Shortly after, I received a text my order was ready. Only thing missing was hours... wasn't sure when to pick up. It's 10-8 FYI. When you arrive, you call the number in the text message, and give them your name, order number, and have your ID ready to show someone through your car window. Someone comes out checks your ID through the window, and if you have a power tailgate or open your trunk they'll put it in your trunk for you! Seamless, painless... can't get any better than that! Can't wait to browse the aisles again & attend an event or two, but they are working hard to get images for their 9,000 SKUs up on the site. Usually you sample 7-8 wines and they provide very light snacks to go with it (cheese, bread, and deli meat). Sometimes they have pricier events in which I believe you get decent appies. Depending on the person pouring your wine you can get very lucky or unlucky with the amount you receive.

Downtown Liquor was a bit challenging to find (it's actually on the lower level of the Cambridge Lofts building) but it was worth the hunt. A new business, they've only been open since October and their vision is to provide Edmontonians with unique and harder to find beer, wine and spirits (similar to Sherbrooke Liquor but in the downtown core). If your tastes run to Coors Light or Barefoot wines this may not be the place for you but if you're feeling adventurous you need to check it out! I was delighted to find a few products I've been searching for - light tonic water, Blindman Brewing's addictive blackcurrent kettle sour, and Eau Claire Distillery's newly released and incredibly delicious canned gin & tonic and EquinOx Mule bottled cocktails. Thomas was really helpful and knowledgeable and he gave me a tour of the store and gave me a sample of a new BC-made Caesar mix to try - Simps Caesar. It was SO GOOD, spicy and flavourful, and it's also free from MSG, gluten and it's vegan! No longer will my shellfish allergy hold me back from drinking Canada's favorite cocktail! Downtown Liquor is constantly expanding so if you have a product you'd like them to carry let them know. They also carry several different growlers, perfect for summer patio parties (if summer ever arrives). I'm excited to go back and browse when I have more time, I have a feeling I'm going to need a bigger fridge

Once you try Tsinandali (white wine), Saperavi,Khvanchkara and Kindzmarauli (red wines), you will understand why Georgia is considered one of the top producers of wine. Liquor International carries both Georgian wine produced for domestic consumption (in this case, the wine is the real deal) and wine produced specifically for purposes of export (this wine is cheaper and of lower quality). Make sure to ask the sales associate which is which, but basically the price tag tells the story. A bottle of real Georgian wine will cost about $50. Cheaper alternative created for export - around $25. If you are eager to try Georgian wine and there is none in stock, the sales person will write your name down, and call you when new stock arrives. P.S. For no apparent reason, Liquor Interntional accepts Canadian Tire money.

LI's a rather run-down store, both inside and out But they carry lots of wines, liquors, soju, stout. They are so helpful, so fun and so focused on helping you find your perfect brew. They have jugs along the back wall where the Kegs are located, so you can try out a draft or two and then take a jug of it home with you - I believe it stays fresh for quite a while too, as long as it is sealed properly. They have tastings classes and beer nights. Invite beer and liquor reps in for events. A big shout out to the Beer Geeks! The selection of liquor is also very good as is the wine. Last time I was in they had a table up front of *sale vino! I assume this is to get older stock out of the way/make room for new vintages. What ever the reason, I love picking up a great bottle and getting a deal! It is very conveniently located for all of us who live on the South Side. Just off the Whytemud on 99th before it turns into Parsons Road. My only gripe... Twice I have showed up on a Sunday, forgetting they are closed ;p

Anyway, I found the Innis and Gunn type he likes, four different kinds, and 'Trooper' from Robinson's Brewery, named for the Iron Maiden song. They ranged in price from $3.23 to $5.42, which is decent in my opinion. In fact, this goes on the Christmas List, because I'm going to be grabbing more later for stocking stuffers. This location has been a liquor store for many years but has changed names quite a bit recently…read more It has recently changed to ABLO -- Alberta Liquor Outlet, which sounds like a low end liquor store name. I went there for the first time the other day and found that it hasn't changed a lot from its previous incarnation. I did find one of our favourite wines that we couldn't find at this location under previous owners so that was a win. The one big change I noticed was a cooler at the front dedicated to Alberta craft beer. That will get me coming back. The other liquor stores that had this location had a very small selection of any craft beer so I am glad to see this section with the new owners. There is also another cooler with more craft beer and cider type drinks. The cooler at the back of the store is mostly the big beer, cider and cooler producers. They do have a small selection of gifts and gadgets. The staff wear masks and they have a plexi shield at the front counter as well. I wish the out door was motorized though as it is narrow and with a full box of wine can be awkward to get through. Lots of parking as this is in a strip mall. Lots of other cool stores to check out while you are here!

You need liquor? Oh, they've got liquor…read more It's not a specialty liquor store. Let's get that clear right off the bat. You're not going to find 100+ kinds of beer or very very rare wines here. You probably won't even find staff that are experts. Sure, they're friendly young'uns who can show you where a particular product is shelved and maybe a bit about it, but that's about it. But what you will find is a good selection of liquor at very, very good prices. Since you can't buy liquor with your groceries in Canada, I always end up making separate trips, but since this is in the same parking lot as Superstore, it's essentially one trip. If I need to pick up some rum, vodka, basic beer or coolers, I almost always visit here.
