We were just there for the playground, which is medium-sized and loads of fun. Two structures, one castle-shaped and one a train. Plenty to climb on and play with. Baby K loved it. They wore themselves out. Decent-size park strung out along Nelson Road. Entrance is actually off Clifton, on the south side, so don't try to get in off Nelson. Big parking lot. A couple of shelters. A few basketball courts. Plenty of trees, plenty of green space, some benches scattered around. During the summer it is packed with family reunions, etc. On a warm weekday in December it wasn't busy at all.

Nelson Park is located along Alum Creek. It's not big but it has some nice facilities. There's a…read morepavilion that's good for picnics. It's also close to the creek. The park usually isn't that busy so you should be able to enjoy it. It's located pretty close to Bexley. It's on Nelson Road off Broad Street. The area is pretty safe, if not exactly the nicest. It's kept pretty clean though. The park has lots of good scenery, with it being near water. It's nice to walk along the creek. There's a pavilion that can be used as an eating area. It also has a small playground. There's basketball and tennis courts Nelson Park is good as a park. It has some nice facilities. There's some beautiful scenery along it too.

There are some tight rope kind of obstacles, some climbing things, a playset, like a monkey bar dome thing, picnic tables, etc. Sometimes there are unsavory characters hanging about, smoking cigarettes, seemingly visiting the hospital, other times there are kids playing. Kind of a mixed bag, which is par for the course on the near east and south sides. My hood!

On hot days like basically all this summer, we need a shaded playground so Baby K doesn't get scorched on the slides, and this is great. Some open space to run around, a small playground, next to the old library building. Nothing particularly special about it except the shade, but a nice addition to the neighborhood. Baby K did like the triple slide. Looks like people hang around the library building, so there is trash, and I kept an eye on the car.

Very well taken care of park. Plenty of running around space, workout equipment and even a walking…read moretrail. 4 different slides, 2 big kid swings and two harness swings. Nice parking area that can hold at least 30 cars. This area would be great for Easter egg hunts, little league practices and more. Daughter played for an hour straight completely entertained.

A workout area, pretty far from the playground and surrounded by a flock of geese. Some benches and picnic tables. But: two playsets, one big, one small. There is plenty of parking, a rec center, a pond, large open areas, basketball courts, etc. And three playgrounds! All together, three separate areas right beside the rec center. Baby K loved them, though it was so hot and sunny we couldn't stay long. We'll be back. A great park right in the heart of the city. Pretty clean, a wide variety of activities, just a gem.
