Food - Best Japanese food ever, fried rice is amazing, and their prices are so good…read more service - Best service ever as well, both the service and the food made us come here twice during our holiday. Highly recommend this place. We weren't excited going here because we don't enjoy Japanese style dinner but this place is so good! Best Japanese restaurant to exist!

I really want to give this a two and a half stars. Well, another Scoopon stop for us. I think I'm…read moregetting to the point where these restaurants have been more disappointing than they have been 'great finds'. My son got the tonkatsu (breaded pork, but it had a slightly different name here). Normally this dish is served with a plum sauce, but not here. We did ask, but I'm guessing something was lost in the translation because they brought back the tempura dipping sauce. The dish itself was good. Our daughter had the tempura, which was ok. There was shrimp and veggies. The biggest problem with this dish was eggplant....the batter on these was undercooked....this was not pretty, and when I took a bite the oil just oozed out in my mouth. Our banquet included saki. My complaint here is normally this is served with the bottle in warm water to keep the saki warm, but this just came on its own. It wasn't long before the saki went cold. The soup was nice, the Goya was again, okay. The best part of e meal was our sushi....little California rolls and salmon. The salmon was just beautiful and the California rolls had different seeds on the outside that really gave it a nice flavour. The service was good, the food came out at a good pace. But overall they loose it in the quality of the food and preparation. With all the other Japanese restaurants around you can find a better place.

Came here with my family for Christmas Eve dinner. We made the reservation 2 months in advance for…read morethe first seating (5:00-7:45pm). The 2nd seating is from 8:30-11:15pm. The environment was super classy, with high ceilings and marble walls and floors. The servers were polite and attentive majority of the time. There were a few times we had to flag them down to take away our used plates and refill our water and wine. The was an extremely wide selection of food. The categories include: salad, cold cuts, cheese, cold seafood (oyster, crab, lobster, shrimps, etc), carving station (turkey, ham, roast beef, lamb), Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, dessert (chocolate fondue, ice cream, cakes). I wasn't able to try out all the food, but the dishes that stood out was the halved lobster with melted herb butter, the stir fried clam, baked salmon, roasted ham, raw oyster, Queenland tiger shrimp and the peppermint chocolate ice cream. The disappointing dishes include turkey (dry and rough), roast beef (dry), king crab (very mildly sweet to tasteless), roasted cauliflower (way to mushy), stir fried asparagus (tough and fibrous). Also, the sushi and sashimi selection was disappointing and the sashimi did not look fresh. The price of the wines were reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Overall, for ~AUD$200 (excluding alchohol) per person, I would say the buffet price is reasonable.

The food was above average over all. There were about 5 stations included in the all you can eat…read more The Asian station was the best! Then the desserts. The spicy and sweet pork with crunchy port skin was 5/5. The first time i have seen a white chocolate fountain and it was delicious! They also had a milk chocolate fountain. The service was great top notch very professional and eager to serve (Jacinta and Maka (Asian Michael Jackson) Very happy and great energy. The ambiance was beautiful with natural light and look very clean. The low point was asking for hand sanitizer, which they provided and allowed us to keep at our table. The only item I had to ask for so not low just not immediately available. Will visit again and already told my friends about it. We were celebrating our Anniversary and they brought us chocolate that read happy anniversary.

Not good. They reopend last week after shut down for 6 months approx. Prices went up $20 per person…read moreto $75, there were less meals than prior, food choices were not varied, mainly fish and meats, not many vegetarian/vegan options. We went for late 8pm seating, the foods were not refilled eg Hokkien noodles bowl was empty and then when they filled it up again they were cold. Spring rolls empty, little too burnt with hardly any fillings. Very few desert options. No lemons available. The plus was Filtered spring and still waters. The standards have fallen below what they were before. The place was half empty. Pity, it used to be a great place years ago, the standards fell alot the past few years. The receptionist was respectful and smiles compared to the previous female rude one. The waiters were good, wearing their black hygiene gloves was a plus. We won't go there again. The food choices and food quality is just not there. The pizza makers need to learn how to make pizzas, they never got it right.

There was lines to get food - so delays with eating was common. Also not much time to enjoy food to settle in the stomach, it was up and go to get more before being asked to leave because someone needed our table. Venue Ambiance was ok - more about the front entrance, looking professional but it lacked desire as a quality buffet restaurant, and 100% not value for money. I was expecting a great night - but sorry POOR and wouldn't not bother wasting my time ever again. KFC would have given you more quality and taste. ICE CREAM - Average MEAT was - Average Value for money - Below Average Pressed for Time - 1.5 Hours - Seriously - Lines to collect from Buffet - Very Slow. Prawns small and Seafood Selection nothing Special. Staff not great. Pushy! The best part of the adventure is walking from Carpark through the exclusive shops, such as Cartier etc to the Kitchen Workshop. Don't get sucked into Youtube videos about it, they are not normal and clueless with food and service. Don't go - Waste of Time and Money!

There was an avocado bar, chocolate fountain as well as tons of pastries and hot foods. The service was really good and the ambiance is gorgeous as the restaurant overlooks the Yarra river. Melba has always been my favourite buffet in Melbourne. It's always fresh, plentiful and varied…read more They label things well and there's truely something for everyone. They do great Indian food, great sushi, beautiful pastas and salads and fish and the most delicious desserts. It's pricey, but I think there's definite value here. The staff are always friendly and helpful and it's a perfect spot if you have a special occasion or just a treat for a change for lunch or dinner. HOWEVER ... that being said. We just came here again for the first time in a while for a very special occasion. We made the booking for 8 people. When we booked over the phone, they didn't once say that since we are coming for lunch and having guests, the best thing to do would be valet park with the hotel for a flat rate of $19. No. They didn't tell us that. Instead, we paid $75 - yes $75 - for just over three hours of parking with Wilson. It is daylight robbery and should be regulated. The hotel lost that business by not disclosing it to us, and instead our money went to Wilsons. But the thing is, when they know you're hosting guests, the least they can do is verbalise that on the phone with you at the time. Otherwise, the day went smoothly (other than the idiot waiter who told us our table was the one "over there with all the big balloons" on it after we urged him to keep it subtle as the guest of honour was with us as a surprise ...), and I recommend the lunch here for sure. Just be sure to NOT park downstairs unless you valet.
