I had a scope of my left shoulder and recovered quicker than expected and my three incision points are hardly noticable, surgery was effective and professional and I now actually have better range of motion with my left shoulder than my right. After fumbling with the computer, he said he'd "review it in his office"--though I sincerely doubt he ever looked at it. He later reappeared, claimed nothing was wrong, and offered zero explanation, zero treatment options, and zero next steps. This was, without a doubt, the worst medical experience I've ever had. If I were this careless and dismissive with my own work clients, I'd be out of a job. Truly disgraceful. DO BETTER. Between the compound/open fracture and the other broken bones, my morning started off tragically wrong. Thankfully, Dr. Tam is more skilled than all the king's horses and all the king's men because he was able to put me back together again! Dr. Tam impressed me with his straight-forward "this is what I would do if it were me" approach. I like options, but he isn't afraid to tell you what the best option is. Before surgery, he put his hand on my shoulder and let told me, "You'll be alright." He assured me he would do his best. His tone and the warmth of a human touch comforted me.
