I got there just…read moreas the place was opening and within five minutes I was checked in by a very pleasant staff person. 15 to 20 minutes later I was seen by Daniel Truhan. Dan asked me numerous questions to ascertain what protocol to follow. He decided to send me for x-rays of my hips and lower spine. He reviewed the results with me by the end of that day & said there is a possibility that there might be a fracture. After reviewing the results of the X-rays, he submitted an order for me to have a CT scan of the same area the next day. Two hours after the scan was complete Dan called me and gave me the good news that I did not have a fracture of my tailbone. I've noticed there have been a lot of poor reviews of this location and some of the people that work there, however, I have nothing but good things to say. My experience was extremely positive.

At 5:30 PM on a Friday night, I walked into a random doctor's office and asked the receptionist if there was anyone available to see me. Although the office was set to close at 6:00 PM, one of the doctors overheard my situation and graciously agreed to help. After filling out some standard paperwork, I was promptly placed in a room. Dr. Dempsey came in shortly after and asked detailed, thoughtful questions about my symptoms. His nurse assisted him, and within minutes, they diagnosed me with the flu. Dr. Dempsey's team even called White's Pharmacy in East Hampton to ensure my prescription could be filled right away. Quick, knowledgeable service from a caring doctor is rare these days, and Dr. Dempsey exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for a compassionate and efficient doctor in the area, I highly recommend Dr. Dempsey and his team!

When you call, they sound indifferent and bored you need to pry information out of staff. If you ask for refills or test results they act like you are a big intrusion. For example, they have no patient portal that you can log on and find test results. If you ask you you will see at your next appt you will be told Joanne but may see someone else. That's fine they are all good but consistency of care is good too. If you call a few times in a row to clarify something you may get a snarky remark like "yet again." It's as if you're bothering them by trying to take care of yourself. I would say the professionals act professional, the others are who they are. You overhear comments like they can't wait for summer people to leave and so on. Wait time is short and generally service smooth. There is a doctor associated with this practice but never seen him/ her. Never been given the chance to make appt. with them. Usually takes a few calls to get a message through hardly get a call back on results unless it's a ca. Screen. In person though is fine. This is a short term solution as I look for a full time physician where I really feel comfortable and welcomed.

Paul went against our HIPPA agreement and decided to shared our meeting notes with the court appointed forensics. He dramatically sensationalized and focused his comments on his perception of my negative behavioral traits. This one-sided feedback, provided by breaking our doctor/patient confidentiality, was eventually discredited in the Judge's eyes because it was so one-side and from the overwhelming support from the community of my character and parental skills but it dramatically delayed the court process many months costing our family time and considerable expenses. Stay away from these weirdos.
