Worst service EVER!
My husband and I moved almost 1500 miles to Southern Utah. We had set up a moving appointment, for three movers, just to unload our stuff when we arrived.
College Movers sent us two emails and two texts over the course of a couple of days, reminding us of when they would arrive. And of course, I had to pay up front.
My husband is 70, and I am 68 and disabled, so I am unable to help at all. We really needed help. And we had paid for it!
However, their appointment time comes and goes. After about half an hour, I contacted the company. The manager (or whoever works in the office) was always polite. He offered to locate the team assigned. About 20 minutes later he calls me to explain that one of the crew was injured or sick or something. But two were coming. Then he calls back a while later, explaining that, no they only have one mover and asks about sending him.
Until I called, the office wasn't even aware that their team was falling apart and certainly were not where they should be. Not at all well-managed, in my opinion.
Well, now it's almost two hours after they were to arrive. We have driven for four days, we're tired, and we need help. We specifically set this appointment up so that my husband wouldn't have to haul a lot of heavy furniture.
One person is not enough. We need at least two. And not only were they going to send only one person, they wanted to charge me for him. Even though they were in breach of contract!
Meanwhile, it is getting later, and we have to get the trailer returned that day.
We eventually found some people to help us, but it was a totally miserable day and experience.
They did refund our money, but since I would have had to pay them $60 had I cancelled, I kind of felt like they should have compensated me somewhat for all of the trouble I had to go through to locate other movers at the last minute.
We'll never use them again.
