Original Review: My daughter started almost a year ago at LTBRS and she loves it. Her instructors (band and private lessons) are wonderful and she has learned so much. She started with singing and we have added piano. She is also part of their band program which is a great experience for the kids. When I was first researching singing lessons in our area I did look at a similar school right across the street to us but wasn't sold on it as it felt very corporate with a program that didn't feel at all flexible in my personal opinion. My daughter can work on the songs she chooses alongside the songs she sings for the band program at LTBRS and there are also opportunities for her to perform at Open Mic Nights as well. Something she really looks forward to. As for the piano it was something that took a while to get going, as learning the basics can sometimes be boring for kids, but her instructor has done a fantastic job moving her along and keeping it fun. She is now practicing all the time on her own as well which is great to see. The atmosphere and the owner is great. I'm glad we chose this school over the other options in the area.

Their teachers go out of their way to help students that aren't even their own! Incredible atmosphere here. As a business owner myself, what I can tell you is that if you miss the days in which the business owners will try everything in their power to help you, and for them to actually care about you, the customer - this is the place for you. What you will ultimately get out of doing business with them will be the best you can hope to get anywhere nearby. The one negative review I see here - the writer strikes me as an impossible to please and/or passive/aggressive kind of person - my gut tells me he's crafted an intentionally exaggerated one-sided story because he was unhappy when he found out that his piano was not worth as much as he was hoping. Phil is in fact very polite, professional and upfront, so something doesn't add up in this story. When you come here and actually meet with Nancy and Phil, you'll understand. Other competitors in the area are also run by good folks, but Nancy and Phil are outstanding and are head and shoulders above. Check their Google Maps reviews and you'll see more praise for them. Highly recommended.

It was finally sold on consignment after 2 years and several price reductions. The bad news is that they performed unauthorized repairs after the initial work, without explanation, which they then deducted from the balance paid out to the estate. Further, when I discussed this several times with Chris Greco, he assured me it should have been handled differently, and would issue a refund for that unauthorized work after discussing it with Linda. Months later I have no updates and no refunds as promised. I understand the work is specialized, but don't hide what you're doing. At this point I have lost any respect for the business and how they do things.

From our only five month experience, our kid can learn all the songs within couple weeks. After telling him that we decided to leave the school, we were told that we need to pay one more month tuition, and our kid didn't learn one new song. We then figured out he purposely cancelled our last lesson, which means we paid the whole last month tuition only with three weeks of class. I decided to write this review because I want to share our experience with everyone else. To be honest, I don't how he got voted as the best teacher in Howard County. Unfortunately the dream was snatched because this company did not complete the renderings until after the due date, which they were well aware of from the beginning. We had a 2 year relationship with this company and it was very disappointing that they took no ownership for what they did. I could not believe that they blamed their slow internet. They had spend an hour looking for it after I purchased it, and then they spend another 20 minutes looking for it after I arrived. To make it up to me they offered me a brand new version of the pedal at the mid point of the difference between the used one and the new one. I took that offer because it was a great deal.
