What a delightful little gem in San Carlos. The place is quaint and unique with beautiful art hung everywhere. Some for sale, some not. The service was very friendly and prompt. Food was delicious. The pizzas are wood fired using cactus. There are three different seating areas, one is the bar area, dining and a beautiful outdoor terrace. The place is worth a visit, just for the ambience.

This place was absolutely beautiful. Located across highway 124 is the Sea of Cortez. The food: we started with a cheese platter and their famous hummingbird soup- impressive! The cheese platter came with melon, blueberries, Kalmata and green olives. My fiancé and I are rather skinny individuals so we were pretty full with that. The servings here are comparable to what you see in America. We both decided to go for catch of the day special, hoping it would be a fresh fish steamed or grilled. The plate came with 3 large amounts of chopped fish wrapped with bacon and hollandaise sauce poured over. The sauce was good, but the servings were very large. We probably should've stopped at the appetizers. The starter also came with bread topped with pesto! Overall, the food was good but I wasn't way over my head in love with it. Moving along, The ambience was relaxing there was a second floor we didn't know about until we saw a group of people sit there for dinner. You may also dine inside, this is where I took another star away because we had to eventually move from outside to inside because of the amount of flies. It was a continuous battle shooing them away. Total spent for two people: $48 this included an appetizer, two alcoholic beverages, and two entrees with soup. A little higher than average for San Carlos.

We visit San Carlos during Thanksgiving every year. We happen upon this restaurant and found a gem. The food is fresh and deliciously made. The chefs definitely have great taste buds because they know exactly what to pair together. The wine is really good I might add. Make a reservation especially weekends. This place is a real gem and since it's a Saturday night there is live music. They are closed for the summer. This place is worth 5 Stars!

So I have been coming to San Carlos for about 30 years now. I think this place just became my favorite restaurant in San Carlos. We knew it was 'Pasta Night' this past Thursday and thought we would go in. It had been about a year since we had been in and the last visit was good also. We had ordered the Bucatini Cabonara and the Bucahtini Alfredo. Both dishes retailed for $175 Pesos ($9.25 US with current exchange) and both were fabulous. We started dinner with the Beet Salad which was wonderful and finished with the Panna Cota which was beyond fabulous. Service was excellent and place decorated very nice. Most of all it is very dog-friendly. They have ceramic dog dishes that they bring water out to anyone with a furry friend! They have foods also. One thing we noticed upon our arrival is a beautiful wood-fired pizza oven. They have several selections of Pizza running from $110 to $175 Pesos. They have other entres such as submarines, meat such as filet mignon, and fish. Summertime specials are currently Summer Specials: Pasta Thursdays -- choose from Bucatini Alfredo, Rotini a la Veracruzana or Bucatini Carbonara; Pizza Sundays -- 2 x 1 Pizza (one topping) for 175 pesos (dine-in only).

My wife & I went here on our first night in town. The restaurant is behind an Oxxo in a small shopping center. This was actually a good location as we did not hear the street noises from the main thoroughfare. There is a large open-air seating area in front of the restaurant where there were musicians playing. We decided to eat in the restaurant where it was a bit quieter and we could still hear the music, which was artistic covers of rock songs. My wife had the chicken stuffed with cream cheese, roasted potatoes and green beans. I didn't even get a taste of the chicken... so it was delicious! I had the sea bass with red pesto sauce, potatoes & asparagus. The dish was very tasty with just the right amount of spice without being overpowering. The price was very reasonable...keeping in mind we're from the US.

Exceptional food. Exceptional service. Delicious monthly specials, breakfast. Oven fire roasted Pizza is fantastic. Beautiful ambiance. Clean bathroom....A/C inside, patio dining out overlooking see of Cortez. Family pooch is welcome outside. A regular 'go to' restaurant in San Carlos Sonora Mexico. Comida excepcional Servicio excepcional. Deliciosos especiales mensuales, desayuno.

