As others may have previously mentioned, this theater is quirky. We had recently seen a show at the Lyric in Birmingham and hoped it would be similar. It was but wasn't. The layout of the building was very odd, men's room on 4th floor and ladies on the 2nd. On the 3rd floor, they have their VIP lounge. Oddly, the only thing designating it as such was a small sign on an easel. Having not been here and not being from Chattanooga, I was leering in and trying to determine what exactly WAS this lounge. There was a lady sitting in a chair just inside and when she saw me, she muttered "Fourth Floor". Somewhat taken aback, I informed me that it was my first time there and I was trying to figure out what the space was. It was only then, that she said "Oh, it's a VIP lounge for contributors and donors to the preservation fund." Thanks! Another quirk about this is that they seemingly have the OG pew/seats! While this is AMAZING and historic, there were a number of patrons that looked very uncomfortable. Also, in reference to the Lyric, I was bummed that this didn't have opera boxes. Oh well. We'll definitely be back if artists we like play here!

Could have said something for the 30 mins of the first half or during the 15 minutes of intermission but waited until the play started back to call us out and say that my son was being a distraction. Hats off to whomever tirelessly worked to put on these amazing displays and organized this community event. From our understanding, it takes approximately two months for the residents to decorate. The lights are usually available to view from the first Friday after Thanksgiving. For 2024, the lights ran from 5:30pm to 10:30pm with the last day being December 29. Weekend traffic is heavy, so it's recommended to visit during the week. It's a smaller one way loop. It seems short, but you can loop around as many times as your Christmas lights heart desires. Lights are only able to be seen from your vehicle. It's requested you must remain in your vehicle, and there's no parking. This made sense as the road is narrow with no pedestrian area/sidewalk. Regardless, it was an enjoyable (free!) treat that was enjoyed with the family.

However, I was disappointed that Ms. Dan set the 'tempi' a bit slower than what I had previously heard on recordings. Also the ad stated that various "movie-scores" would be performed, including 'Citizen Kane' and 'The Corpse Bride'. Neither was listed in the program that evening, but I hoped that at least one of these pieces would be presented as an encore. When there was no encore, I was disappointed--a second time--due to false advertising. This is my firsthand consumer experience. Thank you.

I attend lots of the food and drink events in Chattanooga, but somehow I had missed this one. Now, I am so sorry that I missed any of them, this was the best food and drink event that I've attended!! First of all it was at the Choo Choo, which is the perfect location. It was miserably hot and I knew we would be able to step inside and cool off if we needed to. The event is set up in a long u-shape. So it's really easy to keep track of where you've been. There is a booklet that maps everything out for you so that you can go back and hit your favorites again! Music is at each end of the event. The first thing I'd like to address is the Sip part of Sip & Savor. Oh my, where to begin. There is something for everyone here! Not only is there plenty of beer and wine for everyone, there is whiskey, gin, and liqueurs. So much to choose from, I started with cocktails, moved on to some whiskey tasting, tried some wine and finished with beer. I know this sounds like a lot, but it was small amounts of each and I also filled in with plenty of water since it was so hot. My husband's favorite was definitely the Redemption Whiskey, he paced out his tasting and we looped back to this table every so often for him to try a different one. Now, let's talk about the savor part of Station Street Sip & Savor. There was plenty of good food to go around. There were lots of different takes on barbecue, I would have liked to see a few more cooler options like salads. But everything I tried was wonderful. It was miserably hot on this day and I still had a fantastic time. If you knew how much I hate hot weather, you would know how good this event was! Lots to drink, lots to eat, lots of friendly people and music...what more could you ask for? I forgot to mention - as if it couldn't get any better - this benefits Chattanooga's Kids on the Block!
