We are kinda skeptical so decided to reach out co-yelpers who gave Swan Tiles a 5 star and they vouched for this store. So I went for it. Don't dismay because they accept credit card so in short you have protection. Why a 5 star? We are happy with our salesman, good price, and they did a great job. Delivery time is good as well. Mr. Liu , the lead guy of the installation team, is awesome. He knows his craft very well so set aside your ego and lIsten to him when gives you an advice. I went to many different store (big and small) and found them to be the best price vs quality (real wood cabinets). I had them put the cabinets together for a small fee and my contractor install them. They delivered them with no scratches or dents and they were ready to be installed. I then decided to get my countertops from them, for 3 kitchens, all measured by them. I decided to get their sink/drain also since the drain was a real unique one (you have to see it to believe it). They were all different colors and sizes. Several pieces were very custom. The installers worked hard and knew what to do on the funky walls (not flush) plus one piece was cut wrong and while I would have kept it they insisted on replacing the piece with a perfect one. Within 48 hours the new replacement piece was installed perfectly and the installer, who was amazing, even helped me do a new piece including building a bracket for it. I would use them again, as I started the review off, great price/quality.

Examples include…read moregiant stuffed bears, samurai swords, bathtubs full of cheeseburgers, telling someone off via skywriting, and dumping tons of manure in a place it shouldn't be.* But high-quality built-in shelves from Quarter Sawn? Worth your money. Manuel Calixto puts the MAN in Manuel, if that makes any sense at all. I initially requested a quote via Yelp, he got back to me quickly and came by the very next day to measure and chat. Now I just hit him up via text because we're tight like that. He is so casually competent and knowledgable; it's clear he and his family have done plenty of high-end carpentry and so he has great suggestions for what you may need. Do you need a bar? Lights for your bar? A mirror behind to show your liquor off best? Is your bar not the most important thing in your apartment? Do you need a drawer that folds down to hide your original Nintendo? A false back behind the TV to conceal all the wires? Do you need a secret compartment to hold illicit substances and/or dead bodies? (I'm just kidding about that last part. How could you fit your collection of dead bodies behind a shelf without people realizing your cabinets were way too small for the space? You couldn't, silly.) After we put down a deposit and Manuel came by for another visit to finalize the design and take some more precise measurements, we got shop drawings back just a week later. After an additional week, the unit was built and ready for installation...much sooner than expected. Manuel actually quoted us 4-6 weeks for the whole process, but he likes to under-promise and overdeliver in this case, which I like. Things I Would've Liked To Have Known Before We Started: 1. When it comes to installation, chances are Manuel will not be doing it. His guys are really nice and do great work, but I was surprised that the guy I'd been communicating with the entire time never came by during the installation process. And this made me a little sad because I love Manuel. But his brother was there, and they could be twins so that's good. And I believe his father Victor is the carpenter, and the work is excellent (the most important thing). 2. Punctuality is not always their strong suit. You should have the entire day blocked off if you want to be present for the installation (two days total). They probably won't arrive first thing in the morning (if you live in Brooklyn). Geography is annoying sometimes. 3. My cat did not like these guys. I was afraid he might be racist, but then I remembered he's just an all-around asshole and hates just about everyone. Now I don't have a cat anymore, because Manuel and his team are more important to me.** 4. Hardware is not included. If you want to have knobs or handles on your cabinets/drawers (most people need them for opening said cabinets/drawers), you should get those beforehand so you can have the guys install it, especially if you are as non-handy as I am. The Bottom Line: Manuel and his family at Quarter Sawn do beautiful work, and we are so happy with how he's transformed our small apartment into a small apartment with a lot of great-looking storage. We've come back twice, if that's any indication. Now it looks like grown-ups live here; our new shelves/cabinets blend seamlessly in with the wall, as if they were always meant to be a part of the apartment. It definitely isn't cheap, but quality work never is. (And it actually was cheaper than a few other folks we looked at.) I'm going to continue to use Quarter Sawn to build other things in the future, and you probably should too. _____________ *Look, I'm not judging you if this is how you choose to spend your money. I'm just saying I haven't found it to provide the ROI I'd ideally want. **That's not really why I don't have a cat anymore. But I really do like Manuel.

