These guys are my heroes. I'm not even kidding, they totally saved me and then went above and…read morebeyond after that. Long story short, someone keyed my car and damaged my door lock a couple of years ago. I made the claim right away but then procrastinated on following through with the repairs (for which there is a 2-year time limit if you want it covered by your insurance). I figured I'd have all the time in the world to get it done but then suffered a health condition that took me out for the months leading up to my 2-year deadline. So there's me, trying to find an auto body shop that would take my car in for repair on less than a week's notice. I initially didn't realize how ridiculous of a request that was until I spoke to my insurance provider and then called a large number of other auto body shops. Turns out they all have a 6-week waiting list right now. I literally got laughed at when I called some auto body shops to ask if they could take me right away. But Boyd Autobody Richmond was sympathetic to my situation and agreed to take my car right away, despite how busy they are. I was already on cloud 9 and so incredibly grateful when I went in to pick up my car. But little did I know, they still had one surprise left for me. After paying my deductible and getting my keys, I walked out to my car to examine their work. It was perfect. I then jumped in my car, prepared to drive off, when I looked around and saw that my car was immaculately clean. I was shocked. To put this into perspective, my car has not been that clean in years. I have two huskies, both of which shed like you wouldn't believe and love to run through mud, as well as the sand at the beach after getting wet. And then they get in my car. I literally gave up on trying to keep my car clean years ago. And I'm pretty sure there was close to an inch of husky hair than had accumulated on the floor of my back seats, which I tended to ignore because I have a little 2-door BMW so it was hard to get to that area and I never really had to see it anyway. So let's just say, I was convinced my car would never be clean again unless I paid at least $500 for a professional to detail it. I in no way expected Boyd Autobody to clean the inside of my car like that...and BMW certainly doesn't do it whenever I've taken my car in for servicing (not that I can blame them, lol). But Boyd Autobody Richmond went above and beyond on that front. I don't even want to know how many hours it took the poor guy assigned that task to complete it. I was so impressed and grateful that I ran back inside and asked if I could give the guy who cleaned my car a tip. But they, with a smile, said no, it's all good, and they would pass along my thanks. I am never taking my car to another auto body shop again.

It looks great, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they even detailed the inside of my car without me ever asking! I bought a rear windshield wiper as mine needed replacing, and they charged me just their parts cost and installed it with no extra charge. I would highly recommend them. Although I hope to never have to use them again, I certainly would if I needed future glass repairs.

They put the glass in and asked me to the back to look at it and they said i should have taken it to a body shop well how am i supposed to know that which is why it was in the shop for like five hours. Why did they not call me when they knew it should go to the body shop and they tried to fix it themselves which even with the broken windshield it did not leak but because of them it now leaks like a siev. Thanks for making my life misserable and windshield deductable should be 200 but because they tried to fix the little dent which made it worse they charged me 300 so now i have to take it to someone WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING THANKS FOR NOTHING

Never having tint before I wasn't sure what to expect, and how much dust is acceptable for a tint job. After they came back to the dealer where I bought my car, the owner personally came to check things out and then gave me a detailed explanation of the tints. I was very happy he took time out of his day to come and speak to me and assured me that it wasn't Scorpion Predator but Scorpion Shield which was installed on the rear of my car. I was extremely picky about the dust in the tint and they did not have to redo any of the tints, because other tints done by other companies in the lot had 5-10x as much dust as the tint job they did, but redid them for me anyways. I'm extremely happy about their customer service and the time the owner of the company took to come here to speak with me in person to ensure that the tint they used had UV protection I had wanted. I will definitely be recommending them for tints in the future.
