I chose this location for a couple different reasons: - This place is located within the building of a really nice bowling alley. Really nice interior and good exterior appearance. I know how that sounds and I won't get into the studies of why this matters. But more customers, slightly higher prices because people want to bowl here, made me hope that this would mean a more experienced/knowledgeable bowling shop staff. - This building is located within a really large plaza that also has the gym I go to. ( Check out the LAC review). So this place was convenient to go to right after the gym. I went to this place on a Thursday and having never entered a bowling shop before, I asked for help. The staff explained the difference in the bowling balls and after I had chosen the type of ball I wanted, I was shown similar balls of different manufacturers. This was a good experience. I wasn't pushed to buy the most expensive ball though those balls were shown, but shown to a good ball based on my experience. Buying a ball has free drilling for finger holes but I didn't have time that day to get that done. I paid for the ball and went back the following day for that process. There were already a few customers in there and a few came in after me but the one person working there did an awesome job in handling the crowd. He attended to everyone; answering everyone's questions, taking down names and notes for people dropping off balls for service, etc. The person doing the drilling was very thorough in taking my measurements of bowling fingers and doing a couple different "tests" and measurements to ensure the ball was perfect for my hand. It's pretty neat to see a ball drilled specifically for you. So the experience was great, the shop is really clean, has good lighting, and has nifty looking shirts, shoes, and accessories. I ended up buying a bowling bag...because how else am I going to carry that heavy ball around right? Prices for bags were good and comparable to a couple other places in town- I had called a couple other locations just to make sure. I also looked at a few different websites for the bowling shoes I ended up choosing and this place was actually less expensive by several dollars. I'm happy I chose this location, definitely a 5 star experience for me. Glad I was able to add this business to our wonderful Yelp world.

Located at 110 S. Main Street in downtown Elizabethtown, Social takes the food-court idea and gives it a serious upgrade. Instead of everybody in your group having to agree on one restaurant, there are multiple kitchens under the same roof. Currently that includes Maillard Wood Fired Kitchen for Neo-Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, StrEAT Kitchen for smash burgers and other street-food-style dishes, and Wasabi Bistro for made-to-order Japanese food. We've already tried Maillard's Italian Meats pizza and a bacon smash burger with Parmesan fries from StrEAT, and both were fantastic. So the hardest part may be deciding which direction to walk when you get hungry. But the thing that surprised me was everything else inside. There's a full bar and self-pour tap wall, plus duckpin bowling, pool upstairs, arcade games and pinball machines. And we're not talking about only new arcade games either. I spotted some real old-school machines, including NBA Jam, Fisherman's Bait and Track & Field. If you grew up feeding quarters into arcade machines, you may forget you originally came here to eat. The building itself is really cool too. It's a big open industrial-style space with high ceilings, exposed brick and plenty of different seating--from regular tables and long communal tables to more comfortable lounge-style areas. There's enough going on that a family or group could easily make an afternoon or evening out of it rather than just eating and leaving. I also like the concept because everybody doesn't have to want the same thing. Somebody wants wood-fired pizza? Done. Somebody wants a smash burger? Done. Somebody else wants Japanese? They've got that too. Then everyone meets back at the same table. That's a pretty smart setup. And based on our visit, the atmosphere was peaceful and enjoyable and the service we received was awesome. We never felt rushed, and it was the kind of place where you could hang around after eating instead of immediately heading for the door. Social Food Hall gets from us. Come hungry, bring some friends, and give yourself some extra time. You may go in planning to eat a pizza or burger and come out having eaten both, played NBA Jam, gone bowling and somehow lost half your afternoon. That's not a bad way to spend a day.

Decide what you want to eat, order, and find a seat. They offer a variety of food types - Pizza, Burgers, Asian, etc - so there's something for everyone. We chose smash burgers from the STREAT Kitchen. I got the Street Smash and upgraded my chips to tater tots. The burger comes on a large, Hawaiian bread type bun which holds up well with all that's going on in between the bun. The sauce they use is very flavorful with the pickles, cheese, and lettuce enhancing the taste of the burger. I highly recommend. Hubby got the American Smash and really enjoyed his as well. If we were staying in the area longer, I would come back to try other food and play some of the games.