We had a couple of false starts on the first appointment, bur from that point on, John was incredibly responsive, professional and clear in communications with us. We must have had him develop and tweak the drawings 8+ times before we arrived at the final drawings. He personally came to the site to measure a few times. GKD only supplies stock cabinetry - nothing custom. Their warehouse is in New Jersey. As a result, the cabinets were delivered to us 7 days after we approved the final drawings; as promised and in good condition. One back panel was in the wrong material; the correct panel was delivered the next day. We also needed to modify and order other panels, and John was very accommodating and helpful in arranging that immediately. Other cabinet suppliers we talked to seemed to specialize in expensive custom cabinetry, which we felt was unnecessary for our needs, and the timeframe for delivery was 6 to 8 weeks (from Europe). Heaven knows what would happened if one piece was damaged or incorrect - it could protract the cabinet work by months. Speaking of costs, GKD was very affordable - again, a consideration that mattered greatly to us. The quality of the cabinets was very good, including the soft close features of the drawer and doors. The range of cabinet designs and materials was also very good. We felt we got excellent value for our money, but more than anything else, we got wonderful, personalized service from John. I highly recommend GKD and John. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

At first we were kind of skeptical of the "Made in China" type quality, and was unsure whether customer service would have attention to detail... ... and boy were we wrong! We were greeted by Ray, who took care of us from beginning to the end. We initially came in with our contractor, who provided Ray the preliminary measurements of our kitchen. And after a few back-and-forths in the store with Ray, he designed our a computerized model of our new kitchen. In the coming weeks I took about a dozen visits to the store to choose countertops, backsplash, flooring, cabinet type and color, ask Ray endless questions and make special requests - all which he happily accommodated. The cabinet company Ray had recommended is JK Cabinets. He said they were superior quality (not MDF material), and said the prices were low because they are semi-customizable (i.e. heights and widths only come in certain sizes, as opposed to being 100% customized which costs way more). After our contractor gutted the kitchen and put in the new drywall and flooring, Tigers Wood sent someone to take proper measurements for a more accurate fit our new cabinets. Rita (the other friendly Tigers Wood representative) came in person to deliver the cabinets. After my contractor installed those, another measurement was taken for a more accurate read for countertops. Those were then delivered, along with the backsplash. What I appreciated the most; even though the cabinets are semi-customizable, and cannot be changed, Ray was very solution-oriented and went out of his way to make a change to our island counter, so that a wheelchair-bound family member could access it. This spoke volumes of how Tiger Woods (and Ray) really care about making sure their clients are happy. He was also reachable via phone, always returned calls, and always provided me with accurate delivery times (and was upfront about whether certain requests could be accommodated or not). Also - the entire kitchen from Tigers Wood (floor, cabinets, backsplash and countertops) cost us under $12k total, including delivery! Yup - that's right! Of course your price may vary based on your materials chosen, and size/scope of project - but for us, this was very reasonable! I want to sincerely thank Ray and Tigers Wood for giving us the kitchen of our dreams! Only suggestion to you guys - make sure Tigers Wood has the countertop or flooring you want IN STOCK! The only snafu we had was when our entire family liked a countertop, and when it came time to order, we were told they no longer carried it. So it definitely made us scramble for a second option, but I'd recommend to ask them if they have it in stock, check its availability (as it pertains to your project deadline), and also have backups just in case! This goes for any construction project. I have nothing but accolades for this company, and highly recommend using them for your kitchen needs... I love the soft close drawers and cabinet doors!

We were settling on a white marble or grey quartz which the store didn't have in stock. It would take at least a week to do the custom order for delivery. They suggested to check in Queens, particularly College Point and Flushing where most countertop and cabinet showrooms are located. We came across Tiger Woods, coincidentally since we were parked right in front. The store's showcase is small. However, it's impressive enough that it gives you a general idea of what they offer. There is also a good selection of cabinets, sink, hardware, etc. The sales staff are phenomenal. They will give you recommendations based on your needs or wants. The guy that helped us sketched the sink layout and precise measurements to ensure a perfect cut for the countertop. I had to deduct a star due to an issue with their delivery service. Otherwise, it would had been a 4 since they were an excellent choice. We were told, they would call us a day ahead to arrange for the delivery time. Unfortunately, no one did from the store. Apparently, the same guy that assisted with the countertop was off on Wednesday. I'm now being told at 8am on a Thursday that their driver is 15-20 minutes away. This was extremely unprofessional on their part. Countertops are extremely heavy and requires at least two ppl to lift into the house. He assured me that it was under 6 foot so it should be doable. If only he was actually there in person to lift it. It was like lifting a giant slab of concrete! The driver was not happy about lifting it inside my home. This was even after I offered to tip him. Overall, I would recommend them for their service and selection. However, I would strongly suggest to call and re-check on their delivery schedule.
