So my name is Samantha . I recently attended the adult GED program and I think it was frikkin awesome . These previous poor reviews are just silly . The instructor probably was just dumb and dull and this is a hard job you are trying to teach people the only things standing between their past and their future , the staff is selectively picked and is an amazing team right now . The adult program works like this , you attend an orientation which can only be done during the day , then you come back another time for a pretest to assess what you need to learn . So if you do poorly on the pretest they have classes for you to learn and become GED ready all for free. If you do phenomenal there is still one class, intermediate math , that they require you to pass ( each class is 4 days a week for 2 weeks ) you can choose afternoon classes or morning classes . It is about commitment . Yes people have schedule issues but guess what if you want to get further in life you will make it happen and stop using excuses as reasons for your delinquency in your future . So after completing your ged classes , you take another test, that shows if oyu are ged ready , and if you are they schedule your test and you do it . 5 subjects for Arizona, and its all free! Let me tell you the tests have definetly changed and you will atleast need to catch up on the math , because it is way different and complex on the test , but they teach it all very well ! My intermediate math teacher was pretty cool . You have to consider how many people the staff deals with , and how they are here to further your career, most of the teachers have other teaching positions as well and are doing it because they know it is an important position , that reaches a lot of people in need .....and it is not located in the greatest part of Phoenix, so if you have attitude with them they defiantly know how to handle it . People and their reviews are so biased , but Im telling you from experience of trying to get my GED done for over 5 years after highschool, this was and is THE BEST OPTION, and its FREE. After doing your GED if You choose to go to college with College America , you get a small scholarship , new laptop, and a few other things towards your tuition . Its great . I LOVE IT ! read more
