The guy picked up a shirt, and while I had looked at a handful of athleisure wear, I didn't make a purchase, as the prices were a bit high for my taste, though the things I looked at were nice. We were in there for a while, browsing and looking around, so it's not a bad place to spend a little time, or wait for a partner.

They didn't have exactly what I was looking for, but I'm super psyched to have discovered a nearby alternative to Dicks. It's a small-ish store absolutely PACKED with gear. Everything you need to play lacrosse, soccer, and an entire wall full of paddleball -- which apparently started in Rochester, who knew? If you told me Valenti Sports was the preeminent paddleball shop in the world, I would not question that. Since this place has an obvious focus on sports that are popular locally, I was a little surprised that I didn't find anything for disc golf. I'll just leave that one hanging out there in the Great Suggestion Box That Is Yelp. Definitely a great place for outfitting an athlete, but lacking typical gifty stuff -- such as lawn games, toys, jerseys and team gear. Several (non-pushy) salespeople asked if we needed help; this seems to be a place to go when you're on a mission -- "I'm looking for soccer cleats" or "my daughter wants to try out for the lacrosse team, what will she need?" We didn't grab anything during our visit, but I'll be back -- I am in want of a pair of indoor soccer cleats. And a soccer ball. And some athletic ability, but I'm afraid they might be fresh out of that.

The staff there was so helpful, and listened to everything I told them about my playing style and what I was looking for. They knew the ins and outs of every product they sold, and were able to show me lots of options based on the feedback I had after each round of demos. I ended up with the perfect paddle for me, at a price that beat the internet, and with much better service than you'd ever get when buying blind. I'll definitely be back for my next one!

Answered the phone in a very unprofessional way not even identifying the business and when I asked if I could swing by to get some help with design and pricing of a very large T shirt order I was told I should probably just go to their website and try to do things back and forth on the internet.
