Mixed fried chicken with pintos, squash casserole, dressing and greens with sweet tea.

It's a classic for a reason! This is the second oldest restaurant in Atlanta! The fried chicken was perfect. It's a must if you like comfort food. Will come back for dinner. The cocktails look fantastic. Alex was the perfect server.

I grew up in Atlanta and lived in the area most of my life and yet this was my FIRST time ever at the Colonnade!!! It is an institution and I am so glad my friend brought me here. We started with drinks at the bar where my pomegranate martini was very strong. We sat in the bar area that was decorated for Halloween. We then went to the main dining room which was dark with wood paneling and I was digging the retro feel. I had the fish and chips with a side of okra and all were hot and fresh tasting. We split a brownie and ice cream dessert. The servers work hard and fast here. We even met the owners who were sitting close by and had a nice chat. Very homey and relaxed vibe, very affordable prices for good home cookin' food and I will definitely not wait over 40 years to come back!

So it's been 4'yrs since my last visit. This place has been here since 1927 if that doesn't speak volumes idk what will. First time I came here it was so packed at the time I had to park at the hotel that is no longer there. I've have been talking about this restaurant to my mom. She has never been here before. I looked on the menu and see that they have a seafood platter and delicious gulf shrimp also. I got the fried chicken dark with 2 sides Mac and cheese and dressing with gravy! The dressing with gravy is delicious one of the best ever tastes like thanksgiving came early the mac and cheese is delicious also. The meal comes with corn muffin and a roll and a pack of soft melted butter delicious. The chicken is seasoned and fried crispy.Complimets to the chef. I didn't need it but I got a slice of key lime pie also. I visited on 3-29-2026. Definitely worth the trip not a disappointment. Pull up and check them out.

Fried chicken...fried chicken...did I mention the fried chicken?? Collard greens and fried okra along with fried green tomatoes! Martinis were definitely a generous pour and old school. First time here and loved the throw back ambiance!

Fried Okra. I was excited for it but it was crispy and tasteless.

We were the youngest people there. Just visiting Atlanta and craving fried green tomatoes and fried chicken. It was all good. Not particularly flavorful but huge portions and friendly staff.

Country fried steak

I have mixed feelings about the food, but I'm giving 4 stars for service. They were out of sweet tea, but did say it would be ready in 10 mins. I ordered the country fried steak and a bunch of sides - whipped potatoes, Lima beans, fried okra, and dressing with gravy. The combo of all these was way too greasy. The country fried steak was also salty for my taste. When my waiter (John Thomas?) noticed I wasted so much food (over half the steak), the manager came over and asked what was wrong with it. I told him I had ordered poorly, but he took it off my check anyway. The waiter came back and told me they took it off, and when I said not to, he just said not to worry about it and to come back again. The coconut pie, Lima beans, okra, and dressing were all delicious! I asked for gravy on my potatoes, which was a mistake. The brown gravy made the fluffy hand mashed potatoes heavy and just added to my poor choices. I will def be back and prob get a veggie plate with all the fresh veggies. This place is def an Atlanta icon, and I can see why it's been around for so long.

Ask the Community - Colonnade

Is The Colonnade open for delivery or pick-up? I can't find anything about this, and when I called, a recording said the number was either out of order or disconnected. Quarantine is difficult, but some Colonnade fried chicken sure would help!

Colonnade is not open. I live next door to the owners and they were not set up to handle take out or delivery. I know it's sad, I live right behind the restaurant and I miss the smells of the fried chicken and the fresh baked rolls. Hopefully we…

I love fried chicken (who doesn't?) but typically find other breading to be bland and oily and I usually pull it off to get to the juicy meat...but not at Delilah's. It was the perfect combination of crunchy and flavorful and I was sure to gobble up any small bit that fell on my plate. The collard greens are also incredible. Not too salty not too saturated. Just perfect. I think I'm going to order a take home portion for holiday dinners at home because I can't make them better than this! The service and personal experience was off the charts and exactly what southern hospitality is all about. My husband and I chatted with Jason, the owner, during our entire meal and learned so many cool things about their family and Delilah's story. I will be going back again and again and again. Definitely plan to take out of towners that are eager to find good authentic soul food.

The biggest disappointment was the service. Our hostess seemed completely disorganized, repeatedly forgot parts of our order, and somehow ended up charging me for both my meal and someone else's. The lack of attention and organization was frustrating, especially considering the prices. This restaurant has potential, but management really needs to take a closer look at staffing, training, and overall customer service. With better leadership and more attentive employees, I believe the experience could improve significantly. I might consider giving it another chance, but based on this visit, I can't say it was worth the money. I expected much better.

I also feel like the prices were appropriate for the portion sizes. That was the only positive thing about our visit. Service was EXTREMELY slow, it took 20 minutes for waters. An even longer wait for food followed by another few minutes for hot sauce and lemon slices. For a restaurant with a 2 hour table/validated parking limit I'd expect faster service. Questions about cross contamination with allergens were met with a blank stare and shoulder shrug. The DJ was great but the music was way too loud and made it hard to hear each other. 20% auto grat is included for all checks over $100 according to the menu, but it should say all parties or something similar as it's determined by what the table spends. This was even more annoying considering the lackluster service we received. He did remove the automatic gratuity from my check, but it was only $10 due to a special so I'm sure that was only accommodated since the tip was $2.

