Dr. Abroon has all the qualities that are important to me in building a healthy doctor/patient relationship! At the top of my list is that Dr. Abroon is a good listener. He never rushes my appointment and always addresses my concerns, thoughts, opinions and viewpoint. For example, Dr. Abroon will take the time to read an article I clipped from a health newsletter on a subject I felt was pertinent to my care. Dr. Abroon is very knowledgeable, concerned for my well-being, will make referrals when necessary and follow up on my reports. Dr. Abroon is empathetic, compassionate and caring. The staff is always cheerful, efficient and polite. There are times I forget to mention something at my appointment and get upset with myself. But, I feel comfortable calling the office when I get home. I know that Dr. Abroon will return my call and with his calming voice say, "Alice, how are you? How can I help you?" These are the qualities that are important to me!

Echoing the sentiments of some others, as someone who has intimate knowledge of medical billing…read morepractices, Dr. Abroon is unethical in this regard. Here is my experience: I'll start by saying that the staff were friendly and professional, but that is the extent of the positivity here. I have in-network insurance, early 30's, low risk for heart issues and, by choice, just underwent a full ECG and heart stress test with a licensed cardiologist/heart doctor specialist about 6 months ago. 40+ minute wait. Dr. Abroon is NOT a cardiologist. He is a PCP. Yet he insisted, even after I told him and his staff that I just did a fulsome heart exam with a cardiologist, that (1) I pay $250 out of pocket UNLESS (2) they administer an EKG at the start of the visit without having assessed symptoms or risks or heart issues. His staff conveyed that he does an EKG on all his patients, which is medically unnecessary according to a number of medical authorities (see, for example, https://www.aafp.org/family-physician/patient-care/clinical-recommendations/all-clinical-recommendations/cw-ekg.html). Could I have opted to pay $47 to move forward with his EKG? Sure. But on principle this is very clearly a very wrong thing to do. It is not ethical to push an unnecessary medical exam that is costly for an insurance company so he can receive pure financial gain, and again, what's worse is that when I declined the EKG, he gave me the ultimatum that he would otherwise charge me a whopping $250 out of pocket. After I raised all these issues with Dr Abroon, he declined to proceed with our visit. Dr. Abroon's practice is patently unethical, and calls to question whether he has tendencies to conduct his practice this way more broadly. I encourage you to avoid this place. There are plenty of providers in the city that are upstanding.

While Dr. Landzberg seems qualified, again, I would avoid due to the current exam environment, near fraudulent testing situation, and poor support staff.

So we went to the nearest City MD near our hotel, the doctor seemed so terrified knowing that we came from the Arab region and started asking about MERS and things that were completely irrelevant to what was happening to her. Not only that, but he immediately prescribed her an antibiotic without any blood tests or thorough check up. So the next day she took the antibiotic + the cough syrup he prescribed her and her situation got worse. Way worse than anyone can imagine. Upon recommendations and reviews we contacted Dr Primas for urgent in-house care and not only did they give us a quick appointment but they also welcomed us to the clinic in case the time was not suitable. I am not going to take longer than I did but he actually asked about her entire medical history and was completely considerate of the entire situation and recommended a treatment only after assessing her medical condition. He usually prefers not to treat his patients with an antibiotic which is what we always prefer as patients so it was perfect. The antibiotic prescribed to her gave her severe effects and nausea so Dr Primas treated her with a shot (injection) and she literally felt better in 5 minutes. He was also kind enough to prescribe me medications to avoid getting a flu while studying for my course in new york city during that period. He also does not charge for follow ups after the first appointment, in case you needed to see him again. I left his clinic so happy and relieved and took her to the park right accross from Dr Primas building for fresh air, and we enjoyed the rest of our time together. I had been in past treatment for what had been diagnosed as asthma since 2019 when I was a patient at the Lenox Hill Northwell Medicine Clinic at 178 East 85Th Street, 2nd floor. There I saw various internal medicine RESIDENTS who report to their attending physician supervisors, who put me on Albuterol, and Flovent. I decided to make an appointment with a pulmonologist at my wonderful hospital health care system, namely Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health. Dr. David Posner MD was highly suggested to me and then I did my own research on his qualifications, reviews on multiple sites, Yelp, Healthgrades, Vitals, Google Reviews, etc. Hence, upon meeting Dr. Posner I was amazed at his kindness, bedside manner, and listening skills! I explained all, and he set me up for a lung challenge test among a few other tests, and low and behold, I NEVER HAD ASTHMA NOR COPD!!! Dr. Posner explained all in detail, took his time with me, and is one of the best medical doctors at Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health and their pulmonary clinic on the 3rd floor of 178 East 85Th Street, New York, NY 10028. I was further treated with professionalism by the front desk staff, which is extremely important, and the clinic is beautiful. Dr. Posner will always continue to be my go to pulmonologist at Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health in any future issues regarding any pulmonary issues or questions.
