Although that sounds unappealing , the food was great and there was no limit on the type of food, drinks, or desserts we wanted. Also in the room there are complimentary snacks drinks and toiletries. The following morning when breakfast was served it was pretty good. She made a granola , fresh fruit & cream bowl to start. Then for the main course it was a French toast filled sandwich looking thing , I don't know how to explain it , but it was good . I wasn't as filled as a normal breakfast but what I did eat was delicious . Also the room was very clean . Now for the bad : I don't like writing bad things but for a review I should include everything. First of all there was ALOT of rules that I wasn't expecting. I felt like I was at like a great aunts house and felt very uncomfortable . There was signs everywhere to tell you what to do , or should I say what NOT to do. There was a sign telling you how you should operate the fireplace . A sign on how to not put anything on the wooden counter . A sign to take off your shoes before walking on the hardwood floors , a sign telling you to not take the snacks , a sign telling you not to look behind a curtain . The rules were crazy ! How am I supposed to relax and enjoy myself when I'm scared to touch anything because I might be breaking a rule . In my opinion if someone is so worried about a room being touched a wrong way , maybe you shouldn't rent it out & keep it to yourself to live in . Also the innkeeper is very vocal about her opinion and making sure you keep to the rules .At breakfast my cell phone was on the table and she took it away and put it on the counter . I did not like that. Overall: The place was well worth the money , would go back . The way the wedding was and how it was all inclusive was great . Only downfall was the overload of rules made it uneasy to relax .

The attached bathroom was very nice and clean. The grounds around the castle were fun to explore but we just wish that things would have been in bloom as it was march and spring hadn't arrived yet. The small noticed inconvenience was adjusting the shower water temp some adjustments were required. Fair value especially considering the minimal options other than hotels.... Would stay again.

Drinks were fairly priced and not watered down like they can be in some places. The highlight for me was the crab bisque soup. It was the perfect consistency and temperature and packed with flavor. I'd honestly go back just for that. Oh and the salads are HUGE. I didn't have one, but a friend did and you could easily get several meals out of one salad. It isn't someplace I'd drive out of my way to come back to (it is about an hour from my house) but if I'm in the area I'd definitely stop and eat again.

Karen and Don gave us a walking tour of the area and showed us all kinds of interesting flora and fauna. We had such a wonderful time relaxing, hiking, and enjoying the scenery. They had great tips on what to do in the area. Don gives fly fishing lessons and is a patient teacher. We had a fantastic breakfast and lots of interesting conversation. I think Karen and Don know something about everything. It was great. I was sorry that we had to be on our way. The good news is this is a 4 seasons area. I'm sure it's beautiful in the fall and is a short drive to Wisp Resort for winter skiing.

Tea, juice, milk and good coffee are on offer. There is a cozy sitting area where adult beverages as well as bottled water, tea and coffee are available with board games and a fireplace. This is near skiing, and you could enjoy beautiful Somerset fall foliage. I'm told it is rarely humid in the area. It is also close close to the memorial for flight 93. We were in town with family for a funeral and this was a very comforting place to gather and spend time with family and friends. The owners and staff are considerate and kind. They took marvelous good care of us.
