I went home and looked at my insurance policy and I did have insurance. I called Dr. Monroe who said that my insurance does not cover them. It finally dawned on me that they were not in my network but Dr. Monroe would not tell me that as she wanted me to purchase their hearing aids. Beware when you go to them as they will not tell you that you are not in their network and try to sell you a high priced set of hearing aids. I went to Connect Hearing and Dr. Littlepage took excellent care of me and did a more thorough testing than Denton Hearing, and their hearing aids were only $1,990 for a pair and that is inclusive of 3 years maintenance!

I was so nervous to get a second opinion affraid that they would tell me the same thing. After the persistence of my friend, I drove over an hour to see him. And it was worth every mile. Once I was in the office he looked inside my ears (on a huge flat screen that was way cool) and he told me what he saw. Then stepped into the hearing booth. I have had various chronic ear issues going all the way back to 1960(!!), and so I have had quite a…read morenumber of ENT patient-physician. Since most of the issues are conditions I just have to live with, I have in recent years treated myself with OTC remedies and such. But the issues finally piled up to the point that I needed to see an ENT. My previous ENT, who was wonderful, had become so busy, I would't be able to get in to see him for almost three months. So I have begun looking for someone with a more open schedule. I read about Dr. Wyatt and saw good things written about him, so I checked with my PCP and he referred me to him, got me in in about two weeks and today was my big day. I filled out the paperwork in about 25 minutes, which was the most detailed I remember ever seeing, and went to the office , arriving about 15 minutes early. Upon checking in, I was given two additional forms by the receptionist, which had to do with several unscheduled procedures that might have to be performed during any given visit if the doctor considered them medically necessary. I was instructed to authorize the doctor to perform these procedures before I had even met him. When I asked the receptionist if that was their usual protocol, she said, I'm sorry, but you were here just fifteen minutes before your appointment. We don't have time for questions like this right now. We will have to reschedule or cancel your appointment if you want discussions about things like that. I was taken aback, but I really wanted to be seen, so I took a little bit different line of questioning and said, "Well, could you at least give me a ballpark figure about what these procedures might cost me (after Medicare and BC/BS)? I don't feel comfortable authorizing charges for unknown procedures when the staff cannot even estimate what the charges might be. It seemed like I was walking in to a used car dealership and asked to sign a sales contract for an unknown car at an unknown sales price with undetermined terms. I could go on, but I won't. And neither will I return to his office.

She takes her time and is extremely thorough. She listens to all your concerns and goes out of her way to help you and explain things so you understand clearly. She truly cares about you and suggests what is best for your health & quality of life. I have also had a VERY complicated sinus surgery with this practice combined with a rhinoplasty to reset my nose from a fall, and I could not be more thrilled with the results and thorough care prior and post-op. HOSPITAL DID NOT CARE AT All! LAST Involved Doctor, Issued an Order that he was concerned about possible Stent Blood Clotting that might be taking place! So he was NOT going to Release Me UNTIL he conducted ONE last Test "Just to be Sure". (Patient greatly Appreciated his Professionalism and CONCERN!) HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT, I'd give a "0"! After installing a Drug Coated Heart Stent, I was having some Negative Issues. Doctor told COMPETENT Nursing Staff that HE, due to Negative Symptoms Patient was Experiencing, that BEFORE I was to be Released, he wanted to conduct a last Test to verify I was NOT having any Blood Clotting Issues in new Stent. Had me NEEDLESSLY STAY, and PAY FOR, another 2 days! Day of Scheduled Test, later in day, 2 different CONCERNED Nurses came in and Asked if I had heard WHEN the Doctor was going to do his Test? Told them I have NOT HEARD ANYTHING! Later in day, another Nurse came in and asked the same question as the other 2. AGAIN, told her I had NO IDEA! She went to check on my Scheduled Heart Imaging and said she WILL FIND OUT and let me know! SHE NEVER RETURNED! Obviously, SOMEONE gave a "STAND DOWN ORDER" to let the Patient PASS. NEVER Told Nurses, nor PATIENT, that My Best Interest Concerns had been CANCELED! I was, and Still Am, Concerned about my Health and having even MORE Negative Issues that Appear to be related to New Heart Stent. Based on what I have read, I AM LIVING IN FEAR of having ANOTHER, Possibly FATAL, Heart Attack!!! GIVEN NO CHOICE but to Meet with a Personal Injury ATTY next week in case my Heart FAILS and for my Family to consult with!
