Great little book store in downtown Ogallala. I was really pleased with the selection of children's books, and the owner was super friendly. Variety of graphic novels, religious books & local Nebraska authors as well. Stores like this are getting harder to find as amazon & Walmart attempt to take over the world. Support small business! read more

Small town bookstore with limited selection which is to be expected. Went in to browse and made my selection and everything was great up to that point until time for check out. I was informed that they do not accept credit or debit cards, only cash or check which is understandable in a small town business. However, the man behind the counter commented, "Well, it looks like you need to learn to carry cash." Really? Poor choice of words and horrible customer service. Will not return. read more

Interesting little book shop in Ogallala, NE. Features some new books, some used books, and some comics. Lots of Christian books, which isn't my thing but might be yours. You could spend hours browsing the comics. You don't see stores like this very often any more in the age of Amazon and B&N. But take note: CASH ONLY. read more

I love used bookstores so was surprised to find one in North Platte. Once I came into the shop,…read morethere was quite a lot of books, but my biggest surprise was that there were several bookshelves filled with books about Japanese Americans. (It looked a lot like my bookshelf at home, with many of the same books!) Looking at the inscription on the inside of the book, as well as knowing about the Japanese community in the area, I could figure out whose collection it had come from. That's the thing about used bookstores or thrift shops in a community, that eventually things get recycled. So for anyone in the North Platte area interested in Japanese- American history, this is your rare opportunity to buy some incredible books. The collection is very good, including many books about the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, the most highly decorated World War II fighting unit made up of Nisei.
