I brought my SUV to Casten who came up with an estimate and would work with AAA my auto insurance. I got email updates as well as calls since Honda parts have been an issue due to logistic channel. Parts came in and Casten jumped on it and completed the repair quickly. Also Casten provided a complimentary Car while my vehicle was being repaired. Plan: We needed to move our side view mirrors from our fiberglass body to the doors, fill in the previously drilled holes where the mirrors were previously mounted & paint the car. Implementation: I was recommended to Kevin at Nostalgic Auto Body of Island Lake, IL. We spoke with Kevin & we were provided a very reasonable quote. His shop is at the absolute end of a row of auto related companies. We used House of Kolor KDA3003 Yellow, KD3000 Activator, S2-14 Lunar Yellow, & S2-FX31 Kosmatic Styling Pearl - KSP Strikngold FX as well as hardeners & reducers Result: The car has since been completed. The paint (with pearl top coat) is immaculate as if it were originally painted this way. The mirrors have been moved and the previously drilled holes were properly filled in to perfection.

We tow the truck to Platinum and they fix the truck- they will not release the truck until they are paid. Progressive released the $9,000 dollar payment and we pick up the truck. We drive the truck and quickly realize there are things wrong with it. We take it back. They agree it needs an alignment. We think they did the alignment. We go and pick it up again and my husband wants to drive it with the manager. They tell us they don't do mechanical/engine work. THEY TELL US THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME! We have to take it someone where else?????? THEY NEVER TOLD US THE TRUCK HAD MORE ISSUES AND WOULD REQUIRE MORE WORK! Our family of four with young children were riding around in this truck! We take it to the dealership where they tell us it needs $4,000 dollars more worth or work and PROGRESSIVE IS REFUSING TO PAY and states it's not from the accident. LYING! This company just wanted the pay out! AWFUL! And put my family in DANGER! Over the weekend I was able to see that the fender wasn't buffed properly and the bumper color was off. I stopped by and expressed my concerns. We scheduled a time for me to come back and while the fender was finished, they said the bumper mismatch is a normal thing and they can only remedy it by charging another $6-700 to blend in the opposing fender. So basically, too bad so sad. I wasn't told this prior to the repair and it wasn't offered. I gave them 2 chances to resolve this and this is now my only recourse. They weren't the cheapest quote and had high hopes from the reviews here. Not happy that I had to bring it back to finish buffing the fender and I have to live with a poor paint match.