We would probably eat every meal here and give it five stars, but the parking lot is so difficult. Way too many businesses for the size of the parking lot. That being said, the service is amazing and the food extremely fresh. The hummingbird goat salad is one of the most beautiful presentations with delicious ingredients! My favorite is Wednesday night tapas. Woodfired pizzas are also so delicious. They also have a band who plays both American and Latino oldies, nice background music. read more

What a great little outdoor restaurant/cafe in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico great food, wonderful friendly service (and for us Greengo's most of the staff speaks very good English). I had the ribeye steak with tarragon mushroom sauce, it was yummy , it was served with mashed potatoes and sautéed fresh veggies. The prices are great, and they often have some sort of live entertainment. The owner Alex is such a delightful warm person. Oh I almost forgot they have great drinks as well and for you winos a pretty good selection of vino. read more

What's not to love about this restaurant? Great food, for sure. Impeccable service. Drinks made to order. Colibri has created its own little artsy world for diners to enjoy. It is beautifully appointed with lush foliage and lighting in a secluded corner within the courtyard of an attractive building with plenty of parking. Dinners are paced to be relaxed and unhurried. We definitely did not want to hurry. We were there on a Thursday night, when musicians, Mike and Heidi performed popular favorites by request. We so enjoyed our meal and feeling the warm breezes and hearing great music and feeling a part of the San Carlos community. read more

We enjoyed our evening. I had a Spanish Calzone, it had Spanish Chrizo, assorted veggies and lots of cheese! My date had a meat lovers one filled with the usual suspects! They didn't have small salads so we ordered a large house salad and they gladly divided it into 2 smaller plates back of house. I had a fresh strawberry mojito, yum! We sat outside and about halfway through our meal a live band started playing. It was acoustic guitar, easy listening not obnoxious. The server was very polite and accommodating to our needs. Wonderful evening out. ( sorry no pics, it didn't occur to me as I was enjoying myself) read more

What a fantastic dining experience! Colibri is a gorgeous oasis with seating both indoors and out on patio spaces. It's basically a restaurant inside an art gallery that is nestled in a lush garden (and, yes, the art is for sale - many of us brought art home!). I came with a large group (11 people) but our food and drinks were served quickly. We ended up sharing most of our dishes and they were all delicious! Standouts were the goat cheese stuffed mushrooms, the fried green beans, and all of the different wood-fired pizzas. I was excited to see so many vegetarian options, so everyone's dietary preferences were met without having to customize. We were told that the menu changes every month to accommodate the fresh flavors that each season brings, which means I'll have to come back soon for more! read more

Colibrí has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to in San Carlos. The space itself is taken great care of, and there's local art displayed all over the walls which is so cool! (A friend of mine ended up buying a painting) The decor is gorgeous, the staff is friendly, the owner is so nice!! It's clean and the food is delicious. We had a pizza and ordered two different kinds. It was so good! Also had margs to go with our meal and those were so tasty! We will come back here every time we come to SC! read more
Rocking One of the best restaurants in town, filet mignon pizza with jalapeños and chorizo..yum. Desert is cheesecake, like no where else read more
What a very pleasant place this is. We had a reservation and while we waited a little longer than expected to be seated, the manager offered our group a free round of drinks for the inconvenience. There was live music, excellent service, comfortable seating and an all around pleasant ambience under the Mexican skies. The drinks list was varied and the menu was very good. I had filet mignon, my wife had the rib eye. We ended with home made apple pie and ice cream. This is a restaurant which could keep competitive company anywhere in the tropical world. For the record they top out with filet mignon, but they have great pizzas, salads and Mexican dishes also. Want a good night out in San Carlos? This is a great destination! read more

Beautiful food, beautiful atmosphere, good music. This place is great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The service is outstanding and the deco is super cool. Feels like I'm sitting in a Mediterranean cafe even though I'm on the Sea of Cortez. Bring your dog if you want to sit outside. What a great place. Get coffee next door at the Pakal Kin. It's fresh ground. read more

Pricy for what you get. Food is good and prepared with care. Make sure you make reservations before you go. Most likely will not go again due to the price point to me was not worth it. Great caring wait staff read more
