Why 3 stars? Because if you like sugar, this is your paradise…read more --- --- --- I'm a man who can't resist a 4.8 star rating (at the time of my visit), so I was willing to commute about 20 minutes out of my way for a post-lunch visit here. The main item on the agenda: cinnamon roll. As fate would have it, they had not one, not two, but three different kinds of cinnamon rolls. My wife ordered a standard one and I went with the biscoff version. Both were as heavy as heavy gets. In fairness, any cinnamon roll is going to be heavy, but these were like: two bites and at my limit. Was this more because I also happened to have a heavy lunch? Maybe so. But when I brought home leftovers to eat after dinner, I was still feeling stuffed to the max and unable to finish what I started earlier in the day. We also ordered a macadamia nut cookie and a cupcake, which were both fine. Same for the coffee, though I ordered a very basic iced americano, which is going to taste nearly the same everywhere. I'd come back to try Brit's again, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to do so again. But I may have caught them on a bad day, considering the awesome reviews they've brought in.

Usually, I'll find a place offers one but not the other- but I'm happy to say I've experienced both here. There are both sweet and savory treats on the menu, with rotating options based on the season. I love that they have everything from handheld chicken pot pies (delicious) and cookie croissants (haven't yet tried but they look amazing). Their cookies lean more classic, with a good variety of options. I know many of my fellow sweet-toothed friends have been feeling "oversized and underbaked" cookie fatigue with the way current food trends have been going, but Brit's Batch takes their cookies back to the basics of a thinner cookie with a crisp edge and chewy interior. Kind of like Great American Cookies but a little more elevated and personalized. Their drinks menu also has great variety, and even though I'm not typically a fan of sweet coffee, I loved their banana bread latte. Service is always attentive and sweet. The interior is bright and clean, and very conducive for journaling or studying. Private parking lot with plenty of spots. And while I enjoy sitting and staying for a while whenever I visit, they do (bemusingly) have a drive thru for your convenience. Highly recommend it here! - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 5/5

To start off, when I ordered my coffee, the guy at the register said they didn't have 8oz coffees. I was staring right up at the sign, and he said he didn't know why it said that because he didn't see it in the computer. (But gave me an 8oz cup anyway and charged me for a 12oz) I thought maybe he didn't know what a small 8oz looked lik? lol Not sure. Then I waited for about 20 minutes for them to bring me out a vegetarian sand which. I was the only person there for the first 10 minutes, and it seemed like either the guy forgot to tell them to make the sandwich, or the ladies forgot themselves. Because 10 minutes later the guy looked at me and apologized and said that it should be out in 3 minutes. Another 10 minutes later and still nothing. I was pretty annoyed at this point because how long does it take to throw some veggies together on a sand which!! I think he noticed at this point so he apologized to me again and said " I just told them to make it". At this point I was super annoyed, but I just waited. Meanwhile I waited I also noticed other customers had walked in and ordered a handful of desserts and it looked like they had to go back up to the counter because they were missing some of their order. I finally got my sandwich and left because it honestly seems like a cluster fuck. Thankfully the sandwhich was amazing. The mango dessert was, eh. Especially for the price point. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, but I felt this place was really deserving of one. Customer service was not there- he was not very friendly. Food took WAY LONGER than it should've especially because I was the only one there at first and for what I ordered. He didn't even know the specifics of their menu. Just absolutely disappointed. Will not be coming back

I loved this place until today…read more... I frequent this establishment for their great toffee coffee and for what they say they represent - love. But today I got absolutely NO LOVE. The drive thru intercom is not great. It's ok, I deal with it. We have worse issues in this world. So if I have to repeat myself a few times, I am fine with it. Today I was asked to repeat my self twice. After repeating myself twice, the lady exclaimed, "You don't have to yell at me." Of course I was taken aback by this response. When I drove around I asked the young lady at the window if she was who I was speaking to over @the intercom, she said no and asked why. Her voice sounding familiar, by the way. When I explained she looked around pretending to be perplexed, before asking me to hold as she closed the drive thru window. A few minutes later the owner appeared in the window greeting me with, "Did we make you mad today?" No hello, just this odd question. My response, "Why would I be mad, only dogs get mad?@" He then asks what happened. I explained. His response was, "Oh she didn't mean it like that." Well, I don't know how else she meant it. The intercom is shoddy, she could not hear me, I repeated my order twice at her request each time speaking a little louder and she says, "I don't need to yell at her." His response again, "She didn't mean it that way, she's one of my best employees and we are taking care of your coffee today." I told him I wasn't interested in freebies, I was interested in great customer service and an apology. He continued to push the free coffee toward my car window to appease me, I suppose@. I declined again. He then says, "Well you have a reward today, do you want to take advantage of it?" I declined a third time. I don't need anything free. I'm a loyal customer who tries to support local, family-owned businesses and this was the treatment I received. I will not be back. Keep your free coffee. Keep your rewards. Keep your excuses. Keep your bad behavior. I travelled half a mile to Starbucks where I received great service with a great smile. Do better Just Loce Coffee Cake Cypress, Texas.

