I had severe pain in my stomach and went to the ER as a walk-in at NYU Langone on 1st and 33rd…read moreStreet. The ER, like most city ER's, was jammed. with all rooms and hallways filled with patients. The wait time was longer than it should have been for my condition unfortunately. The CT scan revealed a blocked small intestine. I was given anti-nausea and morphine. I stayed in the ER overnight and surgery was performed the next day by Dr. Kevin Pei with minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Pei discovered that I had an intussusception intestine. He removed 43cm of my small intestine and reattached it with staples. I was then moved upstairs to a private room in the Kimmel building. The care by the surgical team and nursing staff throughout my six-day stay was outstanding along with their state-of-the-art technology. The practice is recognized as one of the best in the country and I certainly believe this to be true.

I should say I read a review that mentioned that Dr. Gingold had a cold hand, which must have been…read morea review for comedic relief because frankly, he has to wear gloves during his examination. So if it's cold, that could be the source, also a cold microscope probe could be another source for your sensitive area's lack of warmth, certainly not in the bedside manner of Dr. Gingold. I have been treated and examined by Dr. Gingold for over 10 years and I can say he is the best at what he does, with a very congenial bedside manner. He did my hemorrhoidectomy surgery about 7 years back and did a great job. I have always done my follow-ups with him. I just recently flew back to New York from my new home in Houston just to have an exam from him because he is very knowledgeable in the field, concerning preventive measures as far as potentially cancerous polyps are concerned. Read his newspaper article and his views concerning early attack of polyps. I highly recommend Dr. Gingold, but his schedule has been reduced lately to about 3 days during the week and surgeries are only on Fridays. So your chances of getting in to see this specialist is very tight. I also highly recommend Dr. Gottesman in that office also,I have seen him in the past and he has more availability. Hope this helps everyone in your search for well trained knowledgeable health professionals in treating and prevention measures when it comes to your healthcare. Thank you..and be well

My review got removed, cause according to the guidelines i didn't provide enough content…read more I visited Dr. Gingold a couple of times and every time i saw him he did not talk to me at all. he examined me, checked what was wrong and did not explain the issues with me. He performed a small surgery, he did not explain to me what to expect or the care i should have after. when asked questions he just handed me a brochure. it seemed as if he really did not want to deal with me at all. I read the reviews that say that he has been nice to people. and it just seems like they talk about a different person. It felt like a veterinary visit more than a human doctor. this was not an isolated case, i visited multiple times until i could not take this kind of treatment anymore. yes. cold hand and bad treatment.
