The MC Councilman Richard Ash announced the entertainment such as the Drag Queens from Provincetown, the 3 were extremely talented by Lip synching popular songs then BOOTY VORTEX the DISCO GROUP WOWED THE AUDIENCE from 70's and 80's! Then presented Scholarships to one Senior of Quincy High School and one from North Quincy High school! Plus and award to the Pastors from The Church of Presidents across from City Hall! The hit entertainment was Quincy's own son.....TORRENCE who performed several songs along with his band and dancers! So much activity and food such as Black Creek BBQ, Aahhh ROMA LLC and Ice Cream Truck SMILES by the MILES and a popular Beverage BREAK ROCK BREWING COMPANY Tent. So many Vendors and so many attendees truly enjoyed a fun full day on the Park for Pride 2025

So, last year, when I saw an event was scheduled to take place there, I figured it would be a safer time to visit. Well, yes and no. I wasn't the only person going, but because I wasn't the only person going, their parking lot was full, so parking was a bit of an issue. I checked out the grafitti, making my way around the folks standing or sitting around, to get a closer look at the rocks. I stayed on the grassy ground while I noticed some folks climbing up the rocky cliffs, both with and without rock climbing gear.

The Visitor Center is nicely done, staffed by knowledgeable Rangers & Volunteers. It has a gift shop & restrooms. The grounds around Historic buildings are well maintained along with the buildings. They had a program which covered the history of the location. Well worth a visit especially for history buffs !!!

In the sweltering July 2026 heat we traveled by train to arrive in Quincy. Only to be lectured by a Park Ranger about how my backpack wasn't able to let us visit any of the locations. This same Ranger continued to lecture us on the possible heat closures and then chastise us for our lack of planning and prepartion to come and see the properties. How dare we come see a National Landmark and not think to plan in advance and get tickets. Listen my husband was having a history gorge on this trip so I wasn't going to pitch a fit. But, come on National Parks. We WANT people to be interested in our national history, be proud of our hertitage, and WANT to visit. Maybe we remove some barriers and not dress down visitors. Everything was closed for tours because of the heat risk. But, that sweet air conditioned bus was solid. Driver played good music, the AC was cranking and we were able to see all the different parts. The Park did have actors performing a scripted role of the Adams Family- they were impressive, the gardens of the home were beautiful. Additional bright spots: the movie was great at the welcome center. The Family history was amazing- the dedication and duty of service was astounding. The lessons and connection to a time gone by was great. Remove some barriers, be more welcoming, create more opportunities...

This past weekend, myself and a buddy wanted to get out of Boston and shake up our walking route…read moreand landed on World's End. Be careful when putting the address into your navigation, especially Waze users, as it took us to the totally wrong location at first. Once you arrive, however, parking is pretty straightforward. It costs $10/car. The staff at the hut where you pay for parking was super helpful in letting us know what route would best suit our time constraints. We were even given a map! The trails were pretty clear, some maybe weren't as clearly defined as they could've been. Note for hikers: this does feel like more a stroll in the park as opposed to a true hike. Some hidden paths did feel like one, however, so don't be afraid to venture off what seems to be the most defined routes. We loved the views of the Boston skyline, harbour, and Hull, MA. This place is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to coming back in autumn to see some good foliage!

The older kid area had several slides perched up on a hill. The ground is rubber so no worries about the little one getting hurt. There is a splash pad but it only had a small misting spray so not really a true splash pad. The little kid area has some shade in the morning but the big kid area has no shade. Closed in dog park next door if you want to bring your dog.

I…read moreguess it's not really a park but the coastal area behind the American Legion building where the road to Moon Island becomes restricted for anyone who's not with the police academy or fire academy. Secret Squantum Park has a GREAT view of the Boston skyline - especially at sunset. You can work your way along the small rocky beaches covered in zillions of periwinkles and find yourself looking over calm waters back to the shiny Kubrickesque monolith that is the John Hancock building. There's also good views of UMass, the JFK library and the mysterious Thompson Island. Oh, and if you like skipping stones - THIS IS THE PLACE. I managed 12 skips with one stone. New PB!

I *love* this park…read more It's a small (1 mile loop) and well-maintained park on a peninsula with great views of the south shore and Boston. The trails are well-groomed, and you also have access to rocky beaches and grassy side trails. I visit frequently, particularly on hot summer days because of the sea breeze which makes getting fresh air and a bit of exercise all the more pleasant. The park is accessible and welcoming. I see visitors of all ages, from families with very young children to octogenarians; there are joggers and bikers, and lots of people with their dogs. Parking is limited and on beautiful summer weekend days, you'll be lucky to find a spot. It's a beautiful space.

Great place for a walk. Picnic. To ride your bike. To just sit and enjoy the peace of the park.read more
