Visiting French Lick for our anniversary weekend and stopped in to see all the Larry Bird…read morememorabilia. Went ahead and got a couple of drinks and food here, and it was awesome. The fish and chips are bomb, and if the soup of the day is chili...trust me, get it. Lindsay was our server, and she was super sweet too. Overall, loved the food, portions are more than enough, and the service was great. Side Note - The other reviews here are some of the oddest I've seen left on any restaurant ("food was excellent, service was better than most sports bars" but then 2 stars?!?) and don't know if things have turned around recently, but it was great all around!

We had a weekend out of town and chose 33 Brick Street to eat. Before the issue on waiting almost…read moretwo hours for a table, I will preface our group had 9 people and no one myself included called ahead to reserve a table. We did learn they do not do same day reservations so keep that in mind if you'd like to try and do so. I think the wait was more an issue of our group not being prepared as opposed to the restaurant not being accommodating. Once seated we were able to eat on the patio. We started with three separate appetizers for the table. We got fried pickles, pretzel bites and breaded mushrooms. The pickles and pretzels were tasty. My girlfriend loved the mushrooms, I did not eat any since I don't like mushrooms. For our mains we got The Bird with cottage cheese and brick chips as well as the Pork Chops with a baked potato and green beans. Both meals were tasty. The sides were all great. The chips were a great vessel to dip in the cottage cheese, if you don't do such a thing regularly you're missing out! The only complaint is The Bird is listed as "smothered" in cheese and bacon. I wouldn't describe it as smothered in any way. It is on it but smothered isn't the word I would use. Overall we would come back with a smaller group and hopefully the wait is less. We enjoyed our food. I would maybe like to try another dish to see if it is better than what I got. I did however, absolutely love the decor. As a huge basketball fan this is my type of place. You don't see many Cedric Maxwell jerseys in the wild!

This is a very subjective five stars. Here's why:…read more 1. It's the only bar in Orleans. 2. They have Not You Father's Root Beer 3. The NYFRB and a PBR was $5.25. Like, total. Not each. 4. There was a live band (the reason we sought out this place) and they charge a $5/pp cover charge. Their menu is basic bar food - mozzarella sticks, burgers, poppers, fries, etc. (no wings). The burgers looked REALLY good and everyone was ordering them but we weren't hungry enough to get one. We arrived around 7:15PM and stayed until last call. We each had 4-5 beers in that time (since we had to drive out of there on back country roads) and we split an order of mozzarella sticks and our total bill was only $30! Amazing! Note: they do allow smoking, almost everyone in there was smoking, and the ventilation system didn't do much to help the air flow. At one point my eyes were burning pretty bad - but it's a dive bar and I was not expecting it to be non-smoking. It's a cool little joint and I'm glad we went!

We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation (that was even posted on the marquee board) and it seems they had already sat "half our party". Well those four guys were not with our party, so it seems they gave away our reservation. The hostess did immediately go and fixed it and we were sat by the kitchen view table within 10 minutes. I had some of the cowboys cut ribeye and it was very good. The hubs ordered the filet and it was so good. Shrimp cocktail was good but my absolute favorite was the Korean bison meatballs. They were so good I would've ordered these as my meal. Our servers was Mimi and she was very attentive to our group of 7 and even recommended a couple items.

We had complimentary Chocolate Dipped Strawberries for our Anniversary. For the money, we may explore other options next year.
