The wait time put the time I spent with Dr. Aronoff to shame (e.g. the wait was long and the receptionists had more personality), but who wants a proctologist poking around and jabbering for too long? Not me. Regardless, I do like to feel like I'm the center of the doctor's attention and that I am being well cared for. I felt neither at this office. Worse yet? My 5-ish minute interaction with this in-network doctor inevitably cost me ~$350 WITH my comprehensive insurance. GAG, right? Turns out it all comes down to billing codes. Even though I had the EXACT same tests fully covered elsewhere by another in-network provider, this specific office used billing codes that were denied by my insurance. I called this doctor's office for assistance and was offered misinformation and confusion over a period of many months. Not only that, I had to continually provide the same information again and again (even information I previously faxed). I was also repetitively told the doctor knew about my issue and "was working on it," which translated into my receiving a two-sentence "letter of necessity" almost 6 MONTHS AFTER MY APPOINTMENT. Given the lack of effort and attention, it probably comes as no surprise that my insurance appeal was denied. Dr. Aronoff was paid many months ago and obviously cared more about the cash than me. He never took the time to contact me or even to speak with me after my appointment when I called numerous times seeking help with my billing challenges. At very least, you'd think that this office would make note of my insurance, of which they are an in-network provider, and make sure that my preventative tests were submitted with and covered by appropriate codes. No such luck. BOTTOM LINE: AVOID. The patient comes last in this "slam, bam, thank you for your cash Sam (or mam!)" business. This doctor is an in-network AETNA provider, but you'd never know it. If you want caring, professional service look elsewhere.

I have been treated and examined by Dr. Gingold for over 10 years and I can say he is the best at what he does, with a very congenial bedside manner. He did my hemorrhoidectomy surgery about 7 years back and did a great job. I have always done my follow-ups with him. I just recently flew back to New York from my new home in Houston just to have an exam from him because he is very knowledgeable in the field, concerning preventive measures as far as potentially cancerous polyps are concerned. Read his newspaper article and his views concerning early attack of polyps. I highly recommend Dr. Gingold, but his schedule has been reduced lately to about 3 days during the week and surgeries are only on Fridays. So your chances of getting in to see this specialist is very tight. I also highly recommend Dr. Gottesman in that office also,I have seen him in the past and he has more availability. Hope this helps everyone in your search for well trained knowledgeable health professionals in treating and prevention measures when it comes to your healthcare. Thank you..and be well

He performed a small surgery, he did not explain to me what to expect or the care i should have after. when asked questions he just handed me a brochure. it seemed as if he really did not want to deal with me at all. I read the reviews that say that he has been nice to people. and it just seems like they talk about a different person. It felt like a veterinary visit more than a human doctor. this was not an isolated case, i visited multiple times until i could not take this kind of treatment anymore. yes. cold hand and bad treatment.

I have had a chronic ongoing condition and have seen many, MANY doctors. I finally came to Dr. Lerner after a recommendation from a coworker. She was the first doctor to treat me as a human being and not some hypochondriac. She made me feel so comfortable, spent plenty of time in her office discussing options with me and making sure that all of my questions were answered. As we started pursuing surgical options, she made me aware of things that no other surgeon had regarding possible outcomes (even ones who were ready to schedule surgery with me within days). I felt more informed in one visit with her than I was with doctors I had seen multiple times. Dr. Lerner was especially mindful of the fact that much of what we were discussing was sensitive and that was clearly reflected in her bedside manner. The idea that someone would call her cold is so absurd to me based on my experience.

She even got on a video call the day before the procedure with me to talk through some last minute concerns I had. I'd recommend her to anyone!
