The Rapid Transit staff gave me fantastic advice on shoes several years ago and I have gratefully stuck with the same brand and model since. So, obviously service is top-notch. I am also happy to share that prices are competitive with--or cheaper than--certain big box sports stores. My shoes were 20% less than the big box retailer's price. Rapid Transit also has a great selection of Penn State gear for Nittany Lion fans. Shop local. Shop quality. Shop Rapid Transit.

We came in looking for deals on some white Penn State gear for next week's white out and was not disappointed in the selection of items available at a very reasonable price. Hats were $28-35 and the hooded sweatshirts were a nice $45. Running shoes (we only checked the prices for comparison) were a little more expensive than the chains, but supporting local businesses could justify the difference in cost. I don't think you'll find Nike and other major brands, but you will find something!

That means that it is too big for its own good. Walking in you can visibly see that there is not enough stock to fill the shelves. I don't know if they are setting this store up for closure or they just decided that less stock was better. However, I did end up purchasing a pair of shoes from here nonetheless. After finding them I browsed a bit more, but that didn't take long since, like I just stated, there wasn't much stock to look over. Customer service was kind of amazing when I interacted with the staff. They were helpful and courteous. And if the store is about to close, they did not let on that this was the case.

I've worked retail for 3 years and most customers appreciate that, so I sort of felt awkward being in there. Their selection seem okay but a lot of it looks slightly cheap. I'm surprised with the return policy as well 7 days to try the shoes out?? Seems a bit short in my opinion. I saw other reviews about how they've denied the return so I'm a little skeptical about even trying them on at home. As I was shopping around for the shoes I had to make conversation to the associates and there was one helping me while the other two stood there staring at me. While I was trying shoes on a girl walked in and wasn't greeted or acknowledged. It just seems slightly unprofessional and not a very approachable shop that I'd go back to.
