Our tour took us through two beaches including the famous Black-Sand-Beach. We also rode through picturesque grazing areas as well as secluded woodland. My 10-year-old daughter was really nervous at first, but Joshua stayed right by her side, encouraging her with so much kindness. By the end, she said it was her favorite experience on the island! Even my teenage son--who I wasn't sure would enjoy it--had the biggest smile on his face the whole time and said he loved it!! That alone says everything! One of the highlights was riding the horses into the water at the beach... such a cool, unforgettable moment (we only wished we could've stayed there longer!). They also took tons of photos for us, which was such a thoughtful surprise, and even AirDropped them at the end. Every single person in our group of 7 had a blast. Highly recommend--this was truly a core memory for our family!

It is now called Hacienda Buena Vista. It is located in the same place in Palmas del Mar. Just follow the signs to the Equestrian center. They now have a website (haciendabuenavista.com), as well as FB and IG pages. This makes it so much easier to reach them and get up to date info. Before it was a hassle. You can reserve a tour via phone or the website. Unfortunately, we didn't know this. I was used to the old ways of just showing up. We wanted a pony ride for our son. I'm sure they will take walk-ins if there's space available. Not this time. It was Sunday, which seems to be their busiest day. Plus they were short staffed. They told us they didn't have anybody available for another 40min. My wife didn't want to wait that long so we left. Next time. The guy suggested we reserve for Saturday which is less busy. I'll keep that in mind when making a reservation. In addition to horseback riding and pony rides, they also offer a stable tour and bike rides. They also breed and train horses. I believe they also giving riding lessons. Just ask.

First we loved our tour guide Mikey he was fun and friendly, he was knowledgeable and knew the area. We went on a two hour tour that brought us to a few spots for pictures along with a river to take a dip. He drew on us with rocks! lol we stopped at a small restaurant with some food for purchase and pina colada's with a bunch of cats! They had a restroom too. Overall the experience was worth it we spent about $600 for a family of 4. On a separate day we went on horseback to the beach. It was fun but crazy!!! These horses are trained but definitely have a mind of their own. It POURED the entire time. But this excursion is rain or shine! There is a weight limit and shoe requirement. We stopped a a bar that had drinks and food this was a very well organized place. Overall highly recommend! Things to know: bring cash to tip the workers, wear closed toed shoes, have face coverings and glasses for eyes, bring towels and change of clothes to leave in your car. Bring cash or card for food, drinks and souvenirs. Bring cat treats to feed the cats!

Since it had been a while since I last rode an ATV, I was a bit jerky at times, so that felt a little unnecessary. Other than that, I liked the experience and had no major complaints.

The plan was to visit Culebra…read more We had a great 40 minute bus ride from Condado to the Fajardo Safe Harbor for a pleasure boat ride for 20 post wedding guests. We arrived on time and we were warmly greeted by the captain and 2 crew. After a basic safety briefing we charted out towards Culebra in overcast weather. Instead of Culebra we settled on the uninhabited beach of Caya Luis Pena before Culebra with crystal clear waters in about 20 minutes. The waters were translucent clear turquoise and beach sand was pristine. Water temp was around 79-80F. Weather was overcast and comfortably cool. They laid out a simple light sandwich buffet for lunch with beers and tropical cocktails. Snorkeling, swimming and relaxing for a few hours, we spotted small schools of fish and a very cool bachelor Stingray circling looking for scraps. Crew was incredibly friendly and helpful and everyone enjoyed the short beach visit. The return trip was much smoother and after jumping back on the bus we were able to stop by a bbq joint for coconuts and fried stuffed empanadas.

There is even horseback riding here at Rancho Buena Vista. Lots of people live here too. I have a friend who grew up here so I visited quite often. You can find several good deals on Gustazos (gustazos.com) for hotels here at Palmas.

Huge shoutout to Captain Tito, Eli, Adrian, Mathew, and Brian--this crew went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. From the moment we stepped on the boat, they made sure my family and I were well taken care of. I never had an empty cup, lunch was delicious and on point, and they even took the time to teach guests the basics of snorkeling. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and having a great time. The boat was super clean, and the whole vibe was fun, welcoming, and relaxing. We did the El Yunque/Bio Bay excursion. The tour guide, Debbie, was very nice and did a great job…read more Since this excursion combines two tours into one, it's a long day (12 hours total) but we preferred to do it that way. El Yunque- the bus drives up to the tower that overlooks the rain forest and has beautiful views of the island. Then we went to the waterfall for photos and then a brief hike (15 mins each way) to a beautiful river where you can either swim or relax by the rocks. There is not very much "hiking" except to the river, so you basically get the benefits of the view without all of the hard work! There's a pit stop before the Bio Bay excursion where you have about 1.5 hours to grab dinner or relax on the beach. Bio Bay- this tour is led by a separate company, but Fine Line still covers transportation to and from the excursion. One piece of advice would be to bring some dry clothes to quickly change into after the tour. While we all had swimsuits on and towels to wrap up in, it was a cold/wet hour-long ride back to the hotels.
