Super fun and kitschy place along I-80 in Nebraska. We pulled off the interstate because we saw…read morethere were several restaurants off that exit, and it was dinner time. We ended up eating at Whiskey Creek right next door, and after dinner we walked over to check the trading post out. It's so fun and inviting with its fort-facade, giant statue in the parking lot, wagons and cannons, how could we NOT? My guy enjoyed the museum exhibits at the back of the store, and I enjoyed browsing the goods for sale. Purchased several small items including the prerequisite post cards of the area and some pretty and tasty candy rocks. I also found, much to my delight, a pug-dog car decal. And they have an excellent selection of really beautiful sterling and gemstone Native American-made jewelry. I got a gorgeous "rainbow peridot quartz" ring - I've never seen anything else quite like it anywhere! My attached photo does it no justice, but the stone looks blue from some angles, green from others. Exquisite! Multiple sales associates ignored me as I lingered at the jewelry counter looking, but then a very tall young man came over to help me. He was personable, sweet and attentive, so it's all good. In my 40+ years of life, this was my first time ever driving across the center of the country, so I can't say when or even if I'll be back that way again. But if I ever am, I will definitely stop for another visit.

Stop in for the animated diorama of hand carved figures, every half hour and in our case about 5…read moreminutes past. Probably not the most politically correct but an interesting time capsule in time of another time. Otherwise mostly a run of the mill western themed gift shop.

Horrible customer service, kicked out for "breaking something" we didn't even and when looked at it…read morewasnt broken. I go to this 5 below all the time with my younger sisters and this is the most disrespect I have experienced from this establishment and their service has never been great. We left the store after we told the woman working that we would not pay for it, she told us to leave so we left. When we turned around the woman working was taking photos of us and our car and threatened to call the police. I have never experienced this kind of treatment in any shop I have ever been too. I myself have worked in customer service and I would never treat a customer how I was treated. I sadly will no longer be supporting this 5 below location in the future.

my daughter and I bought a toy from here today. we asked if we could have the empty display box…read more they said yes we would just have to be charged twice for the toy we were buying. The display has a toy inside of it too. We said of course no problem we don't mind doing that. I also voiced that if we could not have it that is okay too. At first we were told no. then they called another person to the front to ask her. she said we just have to pay for two toys to have the box. she started to rip the box apart taking the toy out of the box. I said if we have to buy the box why can't we have the toy and the box in tact? she looked confused. so I told her never mind but thank you. we wanted the box not destroyed. so the other lady took off the charge and walked over to another worker and said "wow, this is why things are not right in the world." she said some more things that I chose to tune out as I tried to distract my child from hearing them talk badly about us. I do not appreciate the way they handled this situation in front of my daughter and the statement she had to make. Walmart gives us the empty displays for free all of the time with no problem. im not asking them to be the same. just say no if it isn't okay. The older lady with the dark hair kind was the only one who was semi kind to us. A lot of people in this town feel like your employees are very disrespectful to customers.