While it has moved from its previous Top 50 ranking, the food remains a great experience. The brisket was deliciously smoked, though I found the bark to be a little too salty for my taste. Despite that, the meat itself was fantastic. The ribs were hearty and very tender, and the pork belly had a nice flavor, but was a little on the dry side. The pork belly burnt ends were a unique treat. They were covered in a spicy barbecue sauce, which was a pleasant surprise since I usually prefer a fruity base like peach or apricot. The absolute standout was the sausage. It was a perfectly cooked, double-grind sausage with a delicious chili relleno taste. It was cheesy and had an excellent flavor that made it one of my favorite sausage offerings to date. For the sides, the carrot soufflé was a highlight. It was delicious with a smooth texture and only a hint of carrot, making it an excellent and unique side. To top it all off, there's a chocolate shoppe attached to the restaurant, so a chocolate dessert is an absolute must after your meal. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant for a truly enjoyable barbecue experience.

Went back about two weeks ago on a whim and I've already been back twice since. The BBQ is legitimately exceptional now. The burnt ends are amazing--tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The cheesesteak is awesome, the turkey is surprisingly moist and tasty, and the overall quality is way higher than I remembered. A couple small notes: the poblano sausage was a bit too cheesy for my taste, and the mac and cheese has crushed tortilla chips on top that feel unnecessary (though the base is still solid). Must-orders: Get the chicharrones and queso and ask for a side of Tajín to sprinkle on top--it takes it to another level. The jalapeños at the condiment station are pure fire and delicious. They also have a full bar, so chilling with a cold beer and some top-notch BBQ is the move. The chocolate truffles at the counter are fantastic--you really can't go wrong with any of them. They also have specials if you order four or more items, which is a nice touch. Plenty of seating inside or outside, and there's ample parking right across the street. If you haven't been in a while (or ever), do yourself a favor and give them another shot. I'm glad I did. Solid 4 stars.

This seemingly small cafe is actually quite spacious; the ambiance was quiet, and the service was friendly. They had a seasonal menu for the fall, so I chose to order the iced Tiramisu latte with oat milk, and the cup was coated in tiramisu (?) syrup. The coffee taste was a bit masked, but overall it was creamy, not too sweet, and had a mocha flavor! The Core Cafe had several unique flavors that I'd love to try, so I look forward to returning. :D

Their new location is pretty far from me, so i thought I'd check out this place since it is where my favorite used to be. However! This was my first and last visit. As soon as i walked in, i smelled an overwhelming scent of smoke. I'm not sure if that came from the patrons or the space itself, but that alone was almost enough for me to walk right out of the door. But i stayed because i really wanted to give this place a chance. Like another reviewer, Elizabeth V., mentioned, there were 3 women around the counter who were not welcoming. Considering that you have to walk a distance to even get to the counter, being welcomed when you get there would have been nice! Anyway, the woman who took my order wasn't kind or helpful and when i asked for my drink iced (because the menu didn't specify if the drink was offered hot or iced) she said - kind of condescendingly - "it's already iced..." How would I know that if it's not listed on the menu? And why am I receiving snark for specifying how I'd like my order? Even though I was ordering in person, it felt like I was ordering at a drive thru - being rushed and questions discouraged by an apathetic employee who'd literally like to be anywhere else in the world at that moment. I knew I wouldn't stay at that point so I grabbed my matcha (which was just okay) and left. It's super disappointing to see that this is what occupies the space where my favorite coffee spot used to be. Maybe good service is worth the 45-min drive to their new location! Coming here certainly wasn't worth the headache of traffic, construction, a busy parking lot full of people cutting through to avoid the traffic on the street, and attitudes from the employees. If you like good coffees and teas but also like a kind and welcoming ambiance, please go elsewhere. I wish I wouldn't have believed the 5 star reviews I saw here.
