Their responsiveness during our emergency was awesome. Unfortunately we had to rip out a substantial portion of the room. Their work product was great. Their pricing was not clear. I got a bill at the end of the day that was insanely high for the work completed. It was explained to me that that is because it was "insurance rates." I am not filing a claim with my insurance so I am getting stuck paying unquoted work (during an emergency) at crazy high rates. Again, their emergency response was great. Their work product was exactly what it should have been. I am just very surprised and disappointed at the pricing. Even recognizing I was in a bind and it was going to cost me, their pricing was simply not fair. Getting a bill after the fact, nothing I can do now except let others know if you aren't making an insurance claim, be prepared for "insurance rates." We had picked up a radon test kit from the Summit County offices and found that our radon levels were significantly above the allowable level. After doing a little research online, I contacted Justin Hollenbeck of HCRS to get a bid for the work. He came out to our home promptly, and even though there was still deep snow, gave us a detailed bid and work plan. When the weather cleared, we got back in touch with him to complete the work. He arrived on the date and time agreed with a crew of two, who were very polite and offered good input as we discussed the exact placement of the system. The work was done professionally, the project site was cleaned up and the installation looks very good on the exterior or our house, not really noticeable at all.
