot for COSI! Not sure whom decided…read moreto relocate parking to below ground and make the old lot a lovely park full of interactive elements... but THANK YOU! Parking is accessed in the middle of the park (which is also in front of COSI). There are musical interactive stations, two out door ping pong tables. Two sets of concrete corn hole and a large playground for the kiddos. There are even swinging benches facing then parks green and a few lounge chairs. Its a pretty cute city park. The Junto Hotel faces it as well and there is a great coffee house (Maudines) inside if you need a drink or a snack!

On our recent visit, a lot of stuff was in bloom, which gave us the opportunity to fully appreciate several of the gardens that are at their peak now: the pollinator garden, the butterfly garden, and the rain garden, all of which also have accompanying signage. There's a nice large play area with some more unique play sets than typically seen at a playground, though it does offer swings and plenty of things to climb on. There are also benches and bench swings and a number of umbrella tables on the plaza for picnicking. There is a fountain water play section, though the water was off on our recent visit. A music garden offers fun interactive opportunities to try out a wide variety of musical instruments. There's also a very neat dinosaur sculpture garden that showcases fossil sculptures of a variety of dinos! A game area offers the chance to do some ping pong/table tennis or play corn hole. The Science Spectrum sculpture, whose "leaves" move around and catch the light, creating rainbow-y looks is a fun addition. This is a fun area to explore, and it is conveniently located in front of COSI, near the Scioto Mile.
