On July 14, I suddenly couldn't log in to my credit union's app. At the same time, I saw notifications about verification emails from my credit union -- but those emails didn't appear in my Gmail app. When I called the credit union, they informed me that someone had attempted to add a fraudulent external account from Green Dot Bank. As they put it, "The credit union determined this was suspicious activity and restricted online access to my account." No money was taken, but they required me to create a new email address and have all my devices checked for malware before restoring access. I first visited another technician who was pleasant but whose investigation didn't leave me confident. So I sought a second opinion -- and that's when I found PC Helper Team. Soroush returned my call within ten minutes and invited me to their Westwood Blvd office. Hector checked my iPhone immediately and confirmed it was clean, then kept my iPad and computer for a deeper analysis. Within a day or two, Soroush contacted me with the real cause of the breach: I had unknowingly clicked on a fake Evite invitation that led to a fake Google verification page.