Great biscuits. Just great overall. The dishes served are all elevated Southern fare. Just a warning it is so popular that parking is very difficult to find and if you like a quiet place to eat this is not it. FOOD: REALLY excellent. I was so impressed. I need to come back. Just from what they served I had to get extra and bring it with me on the plane. While eating there, I had the pimento omelet which was beautifully balanced and flavorful. The biscuit was a bit hard on the outside but so pillowy on the inside. I also got the fried green tomatoes which was beautiful to eat. I took home the fried chicken sandwich and it was so delicious. I'm sure everyone else on the plane was jealous. SERVICE: Super friendly and the setting was great. I'm sure it is an old, converted house made into a restaurant. Tables everywhere and all of them full. It's a bit noisy so if you like it quiet, you won't find that here. But the service is excellent, the portions are huge, and the setting is homey. COST: Definitely above average but worth every penny. For what you get it's so good. Could you find a cheaper breakfast? Sure. But you get what you pay for and you you get something great.

She even told me that I couldn't leave without trying a biscuit and brought one complimentary. I would give that experience a 5 and I would give my last experience a 3 but let's just do an average. That's how I got four stars. This time, the service felt very different. Our waitress, Nekale, had a pleasant voice and was a beautiful woman, but she lacked warmth or friendliness. She definitely had the RBF going on. It felt like when someone says "I love you" with a stern face. Maybe something happened that day and she had an attitude, but if that's the case, don't interface with people on the floor. The girl brought lukewarm coffee, and my mom had to ask for fresh coffee. I was a little embarrassed because it was my mom's first time there and the service was blah. My mom said her grits were lukewarm, and so were my potatoes. She did not want to send them back because she was hungry, so she just ate them and did not say anything to me until she was almost done. Everything came out at a great time, and the presentation was amazing. It all looked very delicious. However, when I bit into my chicken biscuit, I got a lot of grease. In addition, I had asked if everything was an even swap, and she said yes, but when I paid, I saw an upcharge for my potatoes. All in all, I was very disappointed that the service was not as great as I experienced the first time. I was also disappointed that my food wasn't amazing. That said, I will still be back at some point.

WAS THIS A HIT OR MISS ???…read more It was a HIT I have been dying to try this place out for years and I figured I planned a lunch with a friend so we could spend the afternoon chitchatting and this was the perfect spot. She checked on us numerous times, didn't rush us and offered suggestions. She kept our table clear of mayhem from empty plates and glasses. Now the food was delicious. It was so good. The chicken was moist and the outside was crispy. The mashed potatoes melted in my mouth. Plus, we had a slice of 7up cake for dessert. I high recommend this place. Their breads and jams are particularly delicious, but my absolute favorite--and the most pleasant surprise--was the fried green tomatoes with goat cheese. They were incredible! For my entrees, I've tried the blue crab quiche and the frittata. Both were decent, though the crab quiche could have used a bit more flavor. My guests really enjoyed their orders, including the Springer Mountain chicken, Nashville bites, and the farm egg hash. Overall, it's a solid spot--clean and modern, with great baked goods and reliable service. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Naee who informed us that we can sit anywhere we choose. Soon after we sat, we ordered. Hubby ordered a 2 piece white w baked beans and greens I ordered 2 piece dark w baked beans and fries. 2 fresh brewed sweet teas please !! There was a short wait. Roughly 20 minutes. I didn't mind. I knew the food was cooked to order. I enjoyed watching horse racing on their TV, and people watching. The dining area is spacious, and clean. As soon as our food was up, it was on! The chicken was so fresh, tender, and well seasoned. I love the spiciness level. The baked beans were ok. A lot of flavor, a little sweet. The greens were great! I loved the flavor and consistency. The fries were pretty great too! Fresh and crispy. We enjoyed so much that we were planning our next visit, while sitting there eating during this visit !! Lol The sweet tea was good. I added a little water to it. I would certainly order again. I snatched a slice of fresh baked sweet potato pie to eat later. Later came, it was good straight out the fridge, great heated up. In true saving the best for last spirit, NAEE !! She was amazing from beginning to end. Sweet, personable, and consistent. She answered all of our initial menu questions, checked on us at the perfect times and made sure we didn't want for anything. This place is a must visit! You will not be disappointed.

**Huge Difference Between the Dark and White Meat -- Do Yourself a Favor and Order the DARK MEAT!**…read more What We Ordered: 2 Pieces of Dark Meat: Absolutely amazing! The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You could really taste the subtle spices in every bite. This chicken alone would have earned a 5-star rating! Coleslaw: Delicious, creamy, and the perfect side to complement the chicken. Baked Beans: Highly recommend! These were a standout side and definitely a must-try. 2 Pieces of White Meat: Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The chicken was dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. Honestly, it tasted like a completely different restaurant made it! Mac and Cheese: Nothing special. It was lacking flavor and didn't really stand out. Fried Okra: Surprisingly tasty! This was a nice addition to the plate. **Overall Experience:** The dark meat was SO good that I would have easily given this place 5 stars based on that alone. However, the difference between the dark and white meat was mind-blowing. The dark meat was juicy, flavorful, and seasoned beautifully, while the white meat was dry and disappointing. I would never order the white meat again, but I would absolutely come back for the dark meat! If you're trying to decide which sides to get, definitely go with the *coleslaw and baked beans. Both were delicious and worth ordering! Service: The service wasn't the warmest or most welcoming, but the staff wasn't rude either. Since it was my first time visiting, I would have appreciated a little more guidance and information from the server about the menu and what they recommend. Atmosphere: A small, cozy, homey restaurant attached to the Peachtree Mall. It has a casual, comfortable feel. Final Verdict: ORDER THE DARK MEAT! If they can keep that same flavor and juiciness consistent across the menu, this place would be 5 stars from me all day. Just skip the white meat for now and make sure to get the coleslaw and baked beans on the side!
