Parking is accessed in the middle of the park (which is also in front of COSI). There are musical interactive stations, two out door ping pong tables. Two sets of concrete corn hole and a large playground for the kiddos. There are even swinging benches facing then parks green and a few lounge chairs. Its a pretty cute city park. The Junto Hotel faces it as well and there is a great coffee house (Maudines) inside if you need a drink or a snack!

On our recent visit, a lot of stuff was in bloom, which gave us the opportunity to fully appreciate several of the gardens that are at their peak now: the pollinator garden, the butterfly garden, and the rain garden, all of which also have accompanying signage. There's a nice large play area with some more unique play sets than typically seen at a playground, though it does offer swings and plenty of things to climb on. There are also benches and bench swings and a number of umbrella tables on the plaza for picnicking. There is a fountain water play section, though the water was off on our recent visit. A music garden offers fun interactive opportunities to try out a wide variety of musical instruments. There's also a very neat dinosaur sculpture garden that showcases fossil sculptures of a variety of dinos! A game area offers the chance to do some ping pong/table tennis or play corn hole. The Science Spectrum sculpture, whose "leaves" move around and catch the light, creating rainbow-y looks is a fun addition. This is a fun area to explore, and it is conveniently located in front of COSI, near the Scioto Mile.

There is also a little free library (though it was empty on our recent visit - perhaps it is stocked during the school year?), a sand box type area, though it appeared to be filled with dirt (which my kid loves so it was a huge win), kid-sized picnic tables, a log seat and table combo, swings (traditional, tire, and accessible) and more. Personally, my wife and I are at the age that we don't use the park very often. However, when our grandkids were here this past weekend, they wanted to go to "that nice park" you took us to last time we were here (over a year ago). Millstone Creek Park offers a little of everything. Nice assortment of playground equipment; accessible; a variety of activities; sports fields; nature/wetlands area; picnic shelter and restrooms. Plenty of parking. My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a few more benches for the grandparents who bring their grandkids to the park.

The main playground by the shelter and the service building is big, with multiple areas, and is accessible for almost anyone- stairs on several sides, and a level access off to the right. There's a music machine, always popular. Lots of climbing stuff and slides. Some games. Musical areas, mazes, balancing stuff, and more. Shades on the top of most of it, though the slides can get hot. Also plenty of benches, though no shade for those. Dublin has a lot of good parks. This is right up there. Worth a detour if you have kids.

Park in either lot and walk around the building; it is not visible till you get all the way in back. Wooded, shady, with benches around, it is ideal for smaller children and anyone in a wheelchair. Lots of ramps and "bridges," many wheels and things to play with like tic tac toe boards, etc. A few slides and climbing areas. Baby K loved it, and when she fell, on the rubber "ground," she was fine and wanted to keep playing. A great playground, and with another nearby in the park, part of a 'two-fer' that we will surely be back to.

This is a lovely historic park just west of the Short North area. It's a bit hidden from High…read moreStreet (as you need to go one full block west before it's visible) and I only discovered it on my last day of attending a conference at the Downtown Columbus Convention Center. Lots of pluses at this park. First, if you're traveling with a dog and staying at the nearby Hampton Inn, this is your "go-to" destination for dog walks. Second, it has a pretty pond on the north side of the park with an elephant column and winding pathways around the center. Third, if you like jogging, I would suggest running along the perimeter of the park (some inner paths are narrow) to admire the historic Victorian homes surrounding the park. One downside is that I did see a homeless man sleeping on the ground in the middle of the park early on a weekday morning. He was not bothering anyone, but it made me think about what options for affordable housing and social services are available in Columbus.

I still enjoyed myself and took two loops around the curvy trail with very slight inclines and declines. There's a large play area for kids and a caboose set up on rails. This is park central for Hilliard P&R, with its main community center, its premier public pool, and…read morea variety of sport facilities in the eight-acre spread. Accessed from Scioto-Darby bordering its north, the park is tucked between neighborhoods, fields, and golf courses. Mark K. mentioned in his review circa 2015 that there was no easy bike connection between Homestead park and here. In the five years since that weakness has been rectified with an off-road bike path running down Lappert Rd. This is the way I cycled here. Just turn south from the Heritage Trail, left at the round-a-bout at Darby, and cross the street into the bike access. The park was eerily silent for the sunny summer Saturday I visited on my ride. Normally you'd expect the place to be jumping on such a gorgeous day, but the pandemic has damper things. Connected to that fact, the public pool here is closed for the year. Normally, the Family Aquatic Center, as it is called, would be full of swimmers using its leisure pool, sports pool, lazy river, slides, and children sections. Now it has a weird, abandon amusement park feel, with the rides sticking up like ruins over the wall, and ghostly echoes of screams, laughs, and splashes that should be here coming to mine in the quiet. What I call a 'sports park' the grounds hold fields for baseball/softball, lacrosse, soccer, and disk golf. Basketball courts and tennis are of course are found, as well as horseshoe ring. There is a small amphitheater and a large sledding hill half-mooning the grounds like a Native American mound. There are some art park landscaping here, especially near the fishing pond, a rustic body split by a wood bridge. There are several shelter houses here to rent. The running/riding trail isn't all that great, but it does breeze through the heart of the park. There are several connectors that leads to and from the surrounding neighborhoods. There is also a rustic food garden found here. On the east is a Veterans Memorial garden with colorful flowers, waving flags, and reflective stones ingrained with locals who gave the ultimate price. In all a good city park with lots of amenities, easy access, and just enough artwork to give it character.
